<![CDATA[Abstrak - Gurita merupakan salah satu dari spesies dalam kelas Cephalopoda yang terdiri dari 289 spesies dan memiliki akitivitas hidup cepat tetapi umumnya mati dalam kondisi muda. di Indonesia di duga terdapat di perairan Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku dan Banda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik morfometrik dari gurita (Octopus Cyanea) di perairan Arubara,Kelurahan Tetandara Kecamatan Ende Selatan Kabupaten Ende Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur. Data jenis hasil tangkapan di peroleh dari nelayan ketika melakukan pembongkaran hasil tangkapan gurita. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa jenis berdasarkan karakteristik hasil tangkapan yang di daratkan di perairan Arubara yakni satu spesies yaitu gurita (OctopusCyanea) dengan jumlah gurita (OctopusCyanea) jantan 78% dan jumlah gurita (OctopusCyanea) betina 22%.
