Abstract

Anak usia prasekolah (di bawah 7 tahun) merupakan masa usia prasekolah dimana masa kritis dalam pembentukansumber daya yang berkualitas. Pada masa ini anak juga sedang mengalami perkembangan motorik yang pesat termasuk perkembangan motorik halus. Status gizi merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi perkembanganmotorik halus pada anak. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuandan keterampilan mengenai pengukuran berat badan, pengukuran tinggi badan, dan mengetahui status gizi idealmenggunakan cakram gizi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah, simulasi dan tanya jawab. Hasil luarandari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah laporan yang telah dipublikasikan di jurnal dan peningkatanpengetahuan dan pemahaman responden.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Program pemberian makan khususnya makan siang untuk siswa di sekolah telah lama dianjurkan oleh UN WFP. Program tersebut diduga dapat membantu memperbaiki asupan makan, dietary diversity, dan bahkan status gizi siswa. Meskipun demikian, literatur yang membuktikan dugaan tersebut masih terbatas. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui perbedaan dietary diversity dan status gizi siswa yang mendapat program makan siang dan tidak mendapat program makan siang di sekolah. Metode: Penelitian dilakukan secara systematic literature review. Berdasarkan pencarian literatur dari 3 database, diperoleh 5 artikel yang di-review. Hasil : Ada perbedaan dietary diversity pada siswa yang diberi program makan siang dan siswa yang tidak diberi makan siang dari sekolah dengan kecenderungan dietary diversity siswa yang mendapat makan siang dari sekolah lebih baik dari siswa yang tidak mendapat program makan siang dari sekolah. Meskipun demikian, perbedaan status gizi pada siswa yang mendapat makan siang dan tidak mendapat makan siang dari sekolah masih memerlukan penelitian lebih lanjut. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh adanya literatur mengatakan bahwa rata-rata z-score IMT/U (indeks massa tubuh menurut usia) siswa yang mendapat makan siang dari sekolah lebih baik dari pada siswa yang tidak mendapat makan siang dari sekolah, namun beberapa literatur lain menunjukkan hasil yang sebaliknya. Kesimpulan: Siswa yang mendapat program makan siang memiliki dietary diversity yang lebih baik dibanding siswa yang tidak mendapat program makan siang dari sekolah.Kata kunci : Program pemberian makan, Program makan siang, Dietary diversity, Status gizi, Siswa

Abstract

This study aims to create a Diet Menu Planning Technology Instrument. The model used for making the instrument is procedural. This model is a descriptive model with a description of the development steps according to the research needs. R and D was chosen as the procedural approach. The development steps are (1) analysis of the weaknesses of the diet menu-planning instrument currently in use, (2) analysis of the instrument specifications for new technology, (3) instrument design, and (4) instrument testing. The resource persons in this study were lecturers of the nutrition study program and selected using purposive sampling technique to obtain data on the needs for dietary menu planning technology instruments. The types of data produced in this study are qualitative and quantitative data. The final product of this diet menu planning automatic instrument is named "Menu Harianku". This product is used as an instrument to assist the nutritional care process. The final product is a display of the food menu along with information on nutrients and percentage of fulfillment based on the nutrition needs of each individual. The results of the functionality test show a value of 100 percent, meaning that all the features available can work properly.

Abstract

The prevalence of chronic energy deficiency (KEK) in Jombang District has a percentage of 15.17 percent in women who are not pregnant and 12.63 percent in women of childbearing age who are pregnant (Kemenkes RI, 2018). The high prevalence of chronic energy deficiency (KEK) in women of childbearing age in Jombang District, which exceeds the average in East Java, indicates that there are problems that need special attention. This study aims to analyze the effect of nutrition education with booklet media on preconception nutrition knowledge, attitudes and macronutrient intake of premarital women. This type of research is a quasi-experimental. The design used pre-post test control group design. The results of the study indicate that there is an effect of education with booklet media on nutritional knowledge of premarital women (p equal to 0.008), there is an effect of education with booklet media on the attitude of premarital women (p equal to 0.001), there is an effect of education with booklet media on energy intake (p equal to 0.020), protein (p equal to 0.025), lemak (p equal to 0.005), karbohidrat (p equal to 0.034).  Education using booklet media affects preconception nutrition knowledge, attitudes and macronutrient intake. This happens because the booklet media is easy to understand, can be taken anywhere and can be read at any time so that this media is very effective.

Abstract

Pregnancy in adolescence has high enough of medical risk. Because in adolescence, their reproductive organs are not ripening enough to do its function. The effect of anemia in pregnancy, especially during adolescence age, can cause harm during pregnancy. The purpose of this research is to analyse the effect of gestational age, knowledge of mothers about pregnancy, and nutritional status on anemia in adolescence pregnancy in Sawahan District of Surabaya City. This research type was analitic observational. The research design used is case control design because the using of 2groups of cases, which are case and control group with 52 pregnant mother in each group. The result of this research which has been analyzed with double logistic regression, the variable which has significant score less than 0,05 among others: gestation pregnancy (p=0,000), It can be concludedthat pregnant mother in trimestry 3 have anemia probability 8,85 (1/0,113) times larger than pregnant mother in trimestry 2. There is influence of third trimester adolescence pregnancy to the occurrence of anemia.

Abstract

The nutrition problems that often occur in adolescence are multiple nutritional problems that is overweight and thin. It’s happen because imbalace between energy consumption and expulsion energy in the body metabolism. The prevalence of overweight and thin teenagers aged 16 – 18 are rising each year. The purpose of this research is to know the relation of nutrition knowledge and eating habits with weight of santriwati in boarding school Amanatul Ummah Surabaya. The design of this research is the cross sectional. The sample of research is 45 respondents, taken using a proportional random sampling. The instrument using a questionnaire, data analysis using spearman rank test with significance level 0.05. The research shows that almost half of the repondent having overweight (31.1%) and a small part has skinny (11.1%). The results of the test of rank spearman shows there is unrelation between nutrition knowledge with weight (p = 0,205) and there is relation between eating habits with weight (p = 0.000). It can be concluded that nutritional knowledge does not affect a person to choose nutritious foods and according to the need, but eating habits will effect for weight. Teenagers should apply of nutrition knowledge that they have so can change eating habits.

Abstract

Pregnancy is a process of growth and development in an intrauterine fetus from conception to be born (1). Pregnant women are a group that is prone to nutritional problems due to an increase in body metabolism resulting in an increase in the need for nutrients. One of the nutrients needed is iron and folic acid found in spinach and beets. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of spinach and beets on hemoglobin levels of pregnant women through a systematic literature review approach. The results of a review of studies related to the effectiveness of spinach on hemoglobin levels of pregnant women with varying amounts and times. This method is effective for increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women in addition to offering Fe tablets. Giving beets, both in the form of juice, extract / supplement is also effective in increasing hemoglobin levels for pregnant women. Based on the results of a systematic literature review in total it can be denied that spinach and beets can effectively increase hemoglobin levels for pregnant women with a minimum duration of administration for 7 days in various types of preparations.

Abstract

Tujuan: menganalisis beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kejadian anemia pada kehamilan usia remaja di Kecamatan Sawahan Kota Surabaya.Bahan dan Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah Observational Analitik. Desain yang digunakan adalah case control karena menggunakan 2 kelompok yaitu kasus (ibu hamil usia remaja dengan anemia) dan kelompok kontrol (ibu hamil usia remaja yang tidak mengalami anemia) yang masing-masing berjumlah 52 ibu hamil.Hasil: Terdapat hubungan antara kepatuhan minum tablet Fe dengan anemia kehamilan usia remaja, namun kepatuhan minum tablet Fe tidak berpengaruh terhadap anemia kehamilan usia remaja; Ibu hamil dengan pola makan kurang dari angka kecukupan gizi (AKG) kemungkinan anemia 6,321 kali lebih besar dibandingkan dengan ibu hamil yang pola makannya lebih dari sama dengan angka kecukupan gizi (AKG); Ibu hamil yang tidak teratur melakukan pemeriksaan kehamilan kemungkinan anemia 4,421 kali lebih besar dibandingkan dengan ibu hamil yang teratur melakukan pemeriksaan kehamilan.Simpulan: Faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap anemia pada kehamilan usia remaja adalah kepatuhan minum tablet Fe, pola makan, dan keteraturan pemeriksaan kehamilan.

Abstract

Background:   The Covid-19 pandemic increases the risk of weight gain and stress in young adults, especially female college students. Adequate exercise interventions are needed to prevent the incidence of obesity and its complications.  Objective :   To determine the effectiveness of aerobic dance exercise and walking on body mass index (BMI) and stress in overweight or obese female college students.   Methods :  This study was an experimental pre-posttest design with 28 people sample size divided into 2 groups, namely the intervention group (aerobic exercise) and the control group (walking). The treatment was given for 4 weeks with a frequency of 3 times a week. Results : The results showed a significant decrease in stress scores before and after treatment in the intervention and control groups (p 0.05). The post-test stress scores between the intervention and control groups were also significantly different, which means that aerobic exercise has a better effect on reducing stress than walking. A significant decrease in BMI also occurred before and after treatment in the intervention group from an average of 27.65 (2.39) to 27.34 (2.41), but this did not occur in the control group. Conclusion :   Aerobic exercise is proven to be effective in reducing BMI and stress in overweight or obese female students, while walking is only effective for reducing stress but cannot reduce BMI in overweight or obese female studentsKeywords : Female College Student, Body Mass Index, Stress, Aerobic Dance, Walking
