Abstract

The knowledge theory is an important discussion and the most important theme of these theories is about the source of knowledge, which received a broad debate in modern Western thought. It has become excessive because of its drawback behind the secular visions, in some sources, such as reason and sense, as well as marginalization of flaws in thought at all times and places. One of the ways to deal with this issue: promoting moderatism in ideas and thoughts that lead to justice and excellence. The research methodology is based on a combination of analytical, structural, and critical approaches. The results highlight the importance of finding sources of knowledge, there is no knowledge without sources, the importance of determining the scope work of each source, examining the sources through five aspects, which are information, logic, sense, persons, and intuition. By looking at the sources integrally, and that religion should become the source of knowledge because it comes from a divine revelation. Sources of knowledge that come from human will not be useful unless they are related to the light of revelation.

Abstract

Telah menjadi suatu Isu Global bahwa kualitas pendidikan tidak akan pernah melebihi kualitas guru. Karenanya, peningkatan kualitas guru harus menjadi prioritas utama setiap pihak yang berkepentingan akan kualitas pendidikan, termasuk pendidikan agama di sekolah. Atas dasar itulah, peningkatan kualitas guru PAI perlu menjadi prioritas setiap lembaga pendidikan yang mencetak calon-calon guru agama, salah satunya program studi Ilmu Pendidikan Agama Islam (IPAI) di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) sebagai bagian dari upaya peningkatan pendidikan agama di sekolah. Salah satu kompetensi yang perlu dimiliki guru PAI adalah kemampuan menerjemahkan Alquran. Terkait hal tersebut, tulisan ini secara khusus mendeskripsikan bagaimana implementasi metode tamyîz dalam perkuliahan Ulum Alquran di Prodi IPAI, UPI sebagai upaya membekali kemampuan menerjemahkan Alquran kepada para mahasiswa sebagai calon guru PAI. Metode Tamyîz merupakan metode inovatif dalam belajar bahasa Arab yang dikembangkan oleh Abaza, M.M. Sekaitan dengan hal tersebu, pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the application of e-learning in the learning process in the study program of PAI in UIN Raden Fatah, Palembang. This research is field research using a qualitative approach. The methods of data are observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. There are five aspects of implementing e-learning that is observed by assessing the perceptions of lecturers and students. The results of the study concluded that First, there are differences of views between lecturers and students about the application of e-learning, only some lecturers have sufficient knowledge about e-learning applications, on the contrary, most of the students understand the application of e-learning. In the aspect of ease of use of e-learning applications, some lecturers said that they had difficulties in implementing e-learning, whereas most of the students said that they are able to implement e-learning. The other three aspects; the aspect of component of e-learning features, the usefulness of it, both lecturers and students assessing the positive and relatively good assessment, while they assessed less optimal about facilities supporting it.

Abstract

This paper attempts to understand Nurcholish Madjid’s Islamic education reform. After the death of Nurcholish Madjid, his education appears as a significant human capital investment which might become the instrument which constantly keep Nurcholish Madjid’s legacies alive, developed, and disseminated through times. Apart from this fact, Nurcholish Madjid’s Islamic education reform has not been yet the main focus of previous researches. Focusing on Nurcholish Madjid’s Islamic education reform, this paper looks at the educational activities of Nurcholish Madjid mainly in IAIN-UIN Jakarta and Paramadina. In this regards, this paper investigates Nurcholish Madjid’s Islamic education reform and the contexts within which it was developed. This investigation provides an insight to the discussion of the subject which tries to answer the questions of what kind of ideas which were developed by Nurcholish Madjid to reform Islamic education in Indonesia; how he defined, interpreted, and applied the ideas for the development of Islamic education in Indonesia. Eventually this paper suggests that in teaching and understanding Islam, Nurcholish Madjid obviously treated Islam not only as a religion, but also as a historical, sociological, and anthropological phenomenon which must be studied in an open, democratic, participatory, pluralistic, and inclusive way.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi NU dalam mempertahankan arena Islam moderat di Indonesia. strategi ini digunakan oleh NU untuk mengantisipasi gerakan radikal berkeinginan untuk merebut arena Islam Indonesia. Hal ini dikarenakan NU telah memiliki legitimasi sebagai ormas moderat di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi observasi dengan melihat historisitas NU sebagai organisasi keagamaan dan pegulatanannya dalam arena Islam Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori strukturalisme genetik yang mencakup habitus, arena, modal, trajektori, dan strategi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa NU pada dasarnya memiliki modal untuk mempertahankan arena Islam moderat di Indonesia. Akumulasi modal tersebut kemudian dipertaruhkan dengan dua strategi, sehingga upaya untuk mempertahankan dan memperlebar kuasa dalam arena Islam di Indonesia memiliki peluang yang besar.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji bagaimana kedudukan dan peran perempuan Minangkabau berdasarkan adatnya dan Islam dalam hal: 1) waris; 2) pengambil keputusan dalam keluarga; 3) dalam mengurus anak-anak dan 4) di dalam menyelesaikan persoalan-persoalan yang ada di masyarakat. Melalui pendekatan analisis kualitatif dengan metode menganalisis data QDA didapatkan jawaban hasil kajian sebagai berikut: 1) perempuan di dalam Islam mendapatkan warisan separuh dari bagian anak laki-laki, sedangkan di dalam adat Minangkabau perempuan mendapatkan warisan dari harta pusaka nenek-moyang selain warisan dari harta kedua orang tuanya; 2) di dalam Islam perempuan dapat berperan di dalam pengambil keputusan dalam keluarga, sedangkan menurut adat Minangkabau pengambil keputusan dalam keluarga adalah perempuan; 3) di dalam Islam peran seorang ibu sangat besar dalam mendidik anak-anaknya, sedangkan menurut adat Minangkabau peran ibu sangat mutlak bahkan peran ayah dapat dikatakan hampir tidak ada; dan 4) di dalam Islam dimungkinkan perempuan berperan dalam sosial politik tanpa melupakan perannya di dalam keluarga, sedangkan di dalam adat Minangkabau Bundo Kanduang yang berperan sebagai aktor intelektual di dalam menyelesaikan berbagai persoalan.
