PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TALKING STICK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR

Abstract

The aim of research was to increase the study result for social studies subject by implementation of cooperative learning model type talking stick. The method of this research was classroom action research with planning, acting, observing, and reflecting step. The instrument of data collecting used observation sheet and test. The technique of data analysis used qualitative and quantitative technique. The results of research showed that implementation of cooperative learning model talking stick type for social studies subject could improve the study result of student. The average score for cycle I was 67,45 with High category and increased 8,28 becomes 75,73 in cycle II with High category. The percentage of students result in cycle I was 65% and cycle II was 80%, it increased 15%.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 siklus dan masing-masing siklus terdiri dari: (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan, (3) observasi, dan (4) refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik non tes dan tes. Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan soal tes. Teknik analisis data mengunakan teknik kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa siklus I adalah 67,45 dengan kategori Tinggi, dan meningkat sebesar 8,28 menjadi 75,73 pada siklus II dengan kategori Tinggi. Persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa siklus I sebesar 65% dan siklus II mencapai 80%, meningkat sebesar 15%.Kata kunci: model pembelajaran kooperatif, talking stick, hasil belajar.
