Abstract

The nursing ethics were value and principles trusted by the nursing profession in carring out their duties related to the patient with society, the relationship between nurses and mates included the organization of the profession, as well as the regulation of nursing practice it self. The nurse perception to the ethical principles was able to influence the behavior of a nurse in making decision of nursing action. The aim of this observation is to explore the nurse perception to the ethichal principlesin implementation nursing action at Intensive Care Unit level II Putri Hijau Hospital Medan, this observation was done to nurse with four respondents.  The method of phenomenological qualitative. The sample with purposive sampling. Data was collected nursing indepth interview and then recorded by tape recorder. The results of observation reflected from six themes appearing which were agreed in doing treatment. Patient or patient’s family have right to refuse the treatment by giving sign of non-consent letter, to appreciate the patient and the family using traditional ways, tot the useful, and avoiding the dangerous thing to the patient. Religion teaches good deeds, never different patients,  and to take early treatment in accordance with the cases priority, give complete information.The conclusion of this observation was glance perception of nurses in implementing the nursing treatment. Key words: The Nursing’s perception, Ethichal principles, Nursing action

Abstract

Emergency conditions can occur anywhere, anytime and it is the duty of health workers to handle the problem. Death occurs usually because of the inability of health workers to deal with patients in the golden period. This effort must begin by correctly identifying the condition of the accident patient.This study aims to determine the effect of using power point and Leafleat on the knowledge of class IX students at SMP Tunas Karya Batang Kuis. The type of this research is Quasi experiment two group pretest-posttest. The total population in this study was first class IX First Class Middle School students in accidents (Firs Aid) of 110 people. The results of the research carried out statistically showed that power point and leafleat media influenced the increase in knowledge of class IX students on first aid (P3K). It is recommended for students to increase knowledge about first aid in accidents (Firs Aid) in helping victims who need emergency assistance immediately and are ready to use in urgent situations. To the leadership of the Foundation to take wisdom in health education, to increase the knowledge of students to hold first aid training on accidents (Firs Aid) and form the Youth Red Cross.

Abstract

Emergency nursing care is a nursing process in managing patients or patients to get independent and multidisciplinary care (collaborative) so that the expected outcome criteria can be achieved. The learning process involves complex activities, not just the transfer of knowledge from educators to students textually. In each learning process, efforts must be made to be able to deliver students to the proposed competency, including the underlying values and attitudes. The design of this study is a correlation , The sampling technique is to use the Slovin formula, namely the number of samples taken from affordable populations in this study. The results of the research conducted statistically showed that the Students of Nursing Academy of Kesdam I/BB Medan knew that there were 30 female students (46.9%) in the simulation category. Student of Nursing Academy in Medan I/BB Medan know about the adequate method of demonstration learning method as many as 34 students (53.1%). Students of Nursing Academy of Kesdam I/BB Medan about the learning outcomes of emergency nursing care from the category C value of 35 female students (54.7%). It is expected that the Medan I/BB Middle School Nursing Academy will maintain and further improve laboratory facilities and infrastructure to support the achievement of female students in midwifery care at the Nursing Academy of Kesdam I/BB.

Abstract

Body image is a crucial factor in the formation of individual identity. Increasing body image on an individual requires an intervention which can change thoughts, feelings and attitudes affecting the behavior related to the whole body and its function. This systematic review evaluates the existed evidence to identify the effect of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) on body image. The literature review is conducted by selecting the corresponding articles which are published between 2011 and 2017. Various databases used are CINAHL, EBSCO, Proquest, Pubmed, Science Direct, and Semantic Scholar. The inclusion criteria are the articles publishing original data, being fully written in English, researching human as an object and exploring the cognitive behavioral therapy and body image. There are eight articles that showed the effect of cognitive behavioral therapy on body image including reducing body image concern, reducing bad stigma towards body image and irrational beliefs on body changing, increasing body area satisfaction, improving appearance evaluation and improving a positive body image. The application of cognitive behavioral therapy is essential and effective in improving body image. This study recommends health professionals, especially nurses, to apply cognitive behavioral therapy in patients with various diseases involving body image disturbance.
