Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the accessibility capabilities of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)and the cooperative of Microfinance Institutions (MFIs), based on the development aspects of the credit amount received or disbursed to SMEs and Cooperatives and SMEs and Cooperatives the ability to repay (Capacity Building). Then find accessibility SMEs to MFIs, if measured in terms of sustainability (sustainable) of MFIs in providing financial services. Based on the amount of the loan, the ability of accessibility for SMEs and Cooperatives Fund Program of Integrated economy in Tarakan City declining trend pattern every year. Based on the loan amount, it turns out the perpetrators ability accesibility for SMEs and Cooperatives MFI-patterned PEMP City also declined, and predicted it would end the program (unsustainable) in the year 2011 due to run out of capital due to bad credit problems (aspects of the character and capacity building). Different Results shown by BMT Al-Fath that base on the amount of the loan, turns out the perpetrators ability accesibility for SMEs and Cooperatives BMT Al-Fath Tarakan increased. Key Words: Access to Credit, Small and Medium Enterprises, Micro Finance

Abstract

Abstract. In this study, the relationships between ownership concentration and operational efficiency and firm value are examined.  Companies are ranked following the Environmental Performance (PROPER) and listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange as the sample in this study.  Data analysis techniques in this study using PLS-SEM with WarpPLS application version 6.0. The findings indicate that ownership concentration has a positive effect on operational efficiency and firm value.  The main findings indicate that operational efficiency mediates the effect of concentrated ownership on firm value.  The overall findings support agency theory and RBV theory.  Monitoring ownership concentration that directs managers to maximize operational efficiency can be a competitive advantage and value the higher value of the company. Dalam penelitian ini, hubungan antara kepemilikan terkonsentrasi, efisiensi operasional dan nilai perusahaan diuji.  Perusahaan-perusahaan yang mengikuti program peringkat Kinerja Lingkungan (PROPER) dan terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia sebagai sampel dalam penelitian ini. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan PLS-SEM dengan aplikasi WarpPLS versi 6.0. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kepemilikan terkonsentrasi memiliki efek positif pada efisiensi operasional dan nilai perusahaan. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa efisiensi operasional memediasi pengaruh kepemilikan terkonsentrasi pada nilai perusahaan. Temuan keseluruhan mendukung teori agensi dan teori RBV.  Monitoring kepemilikan terkonsentrasi yang mengarahkan manajer untuk memaksimalkan efisiensi operasional dapat menjadi keunggulan kompetitif dan memberikan valuasi nilai perusahaan yang lebih tinggi.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced the world to experience a global economic crisis.   Economic decline has greatly harmed the business, including Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Small and Medium Enterprises must be able to take strategic steps to maintain their business. The current research is aimed to conduct empirical test on the effect of responsive digital marketing, customer relationship management, and working capital efficiency on SMEs' efforts to maintain performance during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research sample was 57 respondents who represent SMEs of Processed Food. The data analysis technique used SEM-PLS.  Result of research has shown that responsive digital marketing has been proved as helpful to SMEs in maintaining their sale performance during covid-19 pandemic. Besides this result, other finding has shown that main key to maintain customers and sale performance in sustainable manner during covid-19 pandemic is by improving customer satisfaction and building long term relationship with customers. Other finding has indicated that aggressive working capital management will facilitate SMEs to maintain their performance during covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

One important contribution of Small-and-Medium Enterprises (or SMEs) to the economic development is the absorption of workers. Absorbing more workers and reducing unemployment are achievable only if SMEs have been success in managing the sustainability of their business. The success of SMEs’ business is determined by few variables, which are to be examined in this research. Therefore, research is aimed to conduct empirical test over the effect of entrepreneur characteristic and financial literacy on business performance. Type of data is primary, which is acquired through distribution of questionnaire to respondents. Research sample includes Small-and-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Tarakan City. Analysis technique is Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). Result of research showed that personal characteristic, psychological characteristic, entrepreneur competency, and financial literacy are determinants to SMEs’ performance. Theoretical implication of this research is that research findings are supporting upper echelon theory and RBV theory when both theories explain factors that determine performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine empirically the effect of financial literacy on business performance. All variables in this study are latent variables that are measured using several indicators. Primary data is derived from the distribution of questionnaires to respondents. The SMEs in the city of Tarakan were sampled in this study. The research method uses the Regression analysis tool using the SPSS application. The results of the study show that financial literacy variables determine the performance of SMEs. The theoretical implications of this study support the RBV theory which explains that the ability to obtain a sustainable competitive advantage is a determining factor for performance. The practical implications of this study suggest that entrepreneurs must be able to understand and improve financial literacy skills to achieve good business performance. Keywords—Financial Literacy, Business Performance, SMEs, Entrepreneurship Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji secara empiris pengaruh literasi keuangan terhadap kinerja usaha. Seluruh variabel dalam penelitian ini merupakan variabel laten yang diukur dengan menggunakan beberapa indikator. Data bersifat primer yang bersumber dari penyebaran kuesioner pada responden. UKM di kota Tarakan menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini. Metode analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel literasi keuangan menjadi penentu kinerja UKM. Implikasi teoritis penelitian ini mendukung teori RBV yang menjelaskan bahwa kemampuan memperoleh keunggulan kompetitif yang berkelanjutan adalah faktor penentu kinerja. Implikasi praktis penelitian ini menyarankan bahwa seseorang entrepreneur harus dapat memahami dan meningkatkan kemampuan literasi keuangan untuk mencapai kinerja usaha yang baik. Abstract

The community service plan (PKM) in this article aims to inform the community about the use of marine resources in the coastal area of Tarakan to increase economic value, The target to be achieved in this program is for the target group to be able to optimize the results of marine resources, especially the use of wasted fish to boost their economy. This activity is carried out through lectures and discussions with partners or community groups who want to market their products, by providing understanding and training in efforts to commercialize competitive products, and of course through information technology so that they can add value for their income. This kind of discarded fish processing business or business is carried out by partners who want to help their household finances. Wastaged fish processed products that have been produced by partners in the PKM grant are further proposed. There are several problems faced, especially in the commercialization and marketing process. The next problem faced by partners is how to make marketing and commercialization media to be able market their products and can be known by all levels of society. The method used in this event is: First, give guidance through brainstorming to open up the mindset about the importance of marketing media and commercialization in order to be able to market their products. The second is consulting on management and commercialization or marketing processes as a determinant of the success of the waste fish processing business in terms of production and management. The output of this activity includes: 1). Aspects of commercialization, namely increasing product marketing so as to increase added value, as well as the use of information technology media. 2). The management aspect is the management of the sustainable management system, that is, the marketing management that has a wide range of influence and is well-known to the public. As a result, partners can understand the benefits, commercialization and effective marketing. In addition, partners can also understand the importance of using information technology to market their products.

Abstract

Dividend policy becomes very important especially with the presence of gender diversity on the company's board. This study aims to empirically examine the role of women's gender on the board of commissioners and the board of directors in determining dividend policy. The research sample uses companies that pay cash dividends listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2015-2019 period. Data analysis using SEM-PLS method with WarpPLS 8.0 application. The results showed that the gender diversity of the board of commissioners had a negative effect on dividend policy. The results of the analysis show that the negative effect of the gender diversity of the board of commissioners on dividend policy is non-linear which has a U-curve pattern. Meanwhile, the gender diversity of the board of directors has a positive effect on dividend policy. In general, the research results are in line with the agency theory which uses an increase in dividend payments to reduce the occurrence of agency problems.

Abstract

Gender diversity in the corporate boards can determine dividend policy. The objective of this research is to conduct empirical test over the effect of gender diversity in commissioner and director boards on dividend policy with institutional ownership as moderation variable. Research sample is the companies listed at Indonesia Stock Exchange on period 2018-2022 and paying cash dividend. Data analysis is done using SEM-PLS with computer application of WarpPLS 8.0. The result of research shows that the positive effect of diversity gender in commissioner board on dividend policy is determined by institutional ownership. Gender diversity in director board has positive effect on dividend policy without moderation of institutional ownership. In general, these results are consistent to the agency theory that states that dividend payout can reduce agency problem.
