Abstract

One of the agricultural commodities in Indonesia which is a potential commodity is the rice plant commodity. The purpose of this study was to determine how much the cost, revenue, income of the field rice farming and how much the efficiency of the cost of the farm rice farming and what factors influence farmers' interest in upland rice cultivation in Ranuyoso Village, Ranuyoso District, Lumajang Regency. The basic method of this research is using purposive sample method. data collection by interview, direct observation and documentation. The analysis used is revenue analysis which includes cost and revenue analysis and multiple linear regression analysis t-test, F-test (ANOVA) and R-test using the SPSS version 16 computer program. shown are the factors that influence the cultivation of upland rice in Ranuyoso Village, Ranuyoso District, Lumajang Regency are the factors of capital and income factors, while the factors that do not affect are the factors of land area and fertilizer prices.

Abstract

Chili is a commodity that is much loved by most people in Indonesia, besides that this one plant is easy to cultivate. Jember Regency is one of the chili producing places, precisely in Kalisat District with a cultivation area of around 521 ha. The aims of this research are (1). To find out the distribution flow of the Cayenne Pepper supply chain at Kalisat Market, Jember Regency, (2). To find out the Marketing Margin of Cayenne Pepper in the Jember Regency Kalaisat Market, (3). To find out the Efficiency of the Cayenne Pepper Marketing Channel at Kalisat Market, Jember Regency. The sampling method used in this research is purposive sampling. The results of this study indicate that 1) There are 2 marketing channels in Kalisat Market, namely: Channel I (Farmers/Producers-Resellers-Traders-Consumers), Channel II (Producers-Retailers-Consumers). 2) Margin for each marketing channel I is IDR 7,000, while Channel II is IDR. 3,000. 3) Efficiency Efficient marketing channel channel 1 is equal to 20% while channel II is equal to 8%. So the supply chain is used effectively, namely short channels because the costs incurred are not so large and high marketing profits can be suppressed

Abstract

In Indonesia, stunting is also an urgent public health problem. This study identified several main factors that contribute to stunting, such as family income, exclusive breastfeeding practices, parental education, nutritional knowledge, food access, and complementary feeding practices. Awareness and appropriate action from the community is very important in preventing stunting. The aim of the implementation activities in Karang Semanding Hamlet, Sukorejo Village, Bangsalsari District, Jember Regency is to overcome the problem of stunting by providing counseling and assistance to pregnant women and toddlers who are members of the Family Hope Program (PKH). The training was attended by 25 PKH members. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in members' knowledge about stunting and stunting prevention, who initially did not understand, now they understood. It is hoped that future activities can apply stunting prevention methods to improve health and reduce stunting rates. Therefore, it is hoped that education and counseling about stunting will be key in efforts to overcome this problem and improve the quality of life for children in the future.
