Abstract

The increasing use of plastic causes an increase in plastic waste in the environment, especially waters. Plastic waste that enters the waters will then be degraded into polymers less than 5 mm called as microplastics.  The purpose of this study was to determine the content of microplastics in water and sediment and the relationship between microplastics in water and sediment in the Karang Mumus River in Samarinda City. Sampling was carried out at 3 stations in the Karang Mumus River then sample analysis was carried out at the Water Quality Laboratory of Mulawarman University. Based on the results of the research obtained, the types of microplastics found are fiber, fragments, films and microbeads. The most type of microplastic was found is film. The mean concentration of microplastic in the water was 3,04 particles/L and in the sediment was 1322,22 particles/Kg.

Abstract

Kata kunci : Efusi pleura, Spo2, purse lip breathing exercise ABSTRACTBackground: Pleural effusion is an abnormal accumulation of fluid in the pleural cavity. Under normal circumstances, small amounts of fluid are continuously produced and reabsorbed within this cavity to maintain lubrication and facilitate lung movement during breathing. Objective: To provide nursing care for pleural effusion patients in an effort to reduce shortness of breath and improve Spo2 and respiration using the purse lip breathing exercise technique in General Treatment Room 1 at An-nisa Hospital. The case study used 1 respondent with the criteria of a pleural effusion patient. Research Method: Female students implement nursing care for pleural effusion patients by providing purse lip breathing exercise therapy for 5-15 minutes with journal comparison. Results: The case study shows that giving purse lip breathing exercise relaxation techniques for 5-15 minutes can reduce or reduce tightness in pleural effusion patients. Conclusion: Purse lip breathing exercise relaxation therapy given to pleural effusion patients has been proven to reduce tightness and improve Spo2 and respiration. Key words: Pleural effusion, Spo2, purse lip breathing exercise
