Abstract

Adolescents have high curiosity and always want to try new things, which leads to the risk of smoking behavior. Several ways to overcome smoking behavior including the use of pictorial health warning labels about dangers of smoking. The aim of this research is to identify the effect of pictorial health warning labels on the packaging of tobacco with smoking intensity in adolescents. The design of this research was quasi experiment with non-equivalent control group. The research was conducted in SMPN 16 Pekanbaru with total sample of 34 respondents that were divided into 17 experimental group respondents and 17 control group respondents. The sampling technique used was proportionate stratified random sampling. Measuring instrument used was questionnaire sheets. The analysis used were univariate analysis and bivariate using dependent t test and independent t test analysis. The mean number of smoking intensity of experimental group before intervention was given 4,65 cigarettes and after intervention during 2 weeks the mean number decreased to 3,47 cigarettes. Statistical  test results showed significant decrease in smoking intensity with p value (0,000 < α (0,05)), which means pictorial health warning labels on the packaging of tobacco had effect on smoking intensity in adolescents. It is expected that this approach can be an alternative to lessen the smoking behavior in  adolescents. Keywords: Adolescents, labels, smoking intensity.

Abstract

One of the efforts to improve the health status of the community and the success of social health insurance program is the participation in BPJS’ Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis) which focusing on promotive and preventive health service. This study aimed to identify the description of BPJS ‘Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis) implementation in Siak Hulu III Community Health Center. The design of this study was descriptive. The samples were 30 respondents that were taken by saturated sampling technique. The measuring instrument was a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The data was analyzed by univariate analysis to identify the frequency distribution. The results of the study showed that the description of prolanis implementation who all of respondents chose the yes answer about 30 respondents (100,0%) for medical consultation program at the first question about the chance for consultation, the second question about disease explanation, and the third question about the health workers who listen the disease complain, while for home visit activities program at the first question about giving the self healthy education and the second question about the environment health education, and for club activities program at the first question about giving of club activities facility, and for monitoring health status activities program at the first question about giving a chance to re-control and the second questions about giving a chance to observation of disease. It is expected that the results of this study could be used to improve the implementation of Prolanis BPJS program. Keywords : Community health center, health of BPJS, Prolanis

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the relationship of family support with the duration of exclusive breastfeeding in Sidomulyo Public Health Center Pekanbaru. This research uses descriptive correlation design with the cross sectional approach. Respondents in the study were mothers who had infants aged 6-12 months as many as 97 people, that were taken using purposive sampling technique. The measuring tool used was questionnaire with 19 statements for family support variables and 2 statements for the duration of exclusive breastfeeding that has passed validity and reliable testing. Data analysis used was univariate & bivariate analysis using the chi-square test. The results showed that most respondents gave positive family support (50.5%) and the duration of exclusive breastfeeding <6 months (66.0%). Mothers with exclusive breastfeeding duration for 6 months were mothers with positive family support (55.1%). The relationship between family support and mother duration gave exclusive breastfeeding was significant, with p-value (0,000) <α (0,005) OR = 8,591. It is expected that health workers can enhance their active role by providing health education on the importance of exclusive breastfeeding and family to always support the mother to do exclusive breastfeeding.Keywords: Duration, exclusive breastfeeding, family support.
