Abstract

This study aims to improve the collaboration skills of third-grade students at SD N Ledok 01 Salatiga by applying the Project Based Learning (PjBL) Model. The type of this research is a collaborative classroom action research (PTKK). The subject of this research were 26 third-grade students. This study uses a spiral spin model design developed by Kemmis and Mc Taggart. This research was conducted in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 3 stages, namely the planning stage, the implementation and observation stage, also the reflection stage. This research is successful if it achieves success indicators<80%. Data collection techniques are in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) Model can increase collaboration skills occurring in each cycle which has been shown that students can interact with group mates while doing assignments, which is shown in the pre-cycle of 0%, cycle I of 54%, and cycle II by 81%. Mutual assistance has increased as shown in the pre-cycle of 0%, cycle I of 62%, and cycle II of 85%. Student’s ability to be responsible increased as shown in the pre-cycle of 0%, cycle I of 58%, and cycle II of 85%.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of digital flipbook-based science e-modules to improve science literacy of junior high school students. This form of development research, which was conducted at SMP Negeri 7 Jember with a total of 31 students in class VIII F, employed the ADDIE paradigm (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). Interviews, observations, questionnaires, tests, and documentation are all used as data gathering strategies. Research instruments include validation sheets, learning implementation observation sheets, pre-test and post-test inquiries, and student response questionnaire sheets. With a very valid category, the product validity values are 88%. Results for product practicality during learning are 94% in the category of being highly practical. Based on a review of the N-gain, product efficacy results fell into the high category at 0.84, and the findings of the student response questionnaire fell into the good area at 76%. The results of this research indicate that the developed digital flipbook-based Science e-module is valid, practical, effective, and appropriate for improving students' science literacy in science learning in junior high schools.

Abstract

This research aims to discuss learning models that can help teachers foster students' creativity. Creativity is one of the skills that a person needs in his life, and creativity can develop because it is not something static, so it is important to provide the right stimulus. This research uses a literature study. The literature used is in the form of publications collected from the Web of Science and Scopus databases in the period 2014–2023. The keywords used were "creativity" AND "learning model". From these keywords, 588 articles were obtained, which were then filtered, and 8 articles were selected. The results of the article review Some of the learning models obtained are as follows: cooperative learning, project-based learning (PjBL), problem-based learning (PBL), guided inquiry learning model, SSCS learning model, and science-entrepreneurship learning model. Students who are given a stimulus tend to have more abilities than students who are not given a stimulus, as well as creativity.

Abstract

This study was the first of the two-cycled action research. This study aimed at building teachers’ understanding of integrating local wisdom and culture content with Buddhism at Adhicitta Buddhist Sunday School, Suruh, Tengaran, and Susukan, as the basis of the implementation of local wisdom and culture-based Buddhist learning. The   first cycle of action research consisted of three stages, Look, Think, and Act. The data gathering technique employed interview, observation, and documentation. The data was analyzed through data condensation, data display, and drawing and verification conclusions. The results showed that the teachers at Adhicitta Buddhist Sunday School, Suruh, Tengaran, and Susukan had not completely understood how to integrate local wisdom and culture content with Buddhism. The human resources limitation and the high demand of the Buddhist Sunday School Curriculum contributed as the main factors of the teachers’ poor understanding. Based on the evaluation of the latest step of Act, the next cycle focused on the intensive training towards the teachers at Adhicitta Buddhist Sunday School, Suruh, Tengaran, and Susukan in designing local wisdom and culture-based Buddhist lesson plans.

Abstract

Leadership is the ability of an individual who holds a position and capacity to lead. Logically, a leader who leads must have others to lead and/or who will be led. Leadership can be examined from two aspects, namely religious/spiritual leadership and secular/natural leadership. The leadership to be addressed in this research is Christian Leadership with an emphasis on Servant Leadership. The aim of this research is to explore the phenomenon of Servant Leadership and explain its impact on spiritual growth. In this case, the role of Servant Leadership to be explored is the Servant Leadership of the Principal of SMP Dian Harapan Holland Village Manado, and its impact on the spiritual growth of fresh graduate teachers as individuals or followers who are led, based on a case study conducted on an object and subject of research. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. From the results of this research, it was found that fresh graduate teachers with less than one year of teaching experience can see, experience, and feel the Servant Leadership of the Principal of SMP Dian Harapan Holland Village Manado, which is considered as a humble person, through relationships, interactions, and communication with the Principal. The role of the Servant Leadership of the Principal is also perceived by fresh graduate teachers as helpful in their spiritual formation through mentoring, encouragement, and spiritual activities at school.

Abstract

This research is intended to determine the parenting patterns used by parents in shaping the disciplinary character of class V students at Tegalmulyo State Elementary School. This research was conducted using a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique uses Miles and Huberman's steps which include data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions/data verification. The results of the research show that fifth grade students at State Elementary School Tegalmulyo are disciplined in carrying out activities at home and at school, although there are still some violations, but the percentage is relatively small. Then the parenting pattern used by parents of class V students at State Elementary School Tegalmulyo to shape the students' disciplinary character is a democratic parenting pattern based on existing characteristics. Apart from factors from parents and oneself, schools also have an important role in shaping student discipline. If parents will provide advice, direction and role models to form student discipline, then the school will provide it through action directions and also rules of conduct which contain obligations, prohibitions, sanctions and also rewards.

Abstract

Studi ini mengkaji tren penelitian STEAM Education selama lima tahun terakhir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Siapa penulis paling produktif; (2) Afiliasi paling produktif; (3) Negara paling produktif; (4) Visualisasi tren penelitian STEAM; dan (5) Topik penelitian masa depan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Bibliometrik. Basis data Scopus digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data, yang kemudian diubah menjadi RIS. Peneliti melakukan analisis data dengan perangkat lunak Rstudio, bibliometrix, dan VosViewer. Berdasarkan analisis, jumlah penelitian tentang STEAM mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dari tahun 2018 hingga tahun 2022. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa STEAM Education berdampak besar pada bidang pendidikan, khususnya pembelajaran. Selain itu, diketahui bahwa penelitian STEAM telah banyak dipelajari di Asia, khususnya di China. Namun, berdasarkan analisis bibliometrix menunjukkan bahwa Korea Selatan menjadi negara yang paling banyak disitasi internasional terkait penelitian pendekatan STEAM. Berdasarkan temuan juga menunjukkan bahwa menghubungkan Pendidikan STEAM dengan budaya lokal memiliki peluang penelitian di masa depan dalam pendidikan STEAM. Oleh karena itu, implikasi pada penelitian ini menharapkan adanya penelitian lebih lanjut terkait implementasi pendekatan STEAM terintegrasi budaya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan siswa.

Abstract

Membaca adalah sebuah aktivitas penting untuk mengakses informasi. Ungkapan yang sering terdengar, "membaca adalah jendela dunia," menekankan pentingnya membaca sebagai cara untuk memahami dunia. Berdasarkan hal ini, keterampilan membaca sangat penting, dan SQ3R merupakan salah satu pilihan metode yang berpotensi meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dalam membaca. Di tingkat sekolah dasar, penggunaan metode ini masih terbatas, sebagaimana terjadi di kelas 4 SD Gema Kasih Yobel Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh implementasi metode SQ3R terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas 4 SD. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam kategori penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi-Experimental) dengan rancangan ekuivalen pada kelompok kontrolnya. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data adalah tes tertulis. Uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan Uji Mann-Whitney setelah melalui uji normalitas dan homogenitas. Hasil pengolahan data penelitian menunjukkan Asymp.sig.(2-ekor) 0,02 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Berdasarkan data tersebut H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, artinya terdapat pengaruh metode SQ3R terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kelas 4 SD Gema Kasih Yobel Kupang.

Abstract

Kesulitan belajar yang dialami peserta didik sangat mengganggu proses belajar dan berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan belajar hingga perolehan prestasinya menjadi tidak optimal. Oleh karena itu, permasalahan peserta didik dalam belajar di SD perlu dibantu oleh guru kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang pelaksanaan diagnostik kesulitan belajar yang dilakukan guru, mata pelajaran yang dirasa sulit oleh peserta didik, jenis kesulitan belajar yang dialami oleh peserta didik, instrumen yang digunakan oleh guru dalam melakukan diagnosis kesulitan belajar, hambatan-hambatan yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam melakukan diagnosis kesulitan belajar, dan tindakan-tindakan guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini berupa penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah 23 guru SD yang tersebar di empat (4) kecamatan kota Salatiga, baik SD negeri maupun swasta. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan diagnosis kesulitan belajar peserta didik yang dilakukan guru pada peserta didik di SD. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa survey untuk pengumpulan data tentang pelaksanaan diagnosis kesulitan belajar peserta didik SD di kota Salatiga menggunakan angket dan wawancara untuk mengumpulkan data sebagai pelengkap data dari angket. Teknik analisis yang digunakan berupa analisis deskriptif kualitatif mengenai data yang sudah dikumpulkan melalui angket dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa semua guru yang menjadi subjek penelitian melakukan diagnostik kesulitan belajar. Di setiap sekolah selalu ada peserta didik yang mengalami kesulitan belajar. Kesulitan belajar yang dialami peserta didik lebih banyak yang berhubungan dengan kegiatan akademik. Instrumen yang digunakan guru dalam melakukan diagnostik kesulitan belajar pada umumnya guru menggunakan observasi dan tes hasil belajar, serta panduan wawancara. Pelaksanaan dianostik kesulitan belajar pada umumnya (dominan) dilakukan guru pada akhir pembelajaran, Kesulitan belajar yang dialami peserta didik di SD pada umumnya berupa mata pelajaran matematika dan Bahasa Indonesia. Dalam proses diagnostik kesulitan belajar, hampir semua guru melakukan identifikasi peserta didik yang diperkirakan mengalami kesulitan belajar, dan melakukan penentuan faktor faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar peserta didiknya. Bantuan yang dilakukan guru untuk menangani kesulitan belajar peserta didik pada umumnya berupa pendampingan belajar peserta didik dan memberi tambahan waktu belajar (les) pada peserta didik, serta memberi saran atau rujukan pada orangtua untuk berkonsultasi orang yang lebih ahli. Hambatan yang dihadapi guru dalam kesulitan belajar peserta didik yang paling banyak ditemui adalah guru merasa instrumen diagnostik kesulitan belajar peserta didik tidak tersedia secara lengkap, dan guru kelas merasa belum terampil menggunakan instrumen untuk mendiagnostik kesulitan belajar peserta didik Kata Kunci: Diagnostik Kesulitan Belajar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi siswakelas V Sekolah Dasar dengan menerapkan model Teams Games Tournament (TGT). Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang mengacu pada desain Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 siklus dengan tahapan :1) Perencanaan (planning); 2) Pelaksanaan tindakan dengan model TGT serta pengamatan (acting and observasing); 3) Refleksi pada setiap akhir siklus (reflecting). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi untuk menilai kolaborasi siswaserta dokumentasi. Intrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi keterampilan kolaborasi siswayang disesuaikan dengan indikator keterampilan kolaborasi menurut Greenstein. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif untuk mendeskripsikan data keterampilan kolaborasi peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya kenaikan jumlah siswadengan kategori keterampilan kolaborasi sangat tinggi dan tinggi yaitu pra siklus sebanyak 24%, siklus 1 meningkat menjadi 68% dan siklus 2 meningkat menjadi 88%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dapat meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi siswaSekolah Dasar. Oleh sebab itu itu, sebaiknya guru dapat menerapkan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT) untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berkolaborasi siswa yang dapat sarana peningkatan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar siswa.
