Abstract

Chemistry subject is one of difficult subject considered by high school students. The difficulty of studying chemistry was related to the characteristics of chemistry it self Chemistry is abstract. So, in the learning process teachers should use a good and an optimal learning resources. One of learning resources that can be used is learning module. In developing learning modules, teacher can relate the subject with the science of religion. So that, besides getting knowledge about chemistry, the students can also increase the insight of religion Islam. Because of the position of education growing the value of religion, occupies a very important place. The arm of this research was to know the design of module and the eligibility of learning chemistry module based Al-qur'an and student learning result by using chemistry learning module based on Al-qur'an at SMAN 1 Aceh Barat Daya. The populations of this study were students at of X MIA in SMAN 1 Aceh Barat Daya which consist of 5 classes i.e. 150 students. While, the samples of this study were students of X MIA-3 which were consist of 24 students. This study was Research and Development (R&D). According to Borg & Gall development research was a process which used to develop and validate educational products. The techniques of Data collection was used validation sheet techniques, trials, questionnaires and giving multiple-choice test. The validation, trial, test and questionnaire result were analyzed by using percentage technique. The results showed that the percentage of validation results refers to very interesting / worthy to use that was equivalent to 85.45% and in the trial module got percentage of 93,33% and percentage of student responses included into interested criterion that was 87,91% for answer "yes" while 12.9% for answer "no" from the percentage of the chemistry module learning atomic structure materials based A-qur’an well-intentioned to use in SMAN 1 Aceh Barat Daya.

Abstract

The efforts to increase the student learning motivation was become a part of all importance in our studies. The studies activity was not signifinificant if only depend on main book, modul or another subject as atribute of student sucsefully. Learning models will be significanly good if a lecture could be sourch to increase of motivation student learning and found what his needed. Motivation activity will be forces every body to know somethings needed for him self. The student movation caused staying in intrinsics dan extrinsics models. The arm of this research was to determine the aplication effect of problem solving learning model in stoichiometry to increase the students motivation. Is the type/of this research was action research with pretest-posttest group design. The researching sample was given treatment by problem solving learning model. The data collection were done by a pretest and postest of learning motivation by questionnaire test for every circle. The data processed by t-test for different test between pretest and posttes. This research study conducted in Education Chemical Studies Program, of FTK UIN Ar-Raniry. The results activities and learning students motivation shown that the totals average scores increased from 2,583 into 3,25 and totals average learning students motivation of N-gain score from 0,38 to 0,76 included of “good” and “high” category. By problem solving, model can be increase the student learning movitation and passion when solving each problem in stoichiometry subject.

Abstract

Chemistry teaches student to understand the chemistry concepts and the interrelated applications in everyday life as well as for technological advancement, its namely student using the centered learning (student centered). This study raises the problem whether through cooperative learning of Snowball Throwing type can improve student learning outcomes on Hydrocarbon material and how student activity in learning activities. This research was a classroom action research. Research settings consist of place, time research and action reasearch cycle, which became the subject of research was the students of class XI MIA 3 which consisted of 31 students. To know the influence of the application of cooperative learning model of Snowball Throwing type was by observation on student activity from questionnaire. Data obtained from the observation of the activity of students and teachers reached the categories of good and very good based on predetermined criteria. From the first cycle the test result obtained 67,74%, in second cycle the test result increased by 87,1%, and the final test was obtained 96,77%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model of Snowball Throwing type in Hydrocarbon material of class XI MIA 3 MAN 1 Aceh Besar can improve the learning result and the student activity.

Abstract

Actually, chemistry learning is very fun, but it takes a high motivation, passion and confident. Based on that, the teacher's effort in developing student's learning activity is very important, because the students' learning activity becomes the determinant of the success of learning that is done. The use of an appropriate learning methods was an alternative to overcome the problem of low absorption of students to the lesson. The arm of this research was to know how the applying of cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) was type through domino card media to affected the learning chemistry achievement of XI-MIA student in MAN 4 Aceh Besar. Instruments used i.e. research instruments and data instruments. Data collection techniques are observation, test results, and questionnaires. Based on the objectives and the results of data analysis in this study, shown that the teacher activity in managing learning for each cycle was in very good category. Student activity at the time of applying the cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type through domino card media on petroleum material was active. Students' learning achievement after the implementation of Cycle I, cycle II and final test respectively was about 61.29%, 90.32% and 93.55%. Student response to the application of cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) through domino card media on petroleum material was positive.

Abstract

Learning is an activity involving teachers and students. The success of teaching and learning process are influenced by student learning motivation. The existence of student learning motivation will give spirit and learning becomes more focused for students. Building intrinsic motivation in students will be better than extrinsic motivation. By students' intrinsic motivation to learn because of the sincerity of their hearts, the positive results of learning efforts that will shown. However, extrinsic motivation also determines the interest of students in learning. When students have a desire to learn but the extrinsic factors do not support, the student will lose his spirits. Both intrinsic and extrinsic factors can determine the success of students in the learning process. Motivation is an energy change within the person characterized by effective arausal and antisipatory goal reaction. Motivation will push, move and direct students to learn. Students who have a high learning motivation will do activities in acquiring knowledge. Motivation will arouse the interest of students to learn. Motivation has the function of which is to (1) encourage students to move in order to get maximum results, and (2) as referring to carry out activities in achieving the objectives specific objectives. Motivation has traits include: resilient in the face of adversity, diligently not easily bored and others. The existence of the learning motivation greatly affected the success of the learning process. Students can reach a good study achievements on him when there is motivation to learn. Therefore the motivation has a very important position in learning.

Abstract

Based on the observation in SMPN 1 Sukamakmur shown that students VIII were not enough understand in learning chemical matter in life, obstacles of students in studying chemistry based on difficulty in understanding the terms in the science of chemistry. This research aims to understand the influence of PBL learning model on students activities, Study results of students and students response against the implementation of PBL learning to the chemicals matter in daily life of class VIII in SMPN 1 Sukamakmur Aceh Besar. The research was apparent experiment (a quasi experiment) by using one group pretest and posttest design. Data collection were techniques used observation technique were multiple choice test shaped and survey. Data observation and response analyzed by using technique percentage, while test results were analyzed by t-test. The result of student learning activity percentage were about 94% with good criteria and the lowest value of 78 % but it is still on the criteria good. Study results students increased afterwards applied PBL learning model of t-test was obtained tcount > ttable was 20,42 > 2,08. Students response were very are interesting in PBL model by the results was of the percentage who answered “yes” was 92,1% and answers “not” was 7,9%.

Abstract

Obeservation results indicated that students have difficulty of explaining chemical phenomena in league level representations (macroscopic, symbolic, and submicroscopic levels). The aim of the study was to obtain the information related to the influence of the use of teaching materials based on multi-level representation of the ability to solve the problem of solution materials of MAN students in Pidie Jaya. The teaching material contained of macroscopic, symbolic, and submicroscopic levels. Type this of research was quasi experiment which was tested in MAN Pidie Jaya. The study was conducted for four months through two stages namely: (1) observasion, (2) implementation. Implementation was carried out by using one-group pre-test design and post-test design. Instruments used consist of; observation sheets, note sheets of learning constraints, assessment and problem solving and representation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The data were obtained them analyzed descriptively. The results showed: (1) the ability chemical problem solving in MAN Ulim Pidie Jaya was increased from the average of 43 pre-test to 73 in post-test result this means that the teaching materials based on multi level representation used can train the ability to solve problem the solution, (2) the profile of students' ability movement during the learning process using teaching materials based on multi level representation increased at one to three meetings, this happened because the fourth meeting material characteristic was more complex, (3) based on student response to the using of teaching materials based on multi level representation was very helpful in training solve chemical problems of solution.

Abstract

The instructional strategy applied in learning and appropriate subject matter of Chemistry taught will be able to provide convenience for students in understanding the subject matter of Chemistry, so that learning experience will be more meaningful for students. One of the existing learning strategies is metacognition which is the students' knowledge related to their weaknesses and strengths in learning and self-regulation during learning activities such as planning, process arrangement, evaluation, commitment, minimization, procedure and conditioning. Students who have various dimensions of high metacognition will try to learn various ways to make it easy for them that learning activities are easy and fun to achieve high learning results. Thus, there is a correlation between the metacognition of students in learning with efforts to improve student learning outcomes in Chemistry subjects. The increasing of appliying various dimensions of students metacognition in learning will have an impact on improving student learning outcomes in Chemistry subjects. In the fact, the student who use / apply their metacogical dimensions in learning Chemistry subjects, students will be happy, eager and easy in learning Chemistry subjects, able to assess and predict their ability in learning Chemistry subjects process that ultimately students can achieve high learning outcomes in Chemistry subjects.
