Abstract

According to WHO, there are 4 main factors that influence incidence of stunting, namely maternal and environmental factors, barriers to breastfeeding, infection factors, and complementary feeding factors. Fat is one of nutrients that affect growth and development of children and found in many foodstuffs, one of which is Seluang fish. Nutritional content contained in fresh seluang fish per 100 g consists of 47.54 mg protein, 12.36 mg fat, 21.53 kilo calories, 2.9 ppm iron, 0.38 ppm copper, and 3.64 zinc ppm. This study aims to determine the effect of frying time on fat content of fish and to determine best length of time that can maintain fat content in seluang fish. This study uses experimental research methods. Design used in this study was completely randomized study design, object in form of seluang fish was treated by frying it with three different types of times. There is a difference in fat content between the frying time of 7.5 minutes, 8 minutes and 8.5 minutes with value of p = 0.004 (<0.05). There is an effect of length of frying time on fat content of seluang fish (p <0.05). The best length of time that can maintain the fat content in Seluang fish is 7.5 minutes.

Abstract

Anemia is a non-communicable disease that is one of the main causes of insufficient iron reserves or a component that forms red blood cells or hemoglobin (Hb). One factor suspected to influence anemia is the duration of menstruation. This study aims to determine the relationship between the duration of menstruation and hemoglobin levels in female students of the Faculty of Medicine at Palangka Raya University from the 2020, 2021, and 2022 cohorts in the year 2023. The study was conducted on 74 female students selected through random sampling. Menstrual duration data were collected online in the form of a Google Form, and Hb level data were obtained directly from the Hb Test Meter MHD-1. This research is an Analytical Observational study with a Cross-Sectional approach that will be analyzed using the Spearman test. Respondents were aged 18-22 years, and out of 74 respondents, 72 respondents (97.3%) had a normal menstrual duration, while 2 respondents (2.7%) had an abnormal menstrual duration. In the examination of Hb levels, 46 respondents (62.2%) did not have anemia, while 28 respondents (37.8%) had anemia. Based on the results of the Spearman test, a p-value of 0.724 (p>0.05) was obtained, indicating that the hypothesis is rejected, and there is no relationship between the duration of menstruation and hemoglobin levels.

The highest level of stress is experienced by female students who are preparing a thesis as an undergraduate requirement. during the thesis writing process, they often face obstacles that have an impact on the menstrual cycle. This study aims to determine the relationship between stress levels and menstrual cycle disorders. This study used cross sectional study, chi square analysis technique with ρ value <0.05. The results of the study were 44 (56.4%) respondents had mild stress levels, 34 (43.6%) respondents had moderate stress levels, 54 (69.2%) respondents had normal menstrual cycles, 24 (30.8%) respondents had abnormal menstrual cycles. The results of bivariate analysis showed a relationship between stress levels and menstrual cycle disorders in female students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Palangka Raya with chi square statistical test p-value = 0.046 (<0.05).
