Abstract

This study aims to describe a strategy for improving the quality of graduates of the Early Childhood Education Study Program as an effort to improve the quality of education at the Nusantara Islamic University of Bandung. The research was conducted at the Early Childhood Education Study Program at Nusantara Islam University, with the subject of the Quality Assurance Unit (UPM) of the Early Childhood Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. The method used in this study uses a qualitative approach with the case study method. Data collection techniques through direct observation, searching documents and archives, and in-depth interviews. The results showed that there were SPMI policies and concepts in the form of academic quality standard documents and non-academic quality standard documents compiled by the Quality Assurance Unit (UPM); Quality Assurance Unit (UPM) as the coordinator in the determination, implementation, evaluation, control and improvement of SPMI in the Early Childhood Education Study Program; SPMI implementation is carried out by drafting a design in the form of an SPMI cycle; The obstacles faced by leadership commitment are not optimal, the number of auditors is very limited, SPMI activities are only carried out as limited as routine steps taken in anticipation of obstacles in the form of providing experts in the implementation of SPMI, training for young auditors, fostering a spirit of quality assurance, conducting evaluations every semester. Utilization of the results of the SPMI evaluation in order to build a quality culture, BAN-PT accreditation and customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Pada pemilihan umum tahun 2018, generasi Z akan menjadi pemilih pemula yang akan menggunakan hak pilihnya. Berdasarkan data Komisi Pemilihan Umum tahun 2018 menyebutkan pemilih pemula di Jawa Barat mencapai 30% dari total pemilih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perilaku pencarian informasi generasi Z pada Pemilihan Umum Gubernur Jawa Barat 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Terdapat lima siswa SMA yang akan menjadi informan pada penelitian ini dan teknik pengambilan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini yakni terdapat karakteristik kebutuhan informasi generasi Z dalam konteks prosedur pemilu, profil pasangan calon gubernur, kegiatan kampanye, serta program yang ditawarkan. Frekuensi kebutuhan informasi cenderung rendah dan tidak terprediksi. Sumber informasi yang digunakan cenderung menggunakan sumber online melalui media sosial dan media massa online, tapi juga mendapatkan informasi lain seperti televisi, koran, sharing dengan teman, orangtua dan keluarga. Pada aspek kesadaran atau pemahaman terhadap sumber informasi, faktor kebiasaan, kemasan informasi, harga dan aksesibilitas informasi mempengaruhi perilaku kebutuhan informasi generasi Z tapi mereka memiliki kendala untuk menilai kualitas informasi. Hal ini membuat generasi Z mudah menerima informasi hoax atau terprovokasi pada media sosial seperti Facebook, Instagram, Youtube dan Twitter.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Analisis Penerapan Pencahayaan Di Pitimoss Fun Library Terhadap Minat Kunjung Perpustakaan”. Salah satu faktor untuk menunjang keberhasilan layanan di perpustakaan adalah bagaimana penerapan pencahayaan yang digunakan di perpustakaan sehingga dapat menimbulkan rasa kenyamanan dan daya tarik pengunjung untuk datang ke pitimoss fun library ini. Adapun tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pencahayaan, penataan ruangan di pitimoss fun library terhadap minat kunjung perpustakaan.. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah tiga orang dari pengelola dan pengunjung perpustakaan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pencahayaan yang digunakan di pitimoss fun library sebagian besar menggunakan cahaya buatan dengan menggunakan cahaya listrik sebagai alat penerangnya. Dengan jendela yang ada di ruangan ini hanya satu sehingga cahaya matahari dan udara tidak dapat banyak masuk ke ruangan. Selanjutnya dari segi penataan ruangan, rak disini tidak terlalu tinggi sehingga menyesuaikan dengan kondisi ruangan yang tidak terlalu luas begitupun dengan penataan koleksi yang sudah berurutan sesuai genre. Akan tetapi banyak masukan dari pengunjung untuk pelebaran ruangan dan penambahan kursi, pendingin ruangan, dan meja untuk menunjang kegiatan pengunjung. Dengan adanya pitimoss fun library ini, pengunjung sangat antusias untuk datang kesini karena disini terdapat banyak koleksi fiksi seperti novel dan komik bahkan disini dikatakan taman bacaan terbesar yang berada di kota bandung. Dengan lokasi yang cukup strategis lebih memudahkan pengunjung untuk sering-sering datang kesini.

Abstract

Abstract:This study aimed to obtain an overview of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning planning model to improve grade IX students' English reading skills at SMP Negeri 1 Jampang Tengah. The method used in this study was a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, and the research subjects were English teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Jampang Tengah. The data collection was done through document review, observation, and interviews. From the study results, it could be concluded that the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition Model's learning planning activities consisted of making annual programs, semester programs, syllabus, and lesson plans. In principle, it was good and appropriate to make lesson plans with the school's provisions and guidelines. Therefore, it was believed to achieve the specified competency standards and improve reading skills in English.Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang perencanaan pembelajaran model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca bahasa Inggris siswa kelas IX di SMP Negeri 1 Jampang Tengah. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru bahasa Inggris di SMP Negeri 1 Jampang Tengah. Adapun Pengumpulan data dilakukankan melalui pengkajian dokumen, observasi dan wawancara. Dari hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan perencanaan pembelajaran model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition terdiri dari pembuatan program tahunan, program semester, silabus dan RPP. Pada prinsipnya sudah baik dan sesuai dalam pembuatan perencanaan pembelajaran dengan ketentuan dan pedoman yang di tetapkan oleh pihak sekolah. Oleh karenanya, diyakini dapat mencapai standar kompetensi yang ditentukan dan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

Improving the quality of learning can be achieved by the quality of managerial ability of the principal who is creative and innovative in managing the school. When the principal's managerial implementation has not been optimal in carrying out the main tasks and functions, it has an impact on the weak performance of teachers. Therefore, the principal has the task and role of providing guidance to improve teacher performance and the quality of learning. Based on these problems, the purpose of this research is to obtain an overview of how the planning, organizing, implementation and evaluation of school principals in improving teacher performance and learning quality. The research method used is documentation studies from relevant literature. Eight articles were used as the data. The results showed that: 1) school principals always plan teacher performance coaching programs, make methods and forms of performance coaching, allocate performance coaching time, 2) organize performance coaching including: a clear organizational structure, division of labor, 3) on the implementation function. generally carried out at the beginning of the school year and at the beginning of each semester, the routine implementation every month the principal always provides performance guidance, 4) at the evaluation stage held at the end of each semester, and also conducts class visits, the results achieved. This study concludes that the principal management has contributed positively towards the teacher performance and improved the quality of learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the implementation of the School Literacy Movement program through the Reading Challenge by using general effectiveness theory according to Campbell JP (1989) which consists of program success, target success, program satisfaction, input and output levels, and goal achievement. thorough. In this study, the approach used by researchers is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are collected through interviews and literature studies. The results of this study show that the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) program at Al-Ghifari Plus High School is sufficient to achieve program success with the participation of students. In this program, although in general, not all students take part in this activity because it is not required, the obstacles faced in implementing the Reading Challenge program at Al-Ghifari High School are students having difficulties in describing it in a fishbone diagram because of the large number of school subject assignments.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness and teaching quality of UNINUS Bandung teachers' and the quality of learning. Online learning is the most important tool in the learning process during the Covid 19 pandemic. The research method is to use Likert questionnaire survey. The subjects of the studied were students of the Nusantara Islamic University in Bandung who receive online training. The results of this study show that the effectiveness of online learning during the Covid 19 pandemicis in the low category. The implementation of online learning during the Covid 19 pandemic is as follows: students have difficulty in understanding materials, online lectures are boring, online learning support equipment is insufficient, connection is not good, and the motivation of students to participate in learning has decreased. and then follow up on the students who have also declined than before. Achievement. Online learning outlines a suboptimal understanding of the material, which makes the reading process ineffective. It can be used to gain understanding when learning online, and teachers should use zoom or googlemeet media.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the role of the school library as an information source for teachers in improving the learning process. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Informants in this study were librarian and teachers of Madrasah Aliyah Mathla’ul Huda. Data collection techniques were carried out from December 2019 to February 2020 through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques in the form of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that the information sources in the school library have been utilized by the teachers for a source to prepare learning implementation plans to improve the learning process. Based on the research results, the school library has realized its role as an information source for teachers in the learning process through library collections. In addition, 60% of the existing collections can meet the information needs of teachers. In realizing the role as an information sources, libraries experience obstacles in developing collections due to limited budgets, so that the number of books and subjects available is still lacking in meeting the needs of teachers. In addition, the library space is lacking, so it cannot accommodate large numbers of users. Therefore, the library makes various efforts to overcome, by collaborating with various related parties such as teachers and students in the selection and collections aquicition to suit their needs; cooperating with the Principal in the development of the library, especially in budget/funds.

Abstract

Library automation is one solution that can be used by libraries during the development of today's technology. There are many library automation software that can be used to support all library activities and library staff in carrying out their work effectively and efficiently. This study aims to determine the competence of library staff in the processing of library materials in cataloging by utilizing the INLIS Lite application in terms of knowledge, skills, behavior / work attitudes and obstacles in the Bandung Regency Archives and Library Service. This study uses social cognitive theory which is related to social learning theory. In this study using qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques in this study were through observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results obtained in this study indicate that the competence of the library staff in the processing of library materials in cataloging by utilizing the INLIS Lite application from the aspect of knowledge, skills and behavior/work attitude can be said to be good.Keywords: social cognitive theory, competence, librarians, INLIS Lite applicationAutomasi perpustakaan merupakan salah satu solusi yang dapat digunakan oleh perpustakaan dimasa perkembangan teknologi teknologi masa kini. Banyaknya software automasi perpustakaan yang dapat digunakan untuk menunjang segala kegiatan perpustakaan dan tenaga perpustakaan dalam melakukan pekerjaannya secara efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kompetensi tenaga perpustakaan bagian pengolahan bahan pustaka dalam pengkatalogan dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi INLISLite yang ditinjau dari aspek pengetahuan, keterampilan, perilaku/ sikap kerja dan hambatan yang ada di Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Kabupaten Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori social cognitive theory yang berkaitan dengan teori belajar sosial. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini ialah melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi tenaga perpustakaan bagian pengolahan bahan pustaka dalam pengkatalogan dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi INLIS Lite dari aspek pengetahuan, keterampilan dan perilaku/ sikap kerja dapat dikatakan baik.
