<![CDATA[The performance of the village government is an indicator or benchmark in determining how the government is successful in the welfare of its people to achieve high levels of productivity in society and its government. Public services are part of the performance of the government, how the village government provides or takes policies and decisions in an effort to improve the quality of life and life of a more prosperous community. The village government took a policy to hold a public Water Closet (WC) that the community could use to reduce diseases caused by the environment. The research objective is to see 1). Village Government Performance in Using Public Water Closet (WC) Infrastructure to Reduce Open Defecation (BABS); 2). Community satisfaction with the performance of the Village Government in the Use of Public Water Closet (WC) Infrastructure to Reduce Open Defecation (BABS); 3). obstacles received by the village government in carrying out the development of Public Water Closet (WC) infrastructure to Reduce Open Defecation (BABS). The research method used in this research was descriptive qualitative method. The study population was 36 village fund managers and community leaders. The sample in this study consisted of 18 village fund managers and community leaders spread across 8 villages from 18 villages in Tanarighu District, West Sumba Regency. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling, by using key people who understand village problems clearly, the manager of village funds, namely the village head or village secretary, as well as people who feel the village government policies, namely community leaders. The results showed that the performance of the village government was good where the community was satisfied with the services provided, the village community's satisfaction with the performance of the village government, the community was satisfied because the village government was currently transparent, accountability and the balance of community rights and obligations were the priority of the village government, and obstacles. what the village government receives is classified as difficult with the location or land that is owned by individuals and is supported by a lack of knowledge.Keywords: village government; public water closet (WC) infrastructure; open defecation (BABS)ABSTRAKKinerja pemerintah desa merupakan indikator atau tolak ukur dalam menentukan bagaimana pemerintah tersebut berhasil dalam mensejahterakan masyakatnya untuk mencapai tingkat produktivitas yang tinggi dalam Masyarakat dan pemerintahannya. Pemerintah desa mengambil kebijakan untuk mengadakan Water Closet (WC) umum yang dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat dalam mengurangi penyakit yang disebabkan oleh lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian untuk melihat 1). Kinerja Pemerintah Desa dalam Penggunaan Infrastruktur Water Closet (WC) Umum untuk Mengurangi Buang Air Besar Sembarang (BABS); 2). Kepuasan masyarakat terhadap kinerja Pemerintah Desa dalam Penggunaan Infrastruktur Water Closet (WC) Umum untuk Mengurangi Buang Air Besar Sembarang (BABS); 3). hambatan yang diterima pemerintah desa dalam menjalankan pemangunan infrastruktur Water Closet (WC) Umum untuk Mengurangi Buang Air Besar Sembarang (BABS). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah 36 orang pengelola dana desa dan tokoh masyarakat. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 18 orang pengelola dana desa dan tokoh masyarakat yang tersebar di 8 desa dari 18 desa di Kecamatan Tanarighu Kabupaten Sumba Barat. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling dengan menggunakan key people yang memahami masalah desa secara jelas, pengelola dana desa yaitu kepala Desa atau Sekretaris Desa, serta masyarakat yang merasakan kebijakan pemerintah desa yaitu tokoh masyarakat dan yang menjadi sampel masuk dalam kriteria yang ditentukan oleh peneliti. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.Hasil penelitian didapatkan kinerja pemerintah desa sudah baik dimana masyarakat merasa puas terhadap pelayanan yang telah diberikan, kepuasan masyarakat desa terhadap kinerja pemerintah desa, masyarakat merasa puas karena pemerintah desa saat ini transparan, akuntabilitas dan keseimbangan hak dan kewajiban masyarakat menjadi prioritas pemerintah desa, dan hambatan yang diterima pemerintah desa tergolong sulit dengan lokasi atau lahan yang merupakan milik perorangan dan didukung dengan pengetahuan yang kurang.Kata kunci: pemerintah desa; infrastruktur water closet (WC) umum; buang air besar sembarang (BABS)]]>
