PENGGUNAAN PENDEKATAN GUIDED DISCOVERY UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPA

Abstract

This research aimed to amend studies, which there are an increase of process (student’s hands-on/minds-on activity) and evaluation result (students formative test) in science studies by the use of guided discovery approach. This research method is using classroom action research (CAR) which being held in 2 cycles, every cycle consist of plan, act, observe, dan reflect step. The learning outcomes consist of activity process and formative test result. The data about studies process are acquired from hands-on/minds-on observation. As for the studies observation about the students evaluation result are taken from the student formative test result of 1st cycle and 2nd cycle. The result of research in 1st cycle each respectively large as 2,92, 3,25, and 3,16, as for 2nd cycle each respectively large as 3,75, 3,60 and 3,69.Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini untuk memperbaiki pembelajaran, yaitu adanya peningkatan proses (aktivitas hands-on/minds-on peserta didik) dan hasil evaluasi (tes formatif peserta didik) dalam pembelajaran IPA dengan menggunakan pendekatan guided discovery. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus, yang setiap siklus terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, refleksi. Hasil belajar terdiri dari proses aktivitas dan hasil tes formatif. Data mengenai proses pembelajaran diperoleh dari lembar observasi hands-on/minds-on aktivitas peserta didik, sedangkan pengamatan pembelajaran tentang hasil tes formatif peserta didik diambil dari hasil tes siklus I dan siklus II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I masing-masing secara berurutan sebesar 2,92, 3,25, dan 3,16  sedangkan pada siklus II masing-masing secara berurutan sebesar 3,75, 3,60, dan 3,69.Kata kunci: guided discovery, hasil belajar, IPA
