Abstract

The selection of the right learning media is one of the factors so that students can easily understand the material being discussed. One of them is by using video learning media. Producing a video script design becomes the basis for consideration in the video-making process. The script is the main reference or a guide in conducting video production activities. The activity of producing a video without using a script is a waste of nothing. So, research was made to produce a stenography learning video using a script and without a script. This research was made using the R&D (Research & Development) research method which will then be analyzed the comparison of the results of the two videos using qualitative analysis with a comparative model. The results obtained showed that the use of texts influences the process of learning video production compared to the results obtained. So the production of stenography learning videos using scripts is more effective than without using scripts.

Abstract

Informasi tentang layanan KPKNL Batam perlu diketahui oleh masyarakat terutama pemangku kepentingan. Media informasi saat ini adalah brosur, buku profil, banner, situs dan media sosial. Namun, memiliki kekurangan terutama informasi tentang tugas, fungsi dan layanan KPKNL Batam seperti lelang dan penyewaan asset BMN. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah video company profile. Metode penelitian menggunakan R & D yaitu pembuatan video menggunakan pendekatan Luther-Sutopo dan analisis kelayakan sebagai media informasi berdasarkan kualitas video melalui aspek visual dan suara menggunakan skala Likert. Sementara analisis keefektifan video sebagai media informasi berdasarkan materi menggunakan pendekatan Quasi Experimental model Nonequivalent Group Design dengan pengolahan data uji-t. Hasil penelitian yaitu: (1)Video Company Profile berdurasi 3 menit 50 detik dalam format MP4, dapat dijalankan dalam berbagai perangkat serta dapat diakses secara online di media sosial KPKNL Batam; (2)Video memiliki kualitas yang baik berdasarkan pencapaian persentase 98,80%, sehingga layak memberikan informasi; (3)Video dinilai efektif sebagai media informasi berdasarkan aspek konten tentang layanan KPKNL Batam bagi pemangku kepentingan melalui hasil uji-t kelompok eksperimen dengan nilai Sig. sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 nilai probabilitas; (4)Produksi video dapat dipengaruhi oleh perangkat, sehingga direkomendasikan untuk mengemas informasi dan layanan yang lebih spesifik dan rinci di KPKNL Batam.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic outbreak has caused difficulties for the community, for example official trips, tours, shopping, watching films and others, which in turn caused the general economy to decline. This is what makes lecturers, workers and students in the multimedia field take the initiative to make or develop multimedia products that have educational value to the public about the prevention of the Corona virus. One of the places that is the central point of the spread of the Corona virus is the market because the market is a meeting place for people who have an interest in buying and selling if one person is infected with Corona, the virus can spread to the community around the market. Therefore, the product we have developed is a multimedia product that contains educational materials for Corona virus prevention on the market. These products are community services and educational games, comic posters, motion graphics, video advertisements. The results of internal testing to students and external testing to communities related to traders show that comic media is best used in spreading service messages to the community.

Abstract

Opening Bumper is a short animation opening video in a program that describes the identity of an event or agency. One of the TV programs was "Bincang Santai" which airs on the local television station, iNews Batam. However, the opening bumper of the “Bincang Santai” program has been showing for more than 4 years, which doesn’t represent the identity of the current “Bincang Santai” program. Therefore, a new opening bumper was made in motion graphic form. In making the opening bumper, the Sherwood-Rout method was used. Furthermore, analysis of the feasibility as an opening bumper and the perception of the public through the EPIC Model approach. The results of the research are: (1) The resulting opening bumper has a duration of 18 seconds in .mpg format. The opening bumper contains a brief snippet of the “Bincang Santai” TV program with various motion graphic elements; (2) Opening bumper as the “Bincang Santai” opening bumper is considered feasible based on indicators: typography, color, visual effects, objects, and music, which reaches a score of 4.22; (3) The opening bumper is considered effective in conveying the identity of the “Bincang Santai” TV program in brief, based on the average EPIC dimension achievement of 4.59.

Abstract

Animated films are one of the entertainment media displayed by electronic devices such as televisions, computers, and smartphones. Animated films can also be used as a good learning medium to convey moral messages that can be addressed to all people from children to adults. In making animated films, it is necessary to write a script as the basic concept of making animated films. Script writing is the process of writing a story into a film scenario that contains story ideas, premise, plot, audio, storyline which are important in making animated films. The manuscript uses the 3-Act-Structure theory and was made using the Celtx application, then the feasibility of its production was analyzed. The animated film scripts produced are scripts and storyboards. The results of manuscript analysis based on 3-Act-Structure reached 80%, meaning that it met the criteria very well so it was feasible to be produced.

Abstract

Apprentices at Batam TV are required to understand the production process at Batam TV, such as the production process for the Detak Kepri Malam, and other programs. The presentation of the material is delivered through presentations using the PowerPoint application and presented by the presenter. The level of visits is very high, taking up Batam TV's time for presentations. The solution offered is the presentation of material in the form of motion graphics. The research method uses RnD, namely making presentation material products in the form of motion graphics using the Villamil-Molina method, then analyzing the application of motion graphic aspects and presentation material aspects using Quasi Experiment Nonequivalent Control Group Design through a Paired sample T-test. The results showed that the media presentation to explain the production process of Detak Kepri Malam in video form was considered effective. The video lasts 2 minutes 30 seconds and is in Mp4 format and is displayed using a prompter in the Batam TV broadcast studio so it doesn't depend on the presenter of the material, and is easy to access via the Batam TV YouTube channel.

Abstract

Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the role of technology has increased, especially in the dissemination of information, educational media, and activities in other forms of digitalization. Along with this, public services also need to be continuously improved. One of the government services of the Batam City Regional Revenue Agency related to the PBB payment method at the Batam City BAPENDA office still needs to be improved, especially for problems in payments. One of the digital media that can be used for this problem is educational media for the public in the form of motion graphics. The development of educational media applies the ADDIE model. The results showed that there was an increase in public knowledge of PBB payments by 28%. Assessment based on perception, learning and product performance, obtained 98.88%, which means the product can be used as an educational medium for PBB payment procedures, especially at the BAPENDA office in Batam.
