This research and development aims to produce learning media in the form of learning videos for Islamic Cultural History (SKI) subjects for the Abasiyah government. The problem that occurs is that the number of character names and foreign names makes it difficult for students to memorize. These subjects are presented with less creative, less effective learning and historical material only lectures without pictures making students not interested in learning. With such learning conditions, learning technology should be available or facilitated that makes it easier for students to learn. Researchers facilitate the problems that occur by developing SKI learning videos. This development research uses ADDIE with pretest posttest control group design. The experimental subjects in this study were 58 students of class VIII SMP Al-Huda which will be divided into an experimental class and a control class. The results of the study indicate that the media that has been developed is suitable for use in learning. Another finding from this study shows that there is an effect of using instructional videos on students' understanding. The mean score obtained in the experimental group was much higher than the score obtained from the control group. This proves that there is a difference in value between the experimental group and the control group. The only thing that makes the difference is the treatment by providing SKI learning video media. The SKI learning video media has a positive impact on students, making students more enthusiastic and enthusiasm in learning.
