Abstract

Coffee is one of the plantation commodities that has quite high economic value among other plantation crops such as cocoa and tea. One of the villages as a smallholder coffee producer is the village of Mulyorejo. Mulyorejo Village is the largest coffee producing village out of nine villages in Silo District, Jember Regency. So far, coffee pod waste has caused many problems in its handling and is left to rot, stacked and burned, all of which have a negative impact on the environment, so we need to think about countermeasures. Coffee skin waste has the potential to be processed back into a product because it has a fairly high economic value. The activities carried out were in the form of counseling and demonstrations on the manufacture and introduction of Coffee Skin Tea products. The purpose of holding counseling activities is to increase target knowledge about the potential of coffee skin waste, the processing system of coffee skin waste, the benefits of coffee skin waste for health, and the nutritional content of coffee skin waste.

Abstract

This research discusses the role of the Mulyorejo Village Government, Jember Regency, in the development of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in the 2020-2024 period. BUMDes development is directed at improving the welfare of village communities through sustainable use of local economic resources. The Village Government has an important role in developing, supervising and providing support to BUMDes. Through a qualitative approach, this research uses interviews, observation and documentation as data collection methods. Mulyorejo Village, located in Silo District, Jember Regency, is the research location. The results of the research show that the Mulyorejo Village Government has designed a comprehensive strategy for the development of BUMDes involving the formulation of plans, outreach and development in collaboration with other parties. The Village Government provides capital assistance, provides land for BUMDes buildings, and carries out management and marketing training. The Village Government also regularly checks BUMDes financial reports to ensure transparency and accountability. Overall, the Village Government's actions reflect their commitment to supporting village economic development through BUMDes. This research concludes that the Village Government has a significant role in developing and supervising BUMDes, as well as providing support in the form of capital assistance and provision of facilities. These steps create synergy between the government and the community in supporting village economic development through BUMDes. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini membahas peran Pemerintah Desa Mulyorejo, Kabupaten Jember, dalam pengembangan Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) pada periode 2020-2024. Pengembangan BUMDes diarahkan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat desa melalui pemanfaatan sumber daya ekonomi lokal secara berkelanjutan. Pemerintah Desa memiliki peran penting dalam membina, mengawasi, dan memberikan dukungan kepada BUMDes. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Desa Mulyorejo, terletak di Kecamatan Silo, Kabupaten Jember, menjadi lokasi penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pemerintah Desa Mulyorejo telah merancang strategi komprehensif untuk pengembangan BUMDes dengan melibatkan perumusan rencana, sosialisasi, dan pembangunan kerja sama dengan pihak lain. Pemerintah Desa memberikan bantuan modal, menyediakan tanah untuk gedung BUMDes, penyediaan tanah untuk pasar mini Mulyorejo dan melaksanakan pelatihan manajemen dan pemasaran. Pemerintah Desa juga melakukan pemeriksaan laporan keuangan BUMDes secara rutin untuk memastikan transparansi dan akuntabilitas. Keseluruhan, tindakan Pemerintah Desa mencerminkan komitmen mereka dalam mendukung perkembangan ekonomi desa melalui BUMDes.Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Pemerintah Desa memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam membina dan mengawasi BUMDes, serta memberikan dukungan berupa bantuan modal dan penyediaan sarana. Langkah-langkah ini menciptakan sinergi antara pemerintah dan masyarakat dalam mendukung pengembangan ekonomi desa melalui BUMDes.
