Abstract

Abstract

B3 waste generated by PT. Purna Baja Harsco in one day in the form of used Majun 19.19 liters, used batteries 1.11 liters and used oil 6.02 liters. The purpose of this study was to determine the types and characteristics of B3 waste generated from maintenance and repair activities at the PT Purna Baja Harsco workshop, to identify and evaluate B3 waste management at the PT Purna Baja Harsco workshop, and to redesign the B3 waste TPS in accordance with applicable regulations. The research method for the design of the B3 waste TPS design begins with collecting data on the types and characteristics of B3 waste, the weight and volume of B3 waste, packaging planning, and calculating the area of the Planning TPS. The results showed that on average in one day it can produce 19.19 liters of used waste, 1.11 liters of used batteries and 6.02 liters of used oil. In storage, there are still several things that are not in accordance with applicable regulations, for the latest B3 waste TPS considering aspects of capacity, location, and facilities in the form of reservoirs, ventilation, lighting, roof construction, extinguishers and means of transportation. The 3 waste TPS is planned to be able to store 2,047 liters of used cotton with a shelf life of 90 days, 511 liters (24 units) of used batteries with a shelf life of 180 days and 2,880 liters of used oil with a shelf life of 365 days.

Abstract

PT Lotte Chemical Titan Nusantara (PT LCTN) is a Korean Foreign Investment Company in Cilegon City which is a polythylene producing industry. PT LCTN produces waste water into the sea. Wastewater treatment refers to the Decree of the Minister of Environment Number 22 of 2011 on the Permit for Disposal of Wastewater into the Sea of PT Titan Petrokimia Nusantara. Thepurpose of the research is to identify the problem and the improvement step in wastewater treatment. The effectiveness of wastewater treatment  erformance at ETU (Effluent Treatment Unit) in 2015, especially on test parameters such as Total Dissolved Solid, TSS (Total Suspended Solid), Nitrate, Nitrite, BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) and COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand). Statistical analysis SPSS Version 22 shows the average value of inlet and outlet there is a difference because the value of trithmetic is smaller than t table. In other words can give a significant influence on theinlet and outlet. Percentage effectiveness of TDS reach 33,33%, TSS reach 91,67%, nitrate reach 25% while for nitrite reach 83,33%.

Abstract

Determining the source of raw water at a Regional Drinking Water Company is the first step in determining the location or place to fulfill raw water for clean water treatment purposes. One alternative that can be used as a source of raw water is river water. The purpose of this study is for initial analysis of a water source to be used as an alternative source of raw water for clean water treatment. In determining the selection of source water, there are 3 parameters that must be met for a water source, namely: Quantity, Continuity, and Quality. This research uses a quantitative analysis method in the form of field data measurements of population and population growth projections in the distribution area, by analyzing the quality test of the Cibanten River. Based on the results of data processing, the total average clean water needs of Serang District and Kasemen District is 697.06 liters/second, the water discharge capacity of the Cibanten River in 2020 has an average of 3,690 liters/second so that the Cibanten river discharge is suitable as a source of raw water. for the quantity and continuity parameters. For testing the water quality of the Cibanten River with parameters BOD, COD, TSS, TDS and pH, the value of the content of TDS and pH meets the environmental quality standards, for the values of TSS, TDS and BOD the results exceed the environmental quality standards. It needs to be treated first before being used as clean water and drinking water.

Abstract

The pace of development, population, activities, and socioeconomic level of the community trigger an increase in the amount of waste generation that will be transported to landfills. The more human growth increases, the more waste generation will increase. Therefore, it is necessary to plan a Temporary Shelter (TPS) and waste transportation system in Pabuaran District, Serang Regency with the aim of reducing the negative impact of garbage accumulation and changing the behavior of people in Pabuaran District who still throw garbage in any place and to reduce the impact caused by the waste itself. The purpose of this study is to determine the rate and composition of waste and design a TPS that meets the criteria. Data that has been obtained from primary data sources and secondary data will be processed and analyzed. Data analysis is used as a determination and planning of waste TPS that will be applied in Pabuaran District. The results showed that the rate of waste generation every yearalways increases along with the increase in the number of residents. In 2021 the amount of waste generation in Pabuaran District was 26 m3 / day. Then in 2022 the amount of waste generation reached 27.24 m3 / day or 326.86 m3 / year and in 2031 it increased to 41.89 m3 / day or 502.73 m3 / year. year. So, the total land needs are based on the assessment of the units of space needed for the TPS building land in Pabuaran District covering an area of 99 m2.
