Abstract

Economic empowerment is an effort to improve society's ability to fulfill their needs and have well-being, it can influence the improvement of national defense. The research purpose is analyzing the actual conditions and factors affecting the implementation of economic empowerment in South Tangerang city. This research used qualitative descriptive method. Collected data through observation, interviews and focus group discussions. All data have been obtained processed with data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Results showed that the economic empowerment in South Tangerang City, conducted by the city government and stekholder (Office, Business Associations, Banks, Universities and Private Entrepreneurs) although not yet collaborate to achieve expected results

Abstract

In river crossing operations using amphibious vehicles, the landing process is a critical point for the success of the operation. This study aims to obtain an overview of the potential failure of amphibious vehicles during landing due to the stability factor of the slope / slope caused by topographic conditions in the form of steep bank slopes and geological conditions in the form of poor soil bearing capacity. This study begins with observations on one of the rivers to obtain an overview of the presence of steep riverbanks, followed by a literature study on an amphibious vehicle, and observations of the landing process of an amphibious vehicle in training activities at the Gedebage reservoir, Bandung. This study obtains an illustration that there is an area in the watershed (DAS) with steep geometric shapes on its banks, which becomes an obstacle in the amphibious vehicle landing operation which will be found during the operation. Another illustration is when the steep banks of the river have low soil bearing capacity, there will be a potential failure of amphibious vehicles to land due to the collapse of the river bank slopes.

Abstract

This article is about the activity of risk assessment in developing KFX/IFX Fighters through joint development cooperation between Indonesia and South Korea for Engineering and Manufacturing Development Phase (EMDP). The Risks in EMDP found by using the Life Cycle of Weapon System. Risk assessment aims to identify, analyze and assess the level of risk as a calculation so that the program will always be on the track and the default of the project will be avoided. Moreover, this is the first experience for Indonesia to make fighters. Besides that, KFX/IFX fighters is one of our national program which aims to build the independence of defense industry and to open the road map in mastering on making fighter for PT. Dirgantara Indonesia (PT. DI).

Abstract

The Indonesian Ministry of Defense has established a policy for the use of unmanned aircraft  in a variety of military and non-military operations carried out by its troops. The defense industry's independence is also encouraged to develop unmanned aircraft class medium altitude long endurance (MALE). This study was conducted to analyze national capabilities in the development of unmanned aircraft in the MALE class. The research method used is qualitative with a survey to unmanned aircaft developer and user communities. Primary data is processed using Excel software and displayed in the form of tables and graphs. The result: Indonesia has already the capability to design, manufacture, and use class 1 (small) of unmanned aircfrat products, namely the maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of aircraft weighing less than 150 kg but in the development class 3 (large) of unmanned aircraft, namely the MTOW of aircraft above 600 kg and operating altitude < 13,716 km, Indonesia is only able to make designs and test models in the wind tunnel, MALE Elang Hitam (EH) development through a consortium that began in 2017 was the first activity and become a means of increasing national capacity.

Abstract

Abstrak Desain bus bertenaga listrik pada sistem transportasi sebuah kota dapat menjadi prospek mengganti bus berbahan bakar fosil konvensional dengan bus listrik yang didukung oleh energi matahari dan listrik yang disediakan oleh PLN. Untuk tujuan ini, kami mendesain dan menyelidiki lima wacana berbeda untuk memanfaatkan tenaga surya yang tersedia: (1) panel surya dipasang di atap halte bus, (2) panel surya dipasang di ruang terbuka yang tidak terpakai di ruang publik, dan (3) jalan surya, yaitu jalan yang dibangun dengan bahan fotovoltaik (PV). (4) Panel surya dipasang diatas danau, sungai ataupun laut. (5) Panel surya dipasang di atas bus. Analisis kelayakan awal menunjukkan bahwa lima skenario berkontribusi untuk memenuhi permintaan transportasi bus listrik, secara proporsional dengan ukurannya skenario (5) menyajikan biaya modal terendah dalam kaitannya dengan pembangkitan energi. Oleh karena itu, kami mengeksplorasi lebih lanjut skenario ini dengan melakukan simulasi operasi hariannya termasuk tindakannya dalam membeli dan menjual energi ke jaringan PLN, bila ada surplus energi. Secara keseluruhan, hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa, meskipun biaya modalnya tinggi, skema transportasi bertenaga surya menghadirkan alternatif yang layak untuk mengganti bus konvensional. Kata Kunci: Bus, Tenaga Surya, Analisis Kelayakan, Transportasi Alternatif Abstract The design of an electric-powered amphibious bus in a city's transportation system can be a prospect of replacing conventional fossil fuel buses with electric buses powered by solar energy and electricity provided by PLN. To this end, we designed and investigated five different discourses for utilizing available solar power: (1) solar panels installed on roofs of bus stops, (2) solar panels installed in unused open spaces in public spaces, and (3) roads solar, i.e., roads built with photovoltaic (PV) materials. (4) Solar panels are installed above lakes, rivers, or seas. (5) Solar panels installed on top of the bus. Preliminary feasibility analysis shows that the five scenarios contribute to meeting demand for electric bus transportation, in proportion to their size scenario (5) presents the lowest capital cost in relation to energy generation. Therefore, we explore this scenario further by simulating its daily operations including its actions in buying and selling energy to the PLN grid, when there is an energy surplus. Overall, the results show that, despite the high capital costs, solar-powered transport schemes present a viable alternative to conventional buses. Abstract

Kondisi Ibukota dengan pertambahan jumlah kendaraan di Jakarta yang terus meningkat tiap tahunnya tentu menjadi masalah bagi pemangku kebijakan, terlebih polusi udara yang dihadapi Ibukota Jakarta sebagai akibat pertumbuhan kendaraan yang terus meningkat tanpa adanya penambahan area jalan. Solusi yang diusulkan adalah penggunaan kapal udara hybrid sebagai moda transportasi massal. Penelitian dilakukan melalui studi literatur dan analitik pengolahan data. Kapal Udara hybrid yang dirancang yakni Kapal Udara UNHAN RI yang memiliki tujuan untuk menghubungkan Jakarta dan Bogor dengan menggunakan 12 stasiun Kereta Commuter Line. Desain mobilitas Kapal Udara UNHAN RI ini mempertimbangkan faktor aerostatis, gaya hambat, pengelolaan, gaya dinamis, rute atau pemetaan, ground handling, tambatan, serta kemampuan kapal udara. Kapal udara Unhan RI dioperasikan dengan kecepatan maksimum 130 km/jam dan ketinggian maksimum 2000 kaki. Hasil penelitian ini akan menjadi acuan dan referensi untuk keamanan dan optimalisasi mobilitas Kapal Udara UNHAN RI di masa depan. Penekanan diberikan pada faktor-faktor keamanan dan upaya untuk meminimalkan kemacetan dan polusi udara di Ibukota. Dengan demikian, kapal udara hybrid ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam mengatasi tantangan transportasi di Jakarta.

Abstract

The existing mass transportation cannot accommodate Jakarta’s population increase. The Central Statistics Agency stated that the number of vehicles in Jakarta in 2022 was 26.370.535. The high level of vehicle mobilization results in vehicle congestion in Jakarta. For this reason, it is necessary to have a mode of mass transportation to be a solution to solving congestion. Airships are air mass transportation with a propulsion system consisting of gas and engines. The design of the mode of transportation is carried out using a quantitative method through a literature review approach and numerical formulation analysis. The resulting airship designs have a capacity of 40 people, a total load of 9764 kg, balloon dimensions of 46 m x 13 m x 18 m, and gondola dimensions of 11 m x 4 m x 2m. This research provides a study of the design of mass transportation modes with air operations, which can be a solution to the congestion that occurs. Can reduce existing congestion with efficient routes for the mobilization process at work time.

Abstract

Maglev trains are considered for urban transport and intercity transport systems. On low-medium speed Maglev trains, the operating routine is shorter than that of high-speed trains. Therefore, EMS and LIM technologies are preferred from the point of view of construction costs. However, in high-speed operation, EDS and NGO technologies are preferred for handling, and reliability. In addition, as the development of high-temperature superconductors and new types of permanent magnets develop, stronger and more cost-effective magnetic energy will be used for Maglev trains. The authors believe this technology can be utilized not only for railway applications but also aircraft launch systems and spacecraft launch systems. The need for a new and improved transportation system prompted many countries to be interested and seek to develop Maglev railways. However, although Maglev trains have been studied and developed for approximately half a century, few countries have the knowledge and expertise to do so. This review paper attempts to describe the current complete system in detail and summarizes the basic core technologies of Maglev trains from an electrical engineering point of view. The research hopes to be useful for people interested in this to assimilate Maglev train technology including magnetic levitation, propulsion, guidance, and power supply systems.
