Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of complete feed with silage levels of a mixture of sorghum and gamal leaves and different concentrates on consumption the digestibility of nitrogen free extract (NFE) and energy of local goats. In this study, 4 local ewes aged 6-8 months were used with a body weight range of 11-15 kg with an average of 12.88 kg and a coefficient of variation of 6.74%. The method used is the Latin Square Design method with 4 treatments and 4 periods as replications. The treatment in this study was P0 = 80% silage + 20% concentrate, P1 = 70% silage + 30% concentrate, P2 = 60% silage + 40% concentrate and P3 = 50% silage + 50% concentrate. The parameters studied in this study were the consumption and digestibility of NFE and energy. The results showed that consumption of NFE P0 227.21 g/e/h, P1 243.82 g/e/h, P2 207.80 g/e/h, P3 197.99 g/e/h; digestibility of NFE P0 71.95%, P1 78.36%, P2 76.49%, P3 72.60%; energy consumption P0 2009.08 kkal/e/h, P1 2149.27 kkal/e/h, P2 1854.84 kkal/e/h, P3 1760.87 kkal/e/h and energy digestibility P0 66.03%, P1 70.93%, P2 67.99%, P3 64.01%. The results of analysis of variance showed that treatment had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the consumption and digestibility of NFE and energy. The conclusion of this study was that the provision of complete feed based on a mixture of sorghum and gamal leaf silage at different levels had no significant effect on the consumption and digestibility of NFE and the energy of local ewes.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of blood metabolite concentrations on Ongole x Brahman cross cattle fed kume grass silage and Alycicarpus vaginalis at different balances. The livestock used were 4 Ongole x Brahman cattle with an average body weight of 167.25 kg (KV = 15.6%) with an age range of 8-12 months and a body weight of 171,5-200 kg. This research was carried out using the experimental method with the Latin square design (RBSL) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments in this study were AV0 = Silage 70% Kume Grass + 30% concentrate, AV20 = Silage 56% Kume Grass + 14% Alysicarpus vaginalis + 30% Concentrate, AV40 = Silage 42% Kume Grass + 28% Alysicarpus vaginalis + 30% Concentrate, AV60 = Silage 28% Kume Grass + 42% Alysicarpus vaginalis + 30% Concentrate. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showed blood glucose concentrations AV0=69.94±2.83 mg/dl, AV20=76.23±2.23 mg/dl, AV40= 74.57±6.41 mg/dl, AV60=71.96±2.51 mg/dl. Blood Urea concentration AV0= 42.08±1.74mg/dl, AV20= 42.08±180mg/dl, AV40= 40.93±1.24mg/dl, AV60= 43.46±0.75mg/dl. Total Plasma Protein AV0= 6.55±0.30mg/dl, AV20= 6.35±0.34mg/dl, AV40= 6.35±0.34mg/dl, AV60= 6.80±0.00mg/dl. Based on the analysis of variance, it showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P>0.05) on blood glucose, blood urea and total plasma protein. It was concluded that the administration of kume grass silage and Alysicarpus vaginalis with different balances showed relatively the same results on blood glucose concentration, blood urea concentration and total plasma protein in Ongole x Brahman cross cattle so that they could be used as alternative feed.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving complete silage based on sorghum clitoria from the integration of different mixed plantings on the blood profile of hematocrit, erythrocytes and leukocytes of local female goats. The livestock used in this study amounted to 4 female bean goats aged 6-8 months in the range of 17-23 kg with an average of 19.9 kg and a coefficient of variation of 12.0%. This study used the Latin square design method (RBSL) with 4 treatments and 4 periods as a repeat The treatment is R0 = complete feed silage of sorghum, R1 = complete feed silage of sorghum + legume clitoria + bitter melon horti R2 = complete feed silage of sorghum + clitoria legume + cucumber horti, R3 = complete feed silage of sorghum + clitoria legume + long bean horti. The parameters observed are hematrocytes, erythrocytes, leukocytes . The data obtained were analyzed using Fingerprint analysis. Based on the results of the study, the average Hematocrit R0: 31.65; R1: 31.77; R2: 31.46; R3: 31.07; mean Erythrocytes R0: 9.77; R1: 9.78; R2: 9.72; R3: 9.68; mean Leukocytes R0: 10.06; R1: 10.11; R2: 10.12; R3: 10.09; that the administration of sorghum-based complete feed silage as an absorbant has no real effect (P >0.05) on hematocrit, erythrocytes and leukocytes. Thus, it can be concluded that the provision of complete silage based on sorghum clitoria resulting from the integration of different mixed plantings has the same effect and is under normal conditions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of forage silage of Sorghum plumosum var Timorense (Grass kume) and Alysicarpus vaginalis (Leguminosa). using a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 4 repilications. The four treatments were AV0 (100% Kume grass), AV20 (80% Kume grass + 20% Alysicarpus vaginalis) AV40 (60% Kume grass + 40% Alysicarpus vaginalis), AV60 (40% Kume grass + 60% Alysicarpus vaginalis). The results obtained are the average. pH AV0: 6.450±0.24; AV20: 6.450±0.27; AV40: 6.500±0.25; AV60: 6.500±0.18. NH3 (mM) AV0:139.543 ±;13.30 AV20: 138.641±15.17 ;AV40: 146.169±15.74 14.365±2.30; AV60:  136.815±21.47. VFA (mM) AV0: 13.356±1.05; AV20: 13.814±3.28; AV40: 14.365±2.30 ; AV60: 13.473±1.16. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the Ph value, NH3 concentration and VFA so it can be concluded that kume grass and Alysicapus vaginalis silage had the same effect on pH, NH3 concentration, and VFA.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of complete feed based on a mixture of sorghum and Gamal leaf silage at different levels addition on consumption, digestibility of crude protein, and crude fiber of local female goats. In this study, 4 female local goats aged 6-8 months were used with a weight range of 11-15 kg with an average of 12.88 kg and a coefficient of variation of 6.74%. The method used is experimental with 4 treatments and 4 periods as repetition. The treatment in this study was P0 = complete feed (80% Sorghum silage + 20% concentrate), P1 = complete feed (70% Sorghum silage + 30% concentrate), P2 = complete feed (60% Sorghum silage + 40% concentrate) and P3 = complete feed (50% Sorghum silage + 50% concentrate). The parameters studied were crude protein and fiber consumption and digestibility. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance. The results showed that PK consumption was P0 91.05 g/h/d, P1 97.84 g/h/d, P2 85.52 g/h/d, P3 81.73 g/h/d; digestibility of PK P0 67.28%, P1 71.83%, P2 69.31%, P3 65.61%; SK consumption P0 112.90 g/h/d, P1 118.47 g/h/d, P2 101.30 g/h/d, P3 94.97 g/h/d and SK digestibility P0 54 .60 %, P1 58.40 %; P2 52.96 %, P3 48.20 %. The analysis of variance showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the consumption and digestibility of PK and SK female local goats. This study concluded that the provision of complete feed based on silage mixed with sorghum and Gamal leaves at different levels added had the same effect on the consumption and digestibility of PK and SK of female local goats.
