Abstract

This article will explain asynchronous learn- ing system using attractive discussion forums and video teaching materials features for user so that the devel- opment of both features will increase e-learning system usage by students and lecturers which can eventually im- prove the students’ absorption on the provided teaching materials, increase the active participation of students, improve self-learning ability, and to improve the quality of learning materials. The method used in this study by distributing questionnaires in online form to stakeholders users consisting of lecturers and students with the num- ber of respondents is 225 people and author use model ADDIE which focuses on Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation as development design. Results of this study is an application of web-based asynchronous learning which can be used by students and lecturers with the results of the application evaluation is based on a survey to students and lecturers. From this study, can be concluded that to support online learning with asynchronous method using the video learning feature in online lecture needs to be developed in order to support the science transformation process from lecturers to students. Attractive video teaching  materials  model for students has characteristics such as screen shots and presentation models.

Abstract

SMK Negeri 1 Kabanjahe dalam melakukan pengolahan data-data guru dan pegawai masih dilakukan dengan cara manual sehingga hal ini telah menurunkan tingkat efesiensi dan efektifitas pekerjaan para pegawai dan guru dalam memberikan pelayanan yang maksimal terhadap penyajian laporan-laporan yang berhubungan dengan data-data guru dan pegawai. Aplikasi yang dibuat ini merupakan salah satu solusi penyelesaian masalah di atas yang selama ini menjadi permasalahan utama yang sering dihadapi oleh pegawai bagian tata usaha SMK Negeri 1 Kabanjahe dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pengolahan data. Aplikasi ini dirancang dan dibuat dengan menggunakan Microsoft Visual Basic sebagai interface perancangan, Crystal Report sebagai interface perancangan dan penyajian laporan serta MySQL sebagai koneksi aplikasi dengan database yang dibutuhkan.

Abstract

TMIK Methodist Binjaimerupakan sebuah lembaga pendidikan formal khusus bagi mahasiswa/i. STMIK Methodist Binjai memiliki 4 (empat) program studi. Metode Decision Tree merupakan alat pendukung dengan struktur seperti pohon yang memodelkan kemungkinan hasil, biaya, sumberdaya, utilitas, dan kemungkinan konsekuensi. Decision Tree atau pohon keputusan karena pilihannya bercabang, membentuk struktur yang terlihat seperti pohon. Adapun tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui dan memahami penggunaan dan cara kerja dari Metode Decision Tree terhadap aplikasi penentuan penerimaan beasiswa’ Untuk menghasilkan sebuah aplikasi yang dapat membantu pihak kampus dalam penentuan penerimaan beasiswa supaya tepat sasaran.

Abstract

Advances in digital technology have influenced the transformation and growth of Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) globally. [1] The use of technology in the learning and training process for an educational institution has become a significant necessity in the competitive era of globalization. Many studies discussing the utilization of elearning in the teaching and learning process noted various challenges in the implementation in Indonesia. In this study the author wants to review the monitoring of the use of web-based compiler applications in the learning process of programming languages. The variables that will be used to measure the success of onlineGDB application utilization in the teaching and learning process include: The use of the GDB Online application, student understanding of programming languages, the final results in the learning process. The target respondents who were successfully collected were 146 people consisting of 141 students and 5 lecturers from various universities in North Sumatra-Indonesia. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires, observations and interviews. The results of this study indicate the use of the onlineGDB compiler application can improve the understanding of students in learning programming languages, this can be seen from the results of the compilation of questionnaires conducted for 3 months with 3 variables to measure the success of the programming language learning process, namely 1. The use of the GDB Online application, 2. Student understanding of programming languages, 3. The final results in the learning process.
