Abstract

This article provides a description of the implementation of problem-based learning of fiqih with musyawarah activities at Pondok Pesantren Al-Anwar Sarang Rembang Central Java. The problem of this article focuses on two problems, how the implementation of problem-based learning of fiqih bymusyawarah at Pondok Pesantren Al-Anwar and the advantages and disadvantages of problem-based-learning of fiqh with musyawarah activities. This paper is the result of qualitative research using case study method. Data collection used participant observation, interview, and documentation techniques. To determine the sample of data source as informant, this research uses purposive sampling and snowball sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis with phenomenology approach. The Analysis begins since the researcher goes to the place and it is done interactively and continuously until being completed. It can be concluded that the activities ofmusyawarah is a form of problem-based learning of fiqih in the style of pesantren. In terms of principles, characteristics, as well as learning stages in musyawarah activities have been in accordance with the concept of problem-based learning.

Abstract

This study is aimed at studying the book of Wadhaif al-Mutaallim written by KH. Zainal Abidin Munawwir by using Stylistics research approach. Stylistics is used to describe the elements of rhetoric in the book of Wadhaif al-Mutaallim, and its meaning effect. The method used is literature study in the form of semantic, thematic and descriptive analysis. Data is collected through text observation method known as simak methode. This study found that there were some rhetoric’s elements in the book of Wadhaif al-Mutaallim in the aspect of figure of speech, figure of tought, and imagery. The results also showed that the style of language had caused quite interesting interpretation of the educational tought contained in the book of Wadhaif al-Mutaallim.

Abstract

The collision of the country versus the syari’at of Islam come back after the reform era. Pancasila is often accused as a kafir product because it is contradiction with syari’at of Islam. Responding to the phenomenon, Pondok Pesantren Darul Falah Bangsri Jepara provides the students with insight of nationality based on the point of view of Islamic teachings. This research tries to describe the education of nationality insight using bayani approach conducted by PP. Darul Falah. This research is a qualitative research with case study approach. The data were collected using participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative descriptive analysis with three steps. They are reduction, presentation, and ending with verification. The data analysis is conducted continuously from the beginning to the end of the research. The result of the research showed that the implementation of education of nationality insight using bayani approach is based on the emergence of propaganda that Pancasila is not in accordance with syari’at of Islam. Furthermore, there are three important elements of education of nationality insight using bayani approach. First, the teaching material is the text of the book Mitsaq al-Madinah or Pancasila book. Second, the method of learning uses bandongan, memorizing, and takraran. And third, the purpose of learning is understanding, memorizing, and attitude.

Abstract

Artikel ini mencoba menjelaskan tentang implementasi nilai-nilai pluralisme Abdurrahman Wahid atau Gus Dur untuk membangun kerukunan antar umat beragama. Mendiang Gus Dur sebagaimana diketahui merupakan salah satu tokoh pegiat pluralisme di Indonesia. Karena komitmen, kiprah, dan pemikirannya tentang pluralisme ia dijuluki sebagai Bapak pluralisme Indonesia. Bagi  Gus Dur, pluralisme adalah kunci utama untuk membangun masyarakat Indonesia yang plural. Pluralisme bukanlah upaya untuk menyamakan atau menyatukan agama-agama, tetapi mengakui kebenaran agama lain dengan diikuti peran aktif dalam mencapai tujuan bersama. Toleransi yang hanya  menekankan penerimaan atau pengakuan kebebasan aktifitas ibadah agama lain saja belum cukup kuat menjadi dasar membangun kerukunan. Toleransi masih cukup rawan dan riskan tersusupi provokasi dan propaganda yang memecah belah. Untuk membangun kerukunan, dibutuhkan niatan yang tulus untuk melakukan dialog dan komunikasi yang produktif lintas agama. Tidak cukup sampai di situ, dialog antaragama juga harus direalisasikan secara riil dalam bentuk kerjasama antar umat beragama untuk mencapai kerukunan yang kuat berbasis pluralitas.

Abstract

AbstractThere is an understanding that some of sufi orders to find h{aqi>qah through the sufi t{ari>qah no longer need the shari>’ah. Shari>’ah is seen as the outer skin of religion, and h{aqi>qah is the core. Because of getting the core of religion, the skin has no use anymore. This understanding is a rasionable understanding of the sufi mystics of the past that most no longer pay attention to the rules of shari>’ah in its suluk. Most sufis, at that time, preferred a more philosophical sufism which emphasize thinking to achive rather than the worship of god and morality. It can be seen from the popularity of the doctrine of wah{dat al-wuju>d which so dominates the teaching of classical sufism. This phenomenon invites the attention of Ahmad Sirhindi, on of sufi and mursyid of naqshabandi order. He moved to reform of the sufi orders who was then filled with heretical practices and doctrines which dominated wah{dat al-wuju>d. This study aims to discover and develop ideas of Sirhindi to reform the sufi orders. This research is a qualitative form of research library in using the instrument, so that the resulting data are in the form of data analysis, presentation and writing of the main source, namely al-Maktu>bat that’s magnum opus of Sirhindi. This study is descriptive-exploratory study. The data analysis technique used in this study was content analysis. The results of this study revealed that are some basic things are the focus sirhindi in revision, among others: first, the synchronization shari>’ah, t{ari>qah, and h}aqi>qah; second, purification sufi orders of deviant practices; third , rejection of the theory of wah{dat al-wuju>d; fourth, applying the theory wah{dat al-shuhu>d. Keywords: Sufism, Sufi orders, Reform, Sirhindi.

Abstract

The growth of radical religious and political thought developed in Indonesia and become a serious threat to the nation. It is marked by still a lot of data of radical action and terror in Indonesia. Treatment and prevention of the spread of radical requires active participation of all parties. In that case, the role of educational institutions is very significant to help stop the rate of radicalism. Therefore, this research is trying to find the design of Islamic education based on anti radicalism, as well as portrait of Islamic educational institutions that implement antiradicalism based education system. This research is included in this type of qualitative research. While in terms of methods, this study includes case studies. The case is the subject of study in this research is the implementation of Islamic education in boarding Amtsilati anti radicalism Bangsri Jepara. Educational anti radicalism is implemented with two models, namely classical and non classical. As a boarding school with salaf and modern system, PP. Darul Falah was quite serious in printing his santri into moderate Muslims. This is evidenced by the existence of learning that is focused on anti-radicalism materials that must be followed by santri.Keywords: education, anti radicalism, Amtsilati Boarding School.

Abstract

Abstract One of the competencies that became the main goals in the 2013 curriculum was critical thinking. All subjects, including Islamic Religious Education (PAI), should be able to deliver students to be able to think critically. However, critical thinking skills are not given much attention to PAI learning, especially Fiqh. Likewise, in the case of valuation, there are currently not many assessment instruments specifically developed to measure the ability to think in Fiqh learning. Therefore, this article intends to design a concept for assessing critical thinking skills by adopting the critical thinking test model developed by Watson and Glaser or commonly known as the Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal (WGCTA). Two problems will be discussed in this paper, namely, how about critical thinking in Fiqh learning, and how is the concept of Critical Thinking Ability Assessment in Fiqh learning with WGCTA. The result of this paper is a sample assessment of critical thinking skills in Fiqh learning based on five indicators in the WGCTA test, namely inference, recognition of assumptions, deduction, interpretation, and evaluation of argument.   Abstrak Salah satu kompetensi yang menjadi tujuan utama dalam kurikulum 2013 adalah berpikir kritis. Semua mata pelajaran, tak terkecuali PAI, hendaknya dapat mengantarkan peserta didik untuk mampu berpikir kritis. Meski demikian, kemampuan berpikir kritis tampaknya tidak banyak menjadi perhatian dalam pembelajaran PAI, khususnya fikih. Begitu pula, dalam hal penilaian, saat ini banyak instrumen penilaian yang secara khusus dikembangkan untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir dalam bidang fikih. Oleh karena itu, artikel ini bermaksud untuk merancang sebuah konsep penilaian kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan mengadopsi model tes critical thinking yang dikembangkan oleh Watson dan Glaser atau lazim disebut dengan Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal (WGCTA). Ada dua permasalahan yang akan dibahas dalam tulisan ini yakni, bagaimana kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran fikih, dan bagaimana penilaian kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran fikih dengan WGCTA. Hasil dari tulisan ini adalah sampel penilaian kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam fikih berdasarkan lima indikator dalam tes WGCTA yaitu penarikan kesimpulan, pengenalan asumsi, deduksi, interpretasi, dan evaluasi argumen.

Abstract

This article discusses the traditional Aswaja practices that implemented in Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Matholi'ul Huda Kedung Jepara as a means of preventing radicalism. There are two issues that will be discussed in this article, namely the forms of the Aswaja tradition that took place in MA Matholi'ul Huda Kedung Jepara and the habituation of the Aswaja tradition within the MA Matholi'ul Huda Jepara. This study was conducted using a qualitative approach with a case study method. The data in this study were collected using participatory observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The data were then analyzed descriptively qualitatively through three stages, namely presentation, reduction and verification. From the results of this analysis, it is known that the traditions that are accustomed to in MA Matholi'ul Huda Kedung Jepara are khatmil quran, tahlilan, istigtsah, pilgrimage to the grave, and tawassul. Khatmil Qur'an and Tahlilan habituated once a week. While Istighatsah, grave pilgrimage, and tawassul are carried out at the beginning of the school year, before the semester exams, and the National Examination. This traditional habituation is a form of learning so that students have a caring attitude towards tradition and respect for the scholars who have started the tradition. This attitude of caring and respect will in turn be both an antidote and an antidote to the "poison" of radicalism.

Abstract

Shi’ah as a minority sect in Islam tends to be perceived negatively by majority group. However, sign of enmity between Sunnis and Shiites are never seen in Jepara. As one of the territory in Indonesia, Jepara is different from other areas that have been attacked by conflicts such as Sampang, Bangil, or Pekalongan.  Sunni-Syhiites harmony in Jepara is certaintly not separated from the important role of da'wah and Islamic education conducted by Darut Taqrib Islamic Boarding School, Krapyak Jepara. This research intends to deepen the multicultural education practices conducted by the minority of Shiites in Jepara by taking the background in Shiites Boarding School Darut Taqrib. As the only institution of Shiite boarding school, Darut Taqrib always instills tolerance and multicultural values. Research data collection uses qualitative descriptive method with case study approach. The researcher attempt to collect data on the content of multicultural education, take the meaning, and understand it. The result of data analysis indicates that the existing multicultural education practice in Darut Taqrib are three kinds, open forum of  tabayyun, harmonization of inclusive social interaction, and fostering of nationalism spirit among students.
