<![CDATA[Students find it difficult in the process of understanding thematic concepts because of the large amount of material that students must learna. This study aims to improve students’ understanding of concepts by using printed image media used in the thematic learning process in grade II theme 4 sub-theme 6 caring for plants. On the subject of learning civic education, Indonesian and cultural arts and crafts. This print image media is to overcome ethe problems experienced by students in understanding thematic subject matter. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. Research fudings include the use of printed image media proven to increase students understanding of concepts, especially in theme 6 caring dor animals andplants, an increase in students’ understanding of concepts was obtained on the basic score of classical completeness scores of 44,4%. Then evidenced by the understanding of students in cycle 1 of 9 students there were 4 students who achieved KKM withan average score of 88,3 and a classical completeness score of 77,7 then there was an increase in the second cycle of 9 students there were 8 students who achieved KKM with an average score of 98 and a classical completeness score of 88,8.]]>
