Penggunaan Media Pembelajaran dan Kemampuan Berpikir Simbolik Anak Usia Dini

Abstract

The problem in this study is that the majority of children aged 5-6 years still have difficulty in symbolic thinking. This study aims to determine the effect of media use with the ability to think symbolically. This research is a quantitative research using Pre-Experimental Design with a type of One Pretest-Post test Group. The population in the study was 75 children, while the samples taken were 30 children Purposive Sampling. Techniques the date were obtained by using observation and documentation techniques, while data analysis was done by using analysis of tables and analysis of hypothesis testing with Simple Regression formula. The results showed that there was a positive influence between the use of media and the ability of symbolic thinking 3.69. This means that the use of media in learning can stimulate children's development in terms of symbolic thinking. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah mayoritas anak usia dini 5-6 tahun masih kesulitan dalam berpikir simbolik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media terhadap kemampuan berpikir simbolik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang bersifat Pre-Experimental dengan desain One Grup Pretest-Posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian sebanyak 75 anak, sedangkan sampel yang diambil sebanyak 30 anak dengan menggunakan teknikPurposive Sampling. Pengambilan data dalam penelitian menggunakan teknik observasi dan dokumentasi, uji hipotesis  menggunakan rumus Regresi Sederhana. Dan uji Realibiltas menggunakan rumus Sperman Brwon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan media terhadap kemampuan berpikir simbolik sebesar 3,69. Ini berarti bahwa penggunaan media dalam pembelajaran dapat menambah perkembangan anak dalam hal berpikir simbolik.Kata Kunci: anak usia dini, berpikir simbolik, penggunaan Media
