<![CDATA[ABSTRACTEarly marriage rates in Central Lombok district was still very high (55.83%). The cause of this condition is due to various factors, as well as socio-cultural factors, economic factors and educational factors. The government recognize that early marriage is one of the risk factor for high maternal mortality rates. Many attempts had been done, but the result was unsatisfactory. Therefore the author tries to make efforts to empower youth through the formation of "Youth Class". The main purpose of this activity is to provide empowerment to young people in an effort to reduce early marriage rates. The method of implementation includes: the selection of youth who are willing to become cadres of “Youth Classes”, empowerment activities in the form of meetings. The meeting is to empower the youth by inviting persons who are experts in their fields. The result of this empowerment was the formation of a "Youth Class" in Sisik Village accompanied by formatting an organizational structure that was agreed upon in accordance with their task. They will then be tasked to provide understanding about the impact of early married to their peers in order to prevent them from this condition with the motto: "Education Yes, Early Marriage No".Keywords: youth class, empowerment, early marriage. ABSTRAKAngka pernikahan dini di Kabupaten Lombok Tengah masih sangat tinggi (55,83%). Penyebabnya oleh karena berbagai faktor yaitu faktor sosial budaya, faktor ekonomi dan faktor pendidikan. Pemerintah menyadari bahwa pernikahan dini merupakan salah satu faktor risiko tingginya angka kematian ibu melahirkan. Banyak upaya yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah, akan tetapi hasilnya belum memuaskan. Oleh karena itu penulis mencoba melakukan upaya pemberdayaan kepada para remaja melalui uji-coba pembentukan “Kelas Remaja”. Tujuan utama dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pemberdayaan kepada para remaja dalam upaya penurunan angka pernikahan dini. Metode pelaksanaannya meliputi: pemilihan remaja yang bersedia menjadi kader kelas remaja, Kegiatan pemerdayaan berupa pertemuan-pertemuan. Pertemuan tersebut untuk memberdayakan para remaja dengan mengundang narasumber yang ahli dibidangnya. Hasil dari pemberdayaan ini adalah terbentuknya “Kelas Remaja” di Desa Sisik disertai dengan susunan organisasi yang disepakati sesuai bidang tugas masing-masing. Mereka seterusnya akan bertugas memberikan pemahaman kepada teman sebaya mereka (peer group) dalam rangka mencegah pernikahan dini di desanya dengan motto: “Pendidikan Yes, Nikah Dini No”.Kata Kunci: kelas remaja, pemberdayaan, nikah dini]]>
