Abstract

The birth of a child causes a fundamental challenge to the existing structure of family interaction regarding the care of the newborn. When a baby is first born, the mother may feel confused about how to care for him. Even routine tasks such as changing diapers and bathing can make a mother anxious, especially if she has never spent time on things related to baby care before. To develop independent personal abilities requires self-confidence and a sense of calm as an experienced parent for first-time mothers (primiparous). The research objective to be achieved is to analyze the factors that influence the independence of primiparous mothers in caring for babies at PMB Devi Andriani, Lhokseumawe City. This type of research uses a descriptive analytical survey with a cross sectional design. The population in this study was 56 people, while the sample was 56 Primipara mothers, using total sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. Based on the results of the chi-square test, it is known that the independence of primiparous mothers is related to maternal knowledge p = 0.000, culture = 0.002, trust p = 0.001, maternal age p = 0.001, family support p = 0.003, meaning there is a relationship between maternal knowledge, culture and trust. Maternal age, and family support with the independence of primiparous mothers. From the results of the multivariate analysis, it is known that the variable that has the most dominant influence in this study is the Mother's Knowledge variable with an OR value of 21,483. There is the influence of maternal knowledge, culture, beliefs, maternal age and family support and the most influential variable is maternal knowledge. The suggestion is that it is hoped that this research can be used as reference material for hospitals, especially to increase the competency of midwives so that they can maximize mothers' knowledge during postpartum visits so that they can independently care for their babies in the future.

Abstract

COVID-19 vaccination for pregnant women can prevent the risk of exposure to COVID-19, but there are still concerns for pregnant women regarding the contents, side effects and impact of vaccination. So it has a low impact on pregnant women's acceptance of Covid-19 vaccination. The aim of this research is to analyze the factors that influence pregnant women towards COVID-19 vaccination at the Padang Tikar Community Health Center 2022. The research design used is a mixed method, using an analytical observational approach with a purposive sampling technique, with a quantitative sample of 30 respondents and 5 qualitative informants. Data analysis is univariate, bivariate and multivariate. The research results show that the most dominant variable is attitude with a value of OR = 10.482 (95% CI OR 1.364-80.535) meaning that pregnant women who have a less supportive attitude are more at risk of not getting the Covid-19 vaccination, namely 10.482 times more than pregnant women who have supportive attitude towards Covid-19 vaccination. In conclusion, it is hoped that health workers will educate about Covid-19 vaccination by providing support so as to increase the positive attitude of pregnant women.

Abstract

Various efforts have been made by the government to achieve the target of reducing maternal and infant mortality rates in Indonesia, but these efforts have not provided maximum results. MMR and IMR are still far from the expectations achieved, this is influenced and driven by various medical and non-medical factors such as lack of support from husbands and families, customs that are still strongly embedded in society and gender factors that still dominate, one of the breakthrough efforts made by the Jeumpa Health Center is the "Kamoe Sajan Gata" innovation, namely accompanying and providing care to high-risk pregnant women from pregnancy to the end of the postpartum period by actively involving cross-sectors as policy makers. Objective to determine the performance of the implementation of the "Kamoe Sajan Gata" innovation on reducing maternal mortality rates in the Jeumpa Health Center work area, Bireuen Regency. This type of research is qualitative with a phenomenology study design. The population of this study were high-risk pregnant women in the Jeumpa Health Center area and across sectors. Research informants 17 people from the elements of the Acting Health Office, Head of Health Center, cross-sector, pregnant women and village midwives, The informant selection technique is purposive sampling. Review of aspects of standards, targets and objectives of the Innovation program policy has been carried out quite well, review of aspects of human resources is not yet fully available, review of aspects of implementer characteristics, review of aspects of communication between implementers and review of aspects of implementer attitudes are very good, and review of environmental aspects, support from all parties is very good while economic support is still very lacking. The performance of the implementation of the Innovation program policy "Kamoe Sajan Gata" has a great influence on efforts to reduce MMR and IMR.

Abstract

This study investigates the factors affecting Tetanus Toxoid (TT) immunization among brides-to-be in Aceh, using a mixed-method approach. Tetanus, a potentially fatal bacterial infection, poses a significant risk, particularly to maternal and neonatal health. Despite government mandates for TT immunization, uptake remains inconsistent. Quantitative data from structured questionnaires assessed respondents' knowledge, attitudes, and healthcare provider support. The qualitative component used in-depth interviews with brides-to-be, healthcare providers, and community leaders to explore contextual factors impacting TT immunization. Results showed that 92.9% of respondents were aged 20-35, indicating the importance of targeting this demographic. While 57.1% held college degrees or higher, a high unemployment rate (35.7%) suggested potential barriers to healthcare access. Misinformation, societal resistance, and religious concerns emerged as key challenges, with misconceptions about vaccine safety contributing to vaccine hesitancy. Recommendations for improving TT immunization uptake include targeted education campaigns, addressing religious and cultural concerns, and simplifying the immunization process. By implementing these strategies, public health authorities can increase TT immunization rates, leading to better maternal and neonatal health outcomes in Aceh
