Abstract

Based on the data of Family Planning Field Officer in South Palu sub district in 2014, 10,138 women of childbearing age (WUS) were women aged ≥ 35 years old using women's method of contraception (MOW) as many as 439 women of childbearing age. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors associated with the use of contraceptive methods of women's surgery (MOW) in Kecamatan Palu Selatan. The design of this study is an analytical survey of cross sectional study approach. The population in this study were fertile couples aged ≥ 35 years amounted to 99 respondents. The analysis used in this research is univariate and bivariate analysis with chi-square test. The results of this study indicate that there is no correlation between knowledge with use of contraception method of operation of woman (MOW) with value p = 0,981 (p = 0,05), there is no correlation between education with use of contraception method operation woman (MOW) with value p = 0.604 (p = 0.05), there was a relationship between husband support and contraceptive use of female operation method (MOW) with p = 0,009 (p = 0,05). This research suggests that people can know and understand the usefulness in the use of contraceptive methods of women's surgery (MOW).Keywords              : Contraception, application of contraception Mow, method of women operation

Abstract

Malnutrition or acute malnutrition is the most severe form of chronic malnutrition, the presence or absence of oedeme or weight per age <-3 SD according to WHO growth standards. Malnutrition affects physical growth, morbidity, mortality, cognitive development, reproduction, and physical work capacity and its impact on human performance, and health. This study aims to determine risk factors in underfive children. Type of case control research. Malei Health Center Sub District Balaesang Tanjung. The study began in January 2017. Sampling technique with total sampling according to inclusion and exclusion criteria were 56 samples consisting of case and control. The result of bivariate analysis showed the level of energy intake (OR = 3,84, 95% CI 0,68-21,51), protein intake level (OR = 4,94; 95% CI 0,50-48,29) and history of disease infection (OR = 2.13; 95% CI 0.61-7.32) was significantly associated with poor nutrition. Low Birth Weight indicates the level of protein intake has a strong relationship with the risk of malnutrition. The level of energy intake, the level of protein intake and infectious diseases is a nutritional risk factor in infants. Keywords : Underfive Children, Risk Factor, Malnutrition

Abstract

Monitoring of marine sediments as an indicator of heavy metal mercury pollution in waters has been conducted. This study used an observational design with an Environmental Risk Analysis approach with the objective of knowing the concentration of mercury (Hg) heavy metals and the risk of metal contamination in marine sediments. Sediment sampling was conducted at 10 points in 5 (five) urban villages of Makassar City. The results showed that the highest mercury concentration was in Cambayya Village at 1.871 mg / kg and the lowest mercury concentration was in Lae-Lae Island Kelurahan at 1,550 mg / kg. In general, the content of heavy metals mercury in marine sediments in coastal areas of Makassar City has exceeded the threshold of 0.13 mg / kg with the enormous environmental risk occurring in coastal areas of Makassar City due to exposure to mercury metals, ranging from 11-22 under the risk category high HQ> 10.Keywords : Risk Analysis, Sea Sediments, Mercury

Abstract

Protection of Occupational Safety and Health given to workers is a preventive effort to prevent work accidents and occupational diseases. Occupational Safety and Health must be contained in the employment agreement, because Occupational Safety and Health is the normative right of the worker to be provided by the company. Research type using descriptive qualitative method. The results in this study are Occupational Safety and Health is important because it is closely related to the performance of employees and in turn affect the performance of the company. in fact there are companies that have not provided proper safety and health protection. In this study found the following problems: First, how the agreement is regulated in the legislation in Indonesia. Second, how the legal protection of Occupational Safety and Health according to the laws and regulations in Indonesia. Abstract

The rehabilitation centers BNN Tanah Merah incerease in rehabilitated drug users since 2013 from 5 people to 68 people in 2016. This study is intend to research is to determine correlation between a family situation with drugs relapse behavior to resident in Rehabilitation centers BNN Tanah Merah Samarinda. This research using Cross Sectional research design and the sampling technique used probability sampling with simple random sampling type.This research using a Chi Square statistic test. Based on the result, a good family situation respondents but still experience the relapse are 18.9% and a bad family situation respondents and still experience the relapse are 19,0%. Statistically obtained p-value 1.00 (p<0.05). it can be concluded that there is no correlation between a Family Situation with drugs relapse behavior to resident at Rehabilitation centers BNN Tanah Merah Samarinda.Keywords : Family situation, Relapse, Drugs, Resident.

Abstract

Environment sanitation, public and private communal latrines have been built in densely populated coastal areas with the aim to collect a means of bathing, washing, and toilet. The purpose of this research to determine the relationship of knowledge and attitudes about the use of communal latrines in fishermen settlement Kelurahan Teluk Kabung Selatan of Bungus Teluk Kabung District. Methods research is analytic with cross sectional design and the sample was of 150 people is the head of the family. The Korelasi statistical test indicated was known  to have a  significant correlation between knowledge society with the use of communal latrines and there is no correlation between people's education, revenue, and attitudes, to the use of Communal toilets. It  is necessary to raise awareness to make the most of available Communal Communal MCK by way of extension about its importance to utilize Communal MCK for self health and environmental health.Keywords            : Knowledge, Attitude, Utilization, Comunal MCK.

Abstract

Obesity is a serious problem for teenagers and a global pandemic as well as the biggest chronic health problem for both advanced and developing countries. The purpose of this study is to prove the effect of counseling on lifestyle modification on obesity prevention. Design of Quasy Experiment Study "with pre-test and post-test given to the control group and modifying counseling group. Technique sample by random sampling and with formula proportional random sampling. The result showed that there was a change of normal nutrient status but there was no significant effect of counseling to modify the lifestyle to good nutrition status in treatment group (ρ=0,107) and control group (ρ = 0,081), there was change of nutrition pattern and good nutrition but there was no significant effect of counseling to modify the lifestyle to diet and good nutrition in the treatment group (ρ=0,001) and control group (ρ=0,060), physical activity no change and meaningful influence of counseling to modify lifestyle both in treatment group and control group with value (ρ=0,59). Conclusion found that lifestyle modification counseling can give enough change to nutrition status of student, diet and nutritional intake. Keywords : Obesity, lifestyle modification counseling

Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) states that the clinical signs that develop rapidly due to focal or global brain function disorders due to a blockage or rupture of blood vessels in the brain that lasted for 24 hours or more.This study aims to determine the Family Support Relationship With Quality of Life on Stroke Occurrence at Poly Nerve General Hospital of Makassar Hajj Area 2017. The research design was observational with cross sectional approach. Sample amounted to 54 by using simple random sampling technique. The result of the research was obtained by informational support with x2 count (4,352)> x2 table (3,841), emotional support p value (0,751)> 0,05, instrumental support with p value (0,346)> 0,05, award support with value x2 count (5,178)> x2 table (3,841). Based on the results of the study, the conclusion of this study found that there is a relationship of informational support and awards support, While emotional support and instrumental support is not associated with Quality of Life stroke incidence. This study suggests to families to provide more support to patients so as to improve the quality of life.Keywords           : Family Support and Quality of Life (QOL)

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a severe and potentially lethal dengue virus infection. DHF control measures can be performed on adult mosquitoes or in larvae. Controlling the larval stage can be done by cutting the chain of transmission of dengue disease through containers that made Aedes aegypti mosquitoes laying and breeding. This study aims to determine the preferred container characteristics of larva Aedes aegypti in the work area of Puskesmas Bulili, South Palu District. This research will be carried out in the work area of Puskes Puskesmas Public Health Center by using spot survey method by observing all containers potentially become Aedes aegypti larvae breeding place in research location. The variables under study will be presented in descriptive form by describing the environmental characteristics of containers preferred by Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae ranging from type, base material and container location. The results showed that the type of container favored by Aedes aegypti mosquitoes is the type of bathtub with a base material made of plastic and the location of the container inside the community house.Keywords : DHF, Container, Aedes aegypti

Abstract

In Indonesia, the problem of Chronic Energy Deficiency in pregnant women is still very high at 46.6% in 2014 according to RISKESDAS. Similarly in Kabupaten Gorontalo the prevalence rate of Chronic Energy Deficiency in pregnant women in 2014 reached 14.4%. So that requires the attention of the government to overcome it. This study aims to identify SEZ problems in pregnant women and determine the policy strategy and steps taken by the government of Gorontalo Regency in overcoming SEZ problems in pregnant women. The research method used is qualitative research with Ethnography approach. Data were collected by in-depth interviews with Head of Health Division of Mother of Child of Gorontalo District Health Office, Head of Tilote and Pulubala Health Center and village midwife in two puskesmas. The result of interview shows that the main cause of SEZ occurrence in pregnant women is pregnant women's diet, behavior that is still lacking in maintaining health, low family income, knowledge and education which is still low, and distance of pregnant mother less than 2 years. Efforts that have been made Dinas Kesehatan Kab. Gorontalo in tackling the problem of KEK in pregnant mother that is by existence of Program of First Life Day (HPK) with supplementary feeding (Fertilizer), milk and FE tablet to prevent anemia and keep doing Information Communication and Education to pregnant mother, Family and Community to keep maintain a good nutrition intake, maintain a healthy lifestyle and improve health services to the community.Keywords : Government policy; KEK; pregnant mother
