Children aged 7-8 years are included in the confirmation and fluency phase where children should become more fluent and able to understand the context of the story more deeply and begin to be able to relate what they read to what they experience in everyday life. However, after conducting observations and interviews with one of the class teachers and homeroom teacher from class 3 at SD Negeri Pabuaran, information was obtained that was not in accordance with the results of previous research. Students in class 3B still have problems in reading, where children are not yet fluent in reading and are not yet able to connect the text with the knowledge they already have to understand the content of the reading and remember the reading material. Children's ability to read is hampered by students not focusing on the material being explained. Therefore, researchers tried to create a solution in the form of a Word Bingo game. This research aims to improve students' reading skills by playing Word Bingo. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Where researchers will analyze reading skills through the Word Bingo Game at Pabuaran State Elementary School more specifically and in depth for class 3B students involving 33 students.
