Abstract

Forest Area with Special Purposes (KHDTK) Buluh Cina requires a land suitability analysis so that the development of plant species can be carried out optimally. This study aims to map land units and determine land suitability classes. This study uses aerial photography to classify land cover and take soil samples. Furthermore, overlay analysis and species matching were carried out for 7 types of plants including durian, rambutan, sengon, mango, cacao, pineapple, and corn. The land suitability class is divided into 4 levels namely, very suitable (S1), suitable (S2), marginally suitable (S3), and not suitable (N). Based on the results, the actual land suitability class at KHDTK Buluh Cina class S1 was rambutan at SPL I and III. Land suitability class S2 is rambutan at SPL II and IV. S3 land suitability classes are durian, sengon, mango, cocoa, pineapple, and corn in SPL I, II, III, and IV. The potential land suitability class at KHDTK Buluh Cina class S1 is rambutan at SPL I, II, III and IV. Land suitability class S2 is durian, sengon, and cocoa at SPL I, II, III, and IV. S3 land suitability class is mango, pineapple, and corn in SPL I, II, III, and IV.

Abstract

Agarwood (A. malaccensis Lamk.) is one of the important tropical forest trees, which produces a high economically valuable fragrant resinous wood. The increase of agarwood demand from year to year leads to uncontrolled illegal harvest of this plant from its natural habitat. To encounter this problem, there is an urgent need to develop agarwood plantation. Tissue culture is an alternative method to provide genetically good seedlings for plantation in the future due to its short period and mass quantity of planlet production. In addition, through this method, its might also provide homogenous plant, and free pest and diseases. The objectives of the study were (1) to find out the optimal concentration of BAP or TDZ for inducing shoot multiplication of agarwood in in vitro conditions. MS (Murashige And Skoog, 1962), was used as basal media. The experimental design of the research was completely randomized design (RAL) with treatment of BAP concentration (control; 0,50 ppm; 0,75 ppm; 1,0 ppm) or TDZ concentration (control; 0,25 ppm; 0,50 ppm; 0,75 ppm), in 3 units, of replicate every units consist of 4 bottles, every bottle containing one explants coming from axillaries and adventitious shoot explants. Results indicated that two types of agarwood explants grown in vitro in MS basal media containing BAP 0,50 ppm or TDZ 0,25 ppm produced the highest number of shoots and leaves of agarwood plantlets, as well as its plantlet shoot length.Keywords : BAP , TDZ , Agarwood, In Vitro.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pemilihan tulang ayam sebagai bahan dasar pembuatan pupuk karenakandungan kalsium dan magnesium pada tulang ayam tersebut merupakan unsurhara makro yang mutlak dibutuhkan tanaman dalam jumlah banyak. Denganpemberian pupuk tulang ayam tersebut maka unsur kalsium dan magnesium dalamtanah dapat di suplay dan juga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pH tanah.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji tulang ayam sebagai bahan ameliorasi terhadappertumbuhan tanaman sorghum serta sifat -sifat kimia tanah PMK (Podzolik MerahKuning) Pekanbaru Percobaan lapangan dilakukan secara eksperimen dengan Rancangan AcakLengkap (RAL) non faktorial dengan perlakuan pupuk tulang ayam. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji t. Pengamatan dilakukan terhadap tinggi tanaman padaakhir penelitian dan sifat-sifat kimia tanah PMK. Hasil analisa menunjukkanterjadinya peningkatan hasil pertumbuhan tanaman sorghum.

Abstract

Abstrak 1 Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengetahui karakteristikpermasalahan di Tahura Sultan Syarif Hasyim (2) Merumuskan alternatif strategi pengelolaan Tahura Sultan Syarif Hasyim. (3) Menentukan strategi prioritas yangdapat direkomendasikan untuk dapat diterapkan dalam pengelolaan Tahura SultanSyarif Hasyim. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Taman Hutan Raya Sultan Syarief Hasyim dengan metode survey dan pengambilan data purposive sampling . Analisis AHPterhadap pakar menunjukkan strategi yang paling utama adalah pengelolaan agroforestry dan ekowisata. Berdasarkan analisis SWOT, terdapat strategioperasional yang harus dilakukan oleh pemerintah (1) membuat regulasi yangmengatur tentang pengelolaan kawasan konservasi secara khusus (2) Pengembangan mengatur tentang pengelolaan kawasan konservasi secara khusus (2) Pengembangan ekowisata dan agroforestry berbasis masyarakat (3) Mengoptimalkan dukunganmasyarakat dan pemerintah dalam pengelolaan Tahura SSH

Abstract

Bukit Permata Sumbari II has a dry environment and Podsolik Merah Kuning soil type so that the people really need to improve the environmental conditions around the housing through tree planting activities. The problem of partners is the difficulty in getting tree seedlings, planting equipment to fertilizer. Team provided a solution by providing counseling the technical and maintenance of trees, also facilitated tree planting activities so that the residential environment was balanced. The activities carried out were counseling on tree planting and maintenance techniques, procurement of facilities and infrastructure in the form of 60 seedlings and planting equipment, field assistance to evaluation by percent growth, giving questionnaires before and after activities. Based on the results of the statistical tests was concluded that there was a significant difference in the ability of partners to increase due to counseling. The practice of planting 100% managed to grow well.

Abstract

The existence of Covid-19 quickly resulted in many losses, so the government implemented a new normal. This policy encourages all parties to take various ways to restore the economic, social, and cultural conditions, one of which is by cultivating Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) which also functions to increase the body immunity and utilizing yard land that has not been managed optimally. The activities are socialization about TOGA, cultivation techniques, cultivation practices, mentoring, and evaluation. This activity was carried out during the new normal at RT.03 RW. 05, Limbungan Rumbai was attended by 15 partners. Partners are enthusiastic about cultivating TOGA and have increased knowledge after the implementation of the extension. The practice of planting the 45 TOGA seeds given, 100% succeeded in growing well. The success of growing seedlings include quality seeds, correct planting techniques and giving fertilizer at the right dose.

Abstract

Agroforestri Rusunawa Unilak merupakan areal yang dikhususkan pemanfatannya untuk penelitian, wisata bagi masyarakat sekitar dan sebagai lokasi pengembangan buah di dalam kampus. Air limbah ternak lele berpotensial digunakan sebagai pupuk tanaman buah.  Selain sifatnya organik, air limbah ternak lele mudah didapat dan murah harganya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis respon pertumbuhan Kelengkeng terhadap air limbah ternak lele. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 5 bulan di areal Agroforestri Rusunawa Unilak. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 1 faktor, yaitu dosis air limbah ternak lele. Dosis air limbah lele terdiri dari 4 taraf, yaitu kontrol, 250ml, 500 ml, dan 750 ml.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian dosis air limbah lele (250 ml, 500 ml dan 750 ml) mampu meningkatkan pertambahan tinggi, diameter, dan lebar tajuk Kelengkeng dibandingkan kontrol.

Abstract

Hutan merupakan penyerap karbon terbesar di daratan yang memiliki peranan penting dalam siklus karbon global dan dapat menyimpan karbon lebih besar dibandingkan dengan tipe vegetasi lainnya. Hutan berperan penting dalam menjaga kestabilan iklim global karena kemampuannya menyerap CO2 melalui proses fotosistesis. Cagar Alam Bukit Bungkuk merupakan salah satu kawasan konservasi yang berada di Riau. Cagar Alam ini berada di beberapa desa antaranya yaitu Desa Tanjung Alai, Desa Balung, Desa Bukit Melintang, Desa Pulau Terap dan Desa Merangin. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Meragin, Cagar Alam Bukit Bungkuk Kabupaten Kampar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menduga potensi karbon yang tersimpan di Desa Merangin, Cagar Alam Bukit Bungkuk Kabupaten Kampar. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama ± 2 bulan yaitu bulan Mei sampai Juni 2021. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif dengan cara non-destructive dengan mengukur diameter tiang dan pohon dengan phiband. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah Systematic Sampling with Random Start dengan jumlah sampel plot sebanyak 25 plot. Pendugan potensi biomassa dengan menggunakan persamaan alometrik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diduga potensi biomassa yang ada di Desa Merangin adalah sebesar 94.124,95 ton, potensi karbon tersimpan sebesar 47.061,81 ton dan potensi serapan CO2 172.719,01 ton.
