Abstract

The curriculum is a guide used for the learning process at school. The curriculum in Indonesia continues to develop in line with the changing times and the needs of society. Curriculum changes aim to adapt to advances in science and technology, solve existing problems in the education system, and achieve learning objectives.In this study the authors used qualitative research with a literature study research method. The author uses existing texts, such as books, journal articles, research reports, and other documents as data sources. Changes in the curriculum are inevitable, curriculum development is needed so that education can meet the needs of society. In the course of history since 1945, the national basic education curriculum has undergone changes, namely: 1) Rentjana Pelajaran 1947, 2) Rentjana Pelajaran Terurai 1952, 3) 1964 Education Plan, 5) 1975 Curriculum, 6) 1984 Curriculum (CBSA), 7) 1994 Curriculum and 1999 Curriculum Supplement, 8) Competency-Based Curriculum (KBK) in 2004, 9) 2006 Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP), 10) 2013 Curriculum (K-13), 11) Merdeka Curriculum in 2022.

Abstract

In the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0, strengthening the learner profile of Pancasila is an important effort to develop a strong and quality character of learners. Through integrated Pancasila education, the establishment of a conducive school environment, responsibleuse of technology, and the active role of family and community, learners can develop strong character, integrity, and be able to adapt to the changes that occur in this digital era. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method.Character education based on Pancasila can help learners in dealing with various ethical and moral dilemmas that arise in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, such as the responsible use of technology, fairness in the use of digital resources, and the development of critical thinking skills in filtering information obtained from the internet. Pancasila-based character education can help learners in dealing with ethical and moral dilemmas that arise in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The Pancasila learner profile consists of various competencies organized into six key dimensions that are interrelated and reinforcing. The six dimensions of the Pancasila learner profile are: 1) faith, devotion to God Almighty, and noble character, 2) global diversity, 3) mutual cooperation, 4) creativity, 5) critical reasoning, and 6) independence.
