Abstract

AbstractGeneral microbiology course provide comprehensive introduction to fundamental aspects of microbial world so that student gain an insight into theory, practices and able to demonstrate in the term of knowledge skills and values to overcome problem in the environment. Therefore student should have psychomotor skill as well as cognitive. The present study aimed to identify and describe the psychomotor skills of Pre Service Biology Teacher through microorganism cultivation experiment in the laboratoratory. Data were collected from 94 Pre Service Biology Teacher who enrolled General microbiology course in the even semester of academic year 2016-2017 using psychomotor skill observation sheet. Six dimensions observed: perception, set, guided response, mechanism, adaptation and originalation. Findings indicated that student psychomotor skills was categorized as good with the value of 81,2%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the quality of water by using water physics-chemical parameters and BMWP-ASPT index in Besar River Banjarbaru City.  Determination of water quality was using macroinvertebrate. Organisms found then calculated by BMWP-ASPT scoring, based on the score of tolerance on each of family types.  The water  quality measurement of Besar River was determined by  using physics-chemical parameters, diversity index, dominance, and ASPT BMWP score.  The water quality of  Besar River Banjarbaru based on physics-chemical factors tends to decrease from the upstream to downstream, the Besar River’s water quality based on the diversity of macroinvertebrates was moderate-severe.  And based on the BMWP-ASPT score of the macroinvertebrate, both of sampling 1 and 2 were polluted with the category of medium and severe dirty.  In general, the decreasing of water quality of  Besar  River was due to anthropogenic activities, so that the intolerant macroinvertebrates could not survive in polluted waters while the tolerant ones can adapt well to the polluted aquatic environment.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the feasibility of the development of student’s multiple intelligence-oriented learning instrument on the cells concept in grade XI senior high school. Research and Development (R & D) method was conducted in this research. This research was developed four components in the cell concept learning instrument that included syllabus, lesson plan, student’s worksheet, and assessment instrument. From the four components were obtained an average score of 93.76% with a decent category. The time limited test was conducted in July-August 2016, at SMAN 4 Kota Serang and SMA Prisma Sanjaya Kota Serang. Based on students' responses as a user, it was obtained the value of 79.78% with a fair category. Based on the results of expert test and limited test scale, the learning instrument development of multiple intelligences learning-oriented can be applied for the learning process in the cell concept for grade XI in senior high school.

Abstract

AbstractLocal potency-based learning content is important as an effort to reveal local potentials in a region, further to gain  students’s knowledge and environmental awareness in managing and using the natural resourches for society welfare. Banten Province is known has high biodiversity, including lichen. Lichen is a mutualism symbiotic association between a fungus and algae, which has important role in environment, known as indicators of pollution, and also contribute in biological weathering. This study aim to determine the diversity of Lichen at Tunda Island, one of the 17 islands in Serang, Banten Province, to be applied as biodiversity content on local potency-based teaching learning at school. The research method used were exploration to know the diversity of lichen, and research and development (R & D) method to analyze learning content.  Based on the exploration results found 21 species of Lichen on Tunda Island, consists of 16 species of crustose and 5 species of foliose. The lichen diversity index (H ') at three research stations, ranged 0.629 to 1.067, including low to moderate. These contents were developed for genetic-level biodiversity and species-level biodiversity learning concept.

Abstract

This study was aimed to describe and explain (1) differences of students’ learning achievement using argument-based-science-textbook and curriculum 2013-science-textbook for junior high school. Type of the study was quasi experiment with nonequivalent pretest-postest control group design. Population of the study was the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja having 11classes. Samples of the study were chosen by cluster random sampling techniques. The sampling produced two parallel classes, that was class VIIA1 and VIIA2 and both were lotteried to determinea control and an experimental class.Results of the lottery were class VIIA1 as the control class, whereas class VIIA2 as the experimental class. The experimental class was taught using argument-based-science textbook, whereas the control class was taught using curriculum 2013-science-textbook. Results of the study showed that the average score of learning achievement of the experimental class was significant difference from the average score of learning achievement of the control class. From the average scores, it could be concluded that the average score of learning achievement of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh field trip dengan pemanfaatan rumpon buatan terhadap keterampilan proses sains (KPS) dan sikap ilmiah siswa di SMP Satu Atap Pulau Tunda, Kecamatan Tirtayasa, Kabupaten Serang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian weak experiment, karena tidak adanya kelas kontrol. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMP Satu Atap Pulau Tunda yang dipilih secara purposive sampling, karena kelas X hanya ada satu kelas saja. Data diperoleh dari soal KPS, lembar observasi KPS dan sikap ilmiah selama pembelajaran, dan lembar wawancara. Hasil uji T menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0.00 < 0.05, menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh metode field trip dengan pemanfaatan rumpon buatan terhadap keterampilan proses sains (KPS) dan sikap ilmiah siswa di SMP Satu Atap Pulau Tunda. Aspek KPS yang memiliki persentase tinggi yaitu menggunakan alat dan bahan, dan interpretasi. Sikap ilmiah yang tertinggi yaitu rasa ingin tahu. Saran dari hasil penelitian ini agar KPS dan sikap ilmiah siswa dapat ditingkatkan lagi yaitu dengan cara kepala sekolah serta pemerintah daerah  berperan serta untuk memberikan  pelatihan bagi guru terkait model pembelajaran, KPS, dan sikap ilmiah.

Abstract

Juhut village is the agribusiness center of Sheep Integrated Village, as the field laboratory, and the locus of Banten Provincial Innovation System.Many programs provided at the site, ranging from seedlings, funding, and community assistance. However, the environmental conditions that support these activities and the potential for landslides has not been widely studied yet. Therefore, identification of soil fertility status and potential landslides disaster hazard in the Juhut Village needs to be done. The survey was conducted on July-October 2015 by taking soil samples at six locations around Juhut Village: Kadu Salak, Kadu Limus, Canggoang, Cinyurup, Sanim, and Balangendong. Soil samples were analyzed at the Laboratory of Land Resources Research and Development, Ministry Agricultural in Bogor. Potential landslides were analyzed using RBI Map of Indonesia overlied by Google Earth using Watershed Modeling System software, and the category is determined according Kusratmoko (2002). Based on the results of the study note that soil fertility in  the Juhut Village of Pandeglang range of low to high. Zoning areas vulnerable to landslides in the area juhut showed mostly a temperate zone with detailed granularity: landslide zonation high, medium, and low respectively covering 245.3, 707.1 and 126.1 hectares. High avalanche zones are located mainly in the central region and the northwest region, which is part slopes of Mount Karang. High avalanche zones are located mainly in the region of Central and Northwest region, which is part slopes of Mount Karang. High landslide zone area is in forest areas, but also there are some places that are on land use mixed garden, farm / field. Efforts need to be done at high risk zone is to increase community capacity by providing The landslide dissaster dissemination and training, and application LEWS (Land Slide Early Warning System). While in the area of agribusiness centers of sheep and goats for a very open area planting perennials.
