The curriculum is a guide used for the learning process at school. The curriculum in Indonesia continues to develop in line with the changing times and the needs of society. Curriculum changes aim to adapt to advances in science and technology, solve existing problems in the education system, and achieve learning objectives.In this study the authors used qualitative research with a literature study research method. The author uses existing texts, such as books, journal articles, research reports, and other documents as data sources. Changes in the curriculum are inevitable, curriculum development is needed so that education can meet the needs of society. In the course of history since 1945, the national basic education curriculum has undergone changes, namely: 1) Rentjana Pelajaran 1947, 2) Rentjana Pelajaran Terurai 1952, 3) 1964 Education Plan, 5) 1975 Curriculum, 6) 1984 Curriculum (CBSA), 7) 1994 Curriculum and 1999 Curriculum Supplement, 8) Competency-Based Curriculum (KBK) in 2004, 9) 2006 Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP), 10) 2013 Curriculum (K-13), 11) Merdeka Curriculum in 2022.
