Abstract

Abstract: This research is a classroom action research aims at increasing Biology learning activities and outcomes in cognitive class XI science 3 Darul Hikmah Islamic Senior High School Pekanbaru through the Application of Numbered Head Cooperative Learning Model Together (NHT) is assisted by fortune wheel props. The subject of this study was students of class XI Science 3 Darul Hikmah Islamic Senior High School Pekanbaru 2018/2019 academic year, totaling 19 students, all of whom were male. Student learning activity data was obtained from the observation activity learning sheet assessed by the observer. Biology learning outcomes in the cognitive domain are seen from the absorption and completeness of learning. The results of this study indicate that student learning activities increased by a percentage of 80.26 (sufficient category) in the first cycle and increased to 87.9 (good category) in cycle II. The absorption of students also increased from cycle I to cycle II from 79.95 (enough category) to 86.95 (good category). Student completeness increased from cycle I to cycle II, with completeness percentage 78.95% (enough category) to 100% (very good category). From the results of this study it can be concluded that the Application of the Cooperative Learning Model Numbered Head Together (NHT) assisted by the Wheel of Fortune Props can improve the activities and learning outcomes of Biology in the cognitive domain of class XI Science 3 Darul Hikmah Islamic Senior High School Pekanbaru.Key Words: NHT Type Learning Model, Wheel of Luck, Learning Activities, Cognitive learning outcomes
