<![CDATA[Abstract: This research was based on the students achievement in learning mathematics especially grade VIII1 of SMP Negeri 15 Pekanbaru under the Mastery Minimum Criteria with percentage of 43,6% on the test about cube, cuboid, prism, pyramid. Beside, this research was based on the low of students learning activity with the percentage of 60,53% of students still looks passive in the process of learning math. This research is a class action research. This research aims to improve the leraning activities students and learning result in mathematics in grade VIII1 of SMP Negeri 15 Pekanbaru by implementation of CTL approach. The analyzed in quantitive showed there is an increase in againts the seven indicators of the activity of student learning. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematic from the basic score with percentage 38,46% to 68,42% on the test I and 81,58% on the test II. Based on the result of this research could be concluded that the implementation of CTL Approach can improve the students learning activity and student’s achievement of learning mathematic in grade VIII1 of SMP Negeri 15 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2016/2017.]]>
