Abstract

Mining has significant impacts on the environment and communities. Conflicts often arise between mining companies, governments and local communities over issues such as evictions, environmental damage and pollution. These conflicts can hinder sustainable development efforts. This research aims to review the literature on mining conflicts and sustainable development. This research uses the literature review method. The literature reviewed includes scientific articles, books, and research reports. The results of this study conclude that mining conflicts can hinder sustainable development by causing social instability, environmental damage and investment barriers. To address these conflicts, we recommend an approach that involves all stakeholders, emphasises good governance, responsible environmental management, empowerment of local communities, and effective dispute resolution mechanisms

Abstract

The construction industry contributes significantly to environmental degradation. Environmental impact assessment (EIA) is becoming an important instrument to minimise the negative impacts of construction projects. Certification and compliance with green building standards are increasingly important to promote sustainable development. The objectives of this study are to evaluate the effectiveness of EIA in minimising the environmental impact of construction projects and to assess the readiness of the construction industry in adopting green building certification and compliance. This research is a type of literature review research related to EIA, green building regulations, and construction project case studies. The results concluded that EIA is effective in identifying and minimising the environmental impacts of construction projects. However, there are several obstacles in its implementation, such as the lack of experts and weak law enforcement. Green building certification and compliance are still not widely adopted by the construction industry in Indonesia. Furthermore, to strengthen the implementation of EIA and improve the readiness of the construction industry in adopting green building certification and compliance. This can be achieved through education, training, and incentives for developers and contractors.

Abstract

Geotechnical engineering plays an important role in the development of safe and sustainable infrastructure. New technological developments continue to open up opportunities to improve geotechnical practices and answer increasingly complex challenges. This research aims to Research and analyze new emerging technologies in geotechnical engineering, as well as evaluate their potential to improve geotechnical practices and solutions. This research uses a comprehensive literature review and critical analysis of scientific literature, industry publications, and case studies related to new geotechnical technologies. The results of this study conclude that new emerging technologies in geotechnical engineering have great potential to improve geotechnical practices and solutions. The application of these technologies can help improve the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of geotechnical projects

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas implementasi manajemen konflik di tempat kerja dengan fokus pada solusi konstruktif untuk membangun tim yang harmonis. Melalui analisis mendalam terhadap latar belakang konflik di lingkungan kerja, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi strategi penyelesaian yang efektif dan dampaknya terhadap kesehatan organisasi. Metode penelitian kualitatif digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dari berbagai sumber, termasuk wawancara, observasi, dan tinjauan literatur. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep konflik dan penerapan teknik penyelesaian yang sesuai merupakan kunci dalam menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang seimbang. Pelatihan keterampilan komunikasi, pengembangan budaya inklusif, dan mendorong partisipasi aktif dalam penyelesaian konflik diidentifikasi sebagai solusi konstruktif yang efektif. Evaluasi dan pengukuran keberhasilan implementasi manajemen konflik menjadi aspek krusial dalam memastikan dampak positif. Penggunaan metode seperti penilaian kinerja tim, survei kepuasan anggota tim, dan evaluasi 360 derajat memberikan pemahaman yang holistik tentang pencapaian dan potensi perbaikan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pemahaman praktik manajemen konflik yang efektif dan berkelanjutan di lingkungan kerja. Dengan mengimplementasikan solusi konstruktif, organisasi dapat membentuk tim yang tidak hanya produktif tetapi juga harmonis, menciptakan dampak positif pada produktivitas dan kesejahteraan organisasi secara keseluruhan. Implikasi penelitian ini mencakup rekomendasi untuk pengembangan program pelatihan dan strategi manajemen konflik yang dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam praktik kerja sehari-hari.
