Abstract

Pregnancy can cause the body to be very susceptible to low hemoglobin levels, which during pregnancy require sufficient iron for the body. If the body loses iron, anemia will occur, because the body requires the intake of foods that contain iron. Anemia itself where the value of the hemoglobin level is less than the normal value or below the normal value. So if a pregnant woman has a hemoglobin level below the normal value, she will be prone to anemia. The risk of anemia during pregnancy can occur in the fetus because it can affect the growth and development of the fetus and baby, as well as babies born prematurely or with reduced body weight. Dates are a fruit which contains many benefits for the body, one of which is to prevent anemia. The content of the date palm itself contains nutrients for the body such as protein, vitamin A, vitamin C, thiamine, ribovalfin, nicotinic acid, and iron. To determine hemoglobin levels in pregnant women before and after giving dates. The research method used this time was preexperimental with a one-group pre-test post-test research design. While the examination using the cyanmethemoglobin method. The results of the study of hb levels before being given dates with an average result of 11.94 and after being given dates the average result was 12.65 which showed an increase in hb levels. Data analysis using the Paired Sample Test statistical test obtained the results of sig (2 tailed) of 0.207 or > 0.05. From the results of the statistical analysis of the Paired Sample Test, it can be said that Ho is accepted, which means that there is no significant effect on the administration of dates on hemoglobin levels before and after.

Testing a food to determine whether it is suitable for consumption, one of which uses the approach of the number of microbes contained in food products. One of them is the Total Plate Number (ALT) method. The Total Plate Numbers (ALT) method is widely used for calculating the number of microbes in products that show the quality of contamination and hygiene of a product during the production process. This study aims to determine the value of microbial contamination numbers in marrow porridge sold at Pasar Pasalaran Cirebon, determine the marrow porridge that does not meet the requirements of BPOM RI regulation No. 13 of 2019 regarding the maximum limit of microbial contamination of food, and determine the percentage of marrow porridge that does not meet the requirements of BPOM RI regulation No. 13 of 2019 regarding the maximum limit of microbial contamination of processed food sold at Pasar Pasalaran Cirebon. This research method is descriptive quantitative while the examination is by the total plate number of bacteria method. Sampling was done by accidental sampling method. The samples of this study were 5 samples of marrow porridge sold in Cirebon Pasalaran Market with the weight of each sample of 10 grams. Based on the results of the study, the value of Total Bacterial Plate Numbers in marrow porridge sold in Pasar Pasalaran Cirebon Regency was the highest at 3.8 x 105 colonies / g and the lowest at 2.5 x 103 colonies / g. There were 3 samples of marrow porridge sold in Pasar Pasalaran Cirebon Regency. There are 3 samples of marrow porridge that do not meet the requirements of BPOM RI regulation No.13 of 2019, namely samples A, D, and E. Abstract

Anemia is one of the conditions in which the body lacks enough red blood cells or hemoglobin to meet its physiological needs depending on the person's age, gender, age, pregnancy stage and breastfeeding stage because at the breastfeeding stage, the mother is susceptible to experiencing anemia due to iron depletion during breastfeeding and the occurrence of postpartum blood loss. Beetroot (Beta Vulgaris) is a fruit that contains quite high iron and has many nutrients. Beetroot can be used as an alternative to anemia treatment and can also be used as a prevention of anemia. The purpose of this community service activity is to give beets to breastfeeding mothers, namely to increase the knowledge of breastfeeding mothers about the benefits of beets in preventing and treating anemia. The method used in this activity is counseling by means of socialization first then followed by observation using questionnaires and blood sampling for hemoglobin examination. This activity took place at the Posyandu Sukasari Kaler Village, Majalengka Regency on April 14 – 21, 2023. Abstract

Metabolic processes in the body decrease with age. One of them occurs in calcium, when the age of more than 50 years, the amount of calcium in the body decreases by 30%. Meanwhile, if more than 70 years old, it decreases by about 50%. The imbalance of calcium levels in the body causes various diseases, one of which is osteoporosis. Osteoporosis occurs because the bones experience a decrease in bone mass due to lack of calcium intake in the body so that the body uses calcium reserves in the bones and teeth to meet calcium needs in the body. Because of the use of calcium in the bones, it causes the bones to lose mass so that they become porous, brittle, and even broken. One group that is prone to osteoporosis is the elderly. The purpose of this study was to determine serum calcium levels below normal values and the percentage of serum calcium levels below normal values in the elderly. The research method used was analytic survey, while the examination method used Cresolphtalein Complexone (CPC). The population in the study were 33 elderly aged 60 - 74 years in RW 03 Kaliwadas Village, Sumber District, Cirebon Regency. This study used a total sampling technique, so the sample used was the entire elderly population aged 60 - 74 years in RW 03 Kaliwadas Village. The research data were analyzed using the SPSS chi-square test program, and the value of Asymp. Sig. (2- Sided) is less than 0.05 which is 0.010. There are serum casium levels that are below normal values in the elderly with a percentage of 66.7%.
