Abstract

This study investigates the influence of religious extracurricular activities on the moral behavior of high school students. In an era where moral education is increasingly recognized as essential, this research aims to explore how participation in religious activities outside the regular curriculum contributes to students' ethical development. The study employs a mixed-method approach, combining observational data with in-depth interviews and surveys to gauge the impact of these activities on students' behavior. Findings indicate that students actively engaged in religious extracurriculars demonstrate significant improvements in moral behavior, including increased honesty, respect, and empathy. The research identifies key factors that contribute to this positive change, such as the role of peer groups, the guidance of mentors, and the opportunities for students to practice ethical decision-making in real-life situations. Moreover, the study highlights the importance of creating a supportive environment that encourages participation in these activities, thereby reinforcing the values taught in the classroom. The study concludes that religious extracurricular activities are a valuable component of moral education, significantly enhancing students' character development and their ability to navigate ethical challenges in their daily lives.
