PENGEMBANGAN DUSUN RAMAH LANSIA MELALUI PELAKSANAAN SEKOLAH LANSIA DI KARET KABUPATEN BANTUL

Abstract

Abstrak: Persentase jumlah lansia di Yogyakarta sebanyak 14,5 %. Peningkatan jumlah lansia akan menjadi tantangan bagi masyarakat apabila lansia mengalami masalah Kesehatan. Hal ini berdampak pada peningkatan biaya perawatan kesehatan, peningkatan disabilitas, penurunan pendapatan, kurangnya dukungan sosial dan lingkungan yang kurang ramah terhadap lansia. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan mengembangkan kawasan ramah lansia. World Health Organization (WHO) telah membuat indikator untuk mencapai kawasan ramah lansia. Berdasarkan hal ini, tim Abdimas mengembangkan dusun Karet, kabupaten Bantul sebagai dusun ramah lansia karena memiliki jumlah persentase lansia besar yaitu sebesar 17,81 % serta memiliki potensi sumber daya manusia yang dapat dikembangkan dengan baik.  Salah satu upaya untuk mencapai indikator tersebut adalah dengan membentuk sekolah lansia. Pelaksanaan sekolah lansia melibatkan berbagai pihak khususnya para remaja dan kader Kesehatan lansia untuk dapat berkontribusi dalam pelaksanaan sekolah lansia. Adanya kontribusi dari lintas generasi (intergenerational learning) dapat menjadikan indicator terbentuknya sekolah lansia. Hasil yang telah dicapai dari kegiatan ini adalah adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta sekolah lansia sebesar 45,74 %, adanya peran serta dari lintas generasi (intergenerational learning) dan terbentuknya dusun ramah lansia di dusun Karet Bantul.Abstract:  The percentage of the elderly in Yogyakarta about 14.5%. Increasing the number of older people will be a challenge for society if the elderly experience health problems. Moreover, this notion has an impact on increasing health care costs, increasing disability, decreasing income, lack of social support and an environment that is less friendly to the elderly. Developing an elderly-friendly area is one of the significant Efforts to build a friendly area for the elderly. The World Health Organization (WHO) has developed indicators to achieve elderly-friendly areas. Based on this, the authors developed Karet, Pleret, Bantul as a village friendly to the elderly because it has a large percentage of older people, namely 17.81% and has the potential for human resources that can be adequately developed. One of the efforts to achieve this indicator is by establishing an elderly school. The implementation of elderly schools involves various parties, especially teenagers and elderly health cadres, to be able to contribute to the implementation of elderly schools. The existence of contributions from across generations (intergenerational learning) can be an indicator of the formation of elderly schools. The results that have been achieved from this activity are an increase in the knowledge of elderly school participants about 45.74 %, the participation of intergenerational learning (intergenerational learning) and the formation of an elderly-friendly hamlet in Karet Bantul
