Abstract

This study aims to describe the physical educator competence, exercise and health SD, SMP, SMA/SMK in Kecamatan Tanjungkarang Barat Kota Bandar Lampung, covering pedagogical competence, personal competence, social competence, and professional competence. The method used in this study is a survey approach using qualitative descriptive analysis. Data were collected through interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaires. Based on the results of this study concluded that (1) Profile physical educator on duty in Kecamatan Tanjungkarang Barat shows that of factors including the relatively old age, so they charge relatively quite long anyway, (2) In pedagogical competence of physical educator in Kecamatan Tanjungkarang Barat is appropriate, (3) in the competence of the physical educators personality in Kecamatan Tanjungkarang Barat have behaviors that can be exemplified by learners, (4) in the social competence of physical educator in Kecamatan Tanjungkarang Barat have been able to communicate and interact effectively with various stakeholders, such as with students, fellow educators and education personnel, and parents/guardians of students and the surrounding community, (5) both professional competence of physical educators in Kecamatan Tanjungkarang Barat is still low in the understanding of a scientific nature, especially in doing Classroom Action Research (CAR).Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tentang kompetensi guru Penjasorkes SD, SMP, SMA/SMK se Kecamatan Tanjungkarang Barat Baandar Lampung, meliputi kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi social, dan kompetensi professional. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey dengan pendekatan analisis menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, pengamatan, dokumentasi, dan angket. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) Profil guru penjasorkes yang bertugas di Kecamatan Tanjungkarang Barat menunjukan bahwa dari faktor usia termasuk relative tua, sehingga bertugas mereka relatif cukup lama pula, (2) Secara kompetensi pedagogik para guru penjasorkes di Tanjungkarang Barat sudah sesuai, (3) secara kompetensi kepribadian para guru penjasorkes di Tanjungkarang Barat memiliki perilaku yang bisa diteladani oleh peserta didik, (4) Secara kompetensi sosial para guru penjasorkes di Tanjungkarang Barat telah mampu berkomunikasi dan bergaul secara efektif dengan berbagai pihak, seperti dengan siswa, sesama pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, dan orang tua/wali peserta didik serta masyarakat sekitar, (5) secara kompetensi professional guru penjasorkes di Kecamatan Tanjung-karang Barat masih rendah dalam pemahaman yang bersifat ilmiah, terutama dalam melakukan PTK.Kata kunci: kompetensi, pedagogik, kepribadian, sosial, professional
