PENERAPAN METODE INKUIRI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS

Abstract

Social studies learning in class IV at Elementary School 2 Metro Pusat was not optimal, the student achievement were still low. The purpose of this research was to increase students learning result by implementing inquiry method. This research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted two cycles. Stages of each cycle were planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data were obtained through non-test and test techniques using the observation sheet and questions test. Data were analyzed by using qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The results of this research showed that the implementation inquiry method in social studies learning can increase students learning result.Pembelajaran IPS di kelas IV SDN 2 Metro Pusat belum optimal, hasil belajar siswa masih rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menerapkan metode inkuiri. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan 2 siklus. Tahapan setiap siklus yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data diperoleh melalui teknik non tes dan tes dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dan soal tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan analisis kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode inkuiri dalam pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, IPS, metode inkuiri
