Abstract

Kehidupan didalam penjara membuat para tahanan dihadapkan dengan berbagai macam masalah psikologis yang menyebabkan stres. Masalah ini harus ditangani karena akan berpengaruh bagi kehidupan tahanan setelah keluar dari penjara. Studi ini memiliki tujuan guna mengkaji hubungan antara koping stres dengan psychological well being tahanan pria di Polres Probolinggo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode analitik koleratif melalui pendekatan cross sectional, dengan tujuannya guna mengungkapkan hubungan korelatif antar variabel. Data di analisis menggunakan SPSS for Windows dengan uji Spearman Rank. Tingkat psychological well being tahanan pria di Polres Probolinggo sedang sebanyak 2 orang (10%), dan tingkat psychological well-being rendah sebanyak 18 orang (90%). Tingkat stres tahanan pria di Polres Probolinggo sedang sebanyak 3 orang (15%) dan koping stres rendah sebanyak 17 orang (85%). Koping stress cenderung kearah emotion focused coping. Hasil studi ini menunjukan ada korelasi signifikan antara koping stres dengan psychological well being tahanan pria di Polres Probolinggo yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai rxy sebesar 0,225 dan nilai sig 0,017 < 0,05. Dari penelitian ini diharapkan responden penelitian mampu belajar menggunakan strategi koping guna mengoptimalkan psychological well being.

Abstract

Fine motor development is a movement that only involves small muscles in the body, such as skills in using fingers and wrist movements. Delays in fine motor development are caused by the lack of opportunities for children to play, the stimulation that children receive is good by parents. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of playing collage and plasticine therapy on fine motor development in children 4-5 years old at Zainul Hasan Genggong Kindergarten, ProbolinggoThis type of research is pre-experimental with a two group pretest-posttest research design. The population was 46 respondents who met the inclusion requirements of the study were selected using a total sampling technique. Children's fine motor development was measured using an observation sheet, and information was gathered using editing, coding, scoring, and tabulating procedures. In both groups, the data were evaluated using the Wilcoxon test hypothesis.The results showed that the value of ρ Value α = 0.000 in the collage playing group and the value of ρ Value α = 0000 in the plasticine playing group. The significant level of ρ Value < α 0.05, it is stated that both therapies are effective in developing children's fine motor development. However, judging by the results of the observation, the post-test value of playing plasticine therapy was more with the results of the BSB category being 20 children. Due to the age characteristics in group 2, there were more 4 years of age at that age, children's fine motor development was more rapid.Collage and plasticine games are a series of therapies to develop fine motor development in children. For further researchers, it is recommended to add variety of images in collage play therapy, to approach children more when given play therapy.

Abstract

Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (HIV/AIDS) can attack the human immune system. HIV/AIDS patients experience symptoms both physically, psychologically, socially. This condition is related to the occurrence of self-concept of HIV/AIDS patients who have a negative view of themselves. HIV/AIDS patients have difficulty managing themselves because they lose hope so that it can affect their psychological well-being. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between self-concept and psychological well-being in HIV/AIDS patients This research method uses correlational analytic with cross sectional approach. The population was 50 respondents and the research sample was 50 respondents HIV/AIDS patients at the Cahaya Prolink Institute, Probolinggo regency using total sampling. The research instrument used a Robson Self Concept Questionnaire to measure self-concept, Riff Psychological well Being to measure psychological well-being, both questionnaires have been tested for validity and reliability. Then analyzed using the Spearman Rank test. The results of this study showed that 26 respondents (52.0%) or the majority of HIV/AIDS patients had low self-concept, and 25 respondents (50.0%) of HIV/AIDS patients had low psychological well-being. Based on the results of the Spearman Rank statistical test, it can be said that there is a correlation between self-concept and psychological well-being, pvalue=0.001 with a significant level of 0.05 (p≤0.05). HIV/AIDS patients experience low self-concept problems such as feeling humiliated, worried, having no purpose in life. HIV/AIDS patients experience low psychological well-being such as feeling no future, down, frustrated, worried, disappointed. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between self-concept and psychological well-being in HIV/AIDS patients. It is hoped that HIV/AIDS patients have a good picture so that they can accept themselves, have hope to continue life.

Abstract

Elderly (elderly) is someone who has entered the final stages of the phase of life. This cycle can be seen from the symptoms of physical, psychological, and psychosocial changes. These changes will result anxiety. Anxiety is a feeling of fear that is not clear or even has no known cause. Knitting therapy is one method of lowering anxiety. The goal of this study was to examine how knitting therapy affected older people's anxiety levels. This research method uses a Pre-Experimental approach with aone group pre-post test.The population is 33 respondents and uses a simple random sampling technique. The research sample is 30 respondents. The instrument used is an anxiety questionnaire sheet withHamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) Indonesian version, then the data is collected through a process Editing, Coding, Scoring,andTabulating. The data obtained were analyzed using the testpaired T-Test. The results showed the average value of anxiety before knitting therapy was 16.63 while after knitting therapy the average value of anxiety was 6.50. The results of the data analysis test showed that there was an effect of knitting therapy on reducing anxiety in the elderly with -valeu = 0.000 <α = 0.05. Knitting therapy can be used to improve focus, and develop patience. knitting activities can train the left and right brain when doing the same movement, besides sitting quietly and focusing on knitting can reduce heart rate and blood pressure, so we feel relaxed and calm, this situation acts as a pain reliever. This also makes the feeling happy so that it can provide positive energy in a person, this is what makes the mood happy so that feelings of anxiety decrease easily. It is hoped that knitting therapy can be applied to fill the spare time of the elderly and future researchers canmake modifications to the therapeutic media that will be used, one of which can be equipped with making video media.

Abstract

Community service activities in the Maron Community Health Center Work Area, Probolinggo Regency, were carried out using an educational model approach and the formation of an Association for Diabetes Mellitus Sufferers (PAGUDEM). This activity aims to provide a better understanding to Diabetes Mellitus sufferers and the general public about how to overcome problems related to Diabetes Mellitus, carry out early detection, and control disability and the increase in Diabetes Mellitus sufferers. The findings of this activity are consistent with previous research which shows the effectiveness of the community model approach and diabetes education in preventing disability due to diabetes mellitus. Apart from that, this activity also has a positive impact on health, social, economic, as well as cultural and environmental aspects. Changes in people's attitudes and behavior regarding Diabetes Mellitus are also visible, where they become more aware of the importance of preventing and managing this disease, and are more proactive in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Thus, this service activity not only provides direct benefits for Diabetes Mellitus sufferers but has also brought positive changes in the way people think and act regarding this condition.
