Pengaruh Masjid Menara Kudus Sebagai Landmark Kota Terhadap Lingkungan Kota Lama Kudus

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Formation of a city cannot be sparated from the existence of city-forming elements, one of which is a landmark. Landmark is an identity that is owned by a city. Kudus city has a Menara Kudus Mosque that serves as the city’s identity. This study will find the influence of the Menara Kudus Mosque on the surrounding environtment. The research method used is direct observation in the field and with interviews with informans, namely resident around the Old City of Kudus. From the results of the study, it was found that there were several influences due to the existence of the Menara Kudus Mosque, that a growing economy, crowded and surrounding mosques that were oriented to the Menara Kudus Mosque.Keywords:landmark,menara kudus mosque, old city of kudus  ABSTRAK              Terbentuknya suatu kota tak lepas dari adanya elemen-elemen pembentuk kota salah satunya adalah Landmark. Landmark merupakan suatu identitas yang dimiliki oleh sebuah kota. Kota Kudus mempunyai Masjid Menara sebagai identitas kota. Penelitian ini bertujuan mencari pengaruh Masjid Menara Kudus terhadap lingkungan sekitarnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasi secara langsung di lapangan dan dengan wawancara kepada informan yaitu penduduk sekitar Kota Lama Kudus.Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan beberapa pengaruh karena keberadaan Masjid Manara Kudus, yaitu aspek fisik dan aspek non fisik pada lingkungan sekitar Masjid Menara.Katakunci:landmark,masjid menara kudus,kota lama kudus
