Abstract

The research problem was the low ability to classify objects in early childhood in early childhood. This study aimed to determine the influences of play activities using natural materials on the ability to classify objects aged 5-6 years in kindergarten Kartikatama Metro Selatan. The research method was used asosiatif kausala design. Technique samples was used total sampling and the sample were 30 students. Data were collected by observation and documentation. Data was analyzed by using Simple Linear Regression. The results showed that there were an influence between play activities using natural materials on the ability to classify objects in children aged 5-6 years.Masalah penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan mengklasifikasikan benda pada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aktivitas bermain menggunakan bahan alam terhadap kemampuan mengklasifikasikan benda pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Kartikatama Metro Selatan. Metode penelitian bersifat asosiatif kausal. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 30 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan Regresi Linier Sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh antara aktivitas bermain menggunakan bahan alam terhadap kemampuan mengklasifikasikan benda pada anak usia 5-6 tahun.Kata Kunci: anak usia dini, klasifikasi, bahan alam, benda.
