Ekoenzim menggunakan bahan baku yang mudah didapat dan murah. Proses fermentasinya yang selama 3 bulan, memang membutuhkan kesabaran tersendiri. Namun, larutan yang dihasilkan memiliki khasiat yang sangat banyak. Dalam proses fermentasinya saja, sudah terus dihasilkan gas O3 (ozon) yang sangat dibutuhkan atmosfer bumi. Larutan ekoenzim bila dicampur dengan air, akan bereaksi serta dapat digunakan sebagai cairan pembersih mulai dari piring, lantai, pakaian, kakus, sampai dengan pencuci rambut dan sabun mandi. Bila dibutuhkan, juga bisa melancarkan saluran air yang tersumbat. Campuran dengan air bila digunakan untuk menyiram tanaman akan memberi hasil buah, bunga, atau panen yang lebih baik.disamping itu juga dapat mengusir serangga-serangga pengganggu. Ampas sampah organik yang sudah difermentasi bisa digunakan sebagai pupuk organik yang baik. Selain ramah lingkungan limbah rumah tangga bisa menjadikan nilai ekonomis bagi warga RW 07 Kec.Sagulung Kota Batam karena selain lingkungan menjadi bersih juga tidak memerlukan biaya yang mahal untuk memperolehnya. Dengan memperkenalkan pengelolan limbah rumah tangga dengan ekoenzim. Manfaat yang ada dari ekoenzim adalah bisa melancarkan saluran air yang tersumbat. Elain itu, bisa juga digunakan untuk menyiram tanaman akan memberi hasil buah, bunga, atau panen yang lebih dan dapat mengusir serangga-serangga pengganggu. Ampas sampah organik yang sudah difermentasi bisa digunakan sebagai bahan untuk kebersihan dan juga sebagai pupuk organik yang baik.

This study analyzes politeness strategies of the journalists on racism issue of Papuans. This study used Politeness strategies of Brown and Levinson, mainly bold on record and off record strategies to identify the journalists’ politeness. This study employed descriptive – qualitative method to find out politeness of the journalists to report the issue of racism. The data were got from five articles in the Jakarta Post English Newspaper published in Jakarta. The findings are 33 frequencies which consist of Off record with 20 frequencies (60.6%) and Bald on record with 13 frequencies (39.4%). Each frequency above comes from the amount of the cooperation of data between Off record and Bald on record. The mostly strategy used is “give hints” because the journalists wanted to state his wishes about the racism in Papua. This study can be concluded that these articles the journalists have many understand about the racism and do face to face to the interviewee in order to get much information.Keywords: Politeness, Racism, and Indonesian Journalists

This research was aimed to identify the social actors represented in the press statement of the President of Indonesia in the issue of covid-19 pandemic using two analytical models of Halliday's transitivity model (Halliday & Matthiessen, 2004) and Van Leeuwen’s (1996) framework applied to analyze the clauses were counted and analyzed critically through public discursive models. The research data were obtained from two news published by Setkab.go,id (Secretary of cabinets).. The results showed show the positive portrayal or inclination of the press statement towards one social actor and it also portrays the ideology or stance of the president shown inclination towards as a current ruler of government at time of data collection and his influence on Setkab.go.id. he showed that actor in material process represented in the role allocation of government was aimed to show the action of the Indonesian President toward the issue of the covid-19 pandemics.Keywords: social actors, Transitivity and President’s Press Statement

This study explores ideology inside president Barack Obama’s inaugiral speech. This paper used descriptive – qualitative method to find ideology through attitudinal analysis of Martina and white (2005). The data was obtained from the transcription of Barack Obama’s inaugural speech as the data. The findings are thirty effect, thirty-o judgments, and six appreciations. The analysis of data consists of the positive and negative attitude of study reveal that three sub-systems of language appraisal namely are (a). Affect found 30 data (44,7%) consist of positive 18 data, negative 12 data, (b). Judgment found 33 data (47,2%) consist of positive 31 data, negative 2 data, (c). Appreciation found 6 data (9,1%) consist of positive 6 data, negative 0 data and also the researcher found that President Barack Obama uses more Positive Judgmental category most frequently used by Obama and some of Barack Obama's statements which indicate he has views or ideologies such as 1) protectionism and 2) anti-racism. The ideological stance inside the speech of Obama is to maintain a close relationship with the public and protection of American people in order to get people’s sympathy.Keywords: Attitudinal analysis, Ideology, Inaugural Speech, and President Obama

This research aimed to analyze the errors done by the main actor of The Terminal film who came to America to learn English. The data werecollected from the dialog done by the main actor of the film. The research was qualitative design, and the result of the research showed the errorswere influenced by the first language.

This study deals with the register analysis of the Football terms used by journalist in the online media of “BOLA” news magazine. This study focused on the lexical and phrasal items of the grammatical features and contextual meaning of the register in the football terms. This study is deigned qualitatively. The findings show that there are 22 for lexical items, and 24 for phrasal items. Thus, in term of lexical mostly used by journalists in writing the terms of football lexically come to” team” and “youngster”. On the other hand, the mostly phrasal items found in the online media of BOLA news come to “Top scorer” with 6 occurrences (25%). The second places comes to “ Mid-week” with 3 occurrences (12.5%). This study can be concluded that the use of the lexical items of “youngster”, this register refers to the social context that football mostly played by young people. While in term of phrasal items come to the term of “Top scorer” to identify a player who has created or scores the most goals in a match. This term relates to the social context in term of the skill to kick the ball inside the goal keeper. On the other side, the use of the “Mid-week” is used to relate with the time of the match.Keywords: Register, Football terms, and Online News.

This study was aimed to identify the informality of request as politeness strategies used by the students of English Education study Program (English department) of Unrika Batam.The data was obtained from request spoken by the student of English department students. The data taken based on cluster sampling due the homogeneous data. The data was students of morning class of semester seven. This study concluded that The usage of bu, ma, mah (means mother) five data and yah, pak, and pa (means father or daddy), the speaker respects to the hearer’s face by addressing her as mom. This considered her position is upper position; this does not threaten her face. This is used informally to her mother in relaxed situation. The usage of imperative sentences are four data when the hearer asks her young sister to take the glass, then the subject asks her big sister to buy her dress, when she asks her young sister to take chilly and when the subject ask the money to pay rental house. This sentences forces her face’s hearer. This shows negative face. The last is speaker states “adek” young sister to her father means to soften request to her father due to the father will usually fulfill the young child.

This study has objective to analyze phatic expression in informal communication at time-out talk among Riau Islands University students, particularly English department students based on the phatic communication of the theory of Malinowski (1923). The data of this study obtained from the students of Riau Islands University (Unrika), particularly English department students. This tudy used 30 subjects. The data obtained during “time-out talk” to have small talk or during their chatting. The data analyzed qualitatively. The data found of the phatic expression consist of particles, there were 14 data found consist of particles, the word phatic form of the repetition there were 10 data found. The influence of the local language there were 5 data found, and influence of the foreign language there were 11 data found. The study concluded that the usage of the particles of the phatic expression used to make communication to strengthen, to preserve, to maintain the communication, more interesting.

English speaking is urgently needed in the industrial era, especially in Batam City which is essential for international communication between countries so as to facilitate people who want to travel to abroad. ‘Sobat Abroad English Club’ is a English club which prepares English students to continue their studies in foreign countries. The club needs a guide to improve their English speaking via Googlemeet. The, they collaborate LPPM Unrik to improveEnglish speaking skills with the googlemeet platform. All service activities are carried out within a span of 5 months (Juli 2022-Desember 2022). The results showed that the post-test results got a conclusion that the improvement of 'speaking' ability of member of Sobat abroad was good with an average score of 73.9, while the lowest score was 68.3 and the highest score was 81.6. The lowest average score is 68.3 and the highest is 73.9 with an average of 73.9. So the average result of the pre-test and post-test scores is 79.4, Thus, the achievement value of members of ‘Sobat Abroad English Club’ abroad was significantly improved and categorized as ‘good’.
