Abstract

The research purposes were to increase students learning achievement of mathematic by applying problem based learning model. Type of research method was classroom action research by using some cycles; planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The data collecting techniques were observation sheet and question test. The techniques of analysis used qualitative and quantitative analysis. The result of research showed that the applying problem based learning model can increase students learning achievement of mathematic.Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan menerapkan model problem based learning. Jenis metode penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan tahapan setiap siklus, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Alat pengumpul data berupa lembar observasi dan soal tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model problem basedlearning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, problem based learning, matematika
