Abstract

Familiarize yourself observing breast awareness is a part of a womans body. In this way, even the smallest defects which can be found and active measures for treatment can be started as early as possible. Method: The research design was pre eksperimental design. With the approach of one group pretest-posttest design. The sample are 100 student of SMKN 3 Blitar City, it was choosen using simple random sampling technique. The data was collected by questionnaire. Result : Based on statistical tests Paired T Test obtained sig = 0.000. This shows 0.000 <0.05 that the presence of the above found that the pvalue (0,000) <0.05, it can be concluded that there are significant health education on the attitudes of young women. Discussion : Young women more active to increase the knowledge by obtaining information about reproductive health care, especially on the breast it self.

Abstract

Caring can be seen through the attitude and action that are characteristic of the behavior. As the health care service, caring so important for patient. Patient satisfaction is indicator of quality insurance of hospital. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of caring behavior of nurse with patient satisfaction in VCT clinic Gambiran hospital with Watson theory approach. Methode: Research study was analytic corelational design. Research samples was 50 of patient at VCT clinic Gambiran hospital. Data collected at July to September 2014 by using questionnaire and proceeded by Spearman Rho test. The result of this study was that caring behavior nurse correlated with patient satisfaction with p-value=0,000. According the result of this study are expected to be the input for hospitals to improve quality of service by apply minimum standart service that are caring behavior.

Abstract

Many postpartum mothers in Indonesia can not be exclusively breastfed their babies because the breast milk could not be produced smoothly. This is due to postpartum mothers often having experience emotional disturbances which inhibit the release of oxytocin and milk. Breasfeeding father is an active role and involvement of the husband to give moral and emotional support in breastfeeding to release chemical reflexes to produce milk. This research aims to find out the effect of the application of breastfeeding-father to breast milk production. This research was one group time series design. The population of this research was all of normal deliveries of postpartum mothers in puerperal room in Mardi Waluyo Blitar Hospital. The samples selected based on writers for 30 amount people that will be measured their milk production,  breastfeeding  and  the  application  of  breastfeeding  Father,  then  was  given counseling about breastfeeding father and asked to implement it. The data was analized using chi-square test to figure out the difference of breastmilk production between groups applying breastfeeding father and the group did not. The results showed there was differences of breast milk production between groups that applying breastfeeding father and the group did not. So the breastfeeding father could apply the breastfeeding postpartum mothers to increase the breast milk production.

Abstract

Sleep is an essential need that must be met, especially in the development phase since brain and body development will occur during sleep. Thus, sleep disturbance is a problem that will cause adverse effects on growth and development, especially for babies. Sleep quality for babies can be improved by providing baby massage on a regular basis. The purpose of this study was to prove whether there were differences in sleep quality before and after the massage in babies aged 3-4 months in Gelatik and Nuri IHC (Integrated Health Center) of Tanjungunggat Village of Tanjungpinang Municipality. Design: This was a Quasi Experiment study with a pretest-posttest method. The sample consisted of 17 respondents selected by purposive sampling technique. The statistical test used in this study was a dependent t-test with a significance level of 0.05.Result: The results showed that there was no significant difference between baby sleep duration before and after the massage (p = 0.414). However, there was significant difference between the frequency of waking up before and after the massage (p = 0.001) and there was a significant difference between the duration of waking up before and after the massage (p = 0.046. Discuss: Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that mothers should improve their knowledge on the importance of baby massage provided by health professionals and the health professionals should provide and demonstrate clear, complete and sustained information to the mothers and other related parties surrounding the IHC.

Abstract

Indonesian peoples is a multicultural society. Each region has a distinct culture that is embraced by the trust from the previous generation ( Tommey and Alligood ,2006) . Based on a preliminary study of 20 post partum mothers, there are 17 people did not want to eat chicken dishes, meat and eggs for fear of the seams are not cured and itching . Protein is needed in the process of wound healing episiotomy and in breastfed infants, these conditions need to be an intervention . The purpose of this study was to determine the effect mother class of pregnant women to the knowledge, attitudes and behavior of post partum continence. Method: Research design was pretest and posttest nonequivalent control group with a sample of 40 people, who were divided into 20 groups and 20 controls of the treatment group. Sampling technique by using consecutive. The treatment group got mother class while the control group got health education as usual in health centers. In both groups was measured knowledge , attitudes , and behaviors " post partum continence”. Results: The result of this study showed that on paired t test p = 0.000, that mean at treatment group change on knowledge before and after mother class. On control group showed that not change in knowledge with paired t test p = 0.083. In indepedent  t test p = 0.000 there is a difference of knowledge between treatment groups and control groups. Paired t test p = 0.000 at the attitude shown that there is a change in attitude before and after treatment. In control group paired t test p = 0.163 indicates that there is no change in attitude. Independent t test p = 0.000 shows that there are differences in attitudes between the treatment and control groups . Chi-square test p = 0.000 on the behavior of incontinence, there are differences in the proportion of incontinence behavior between the treatment and control groups. Discussion:The research recommended mother class intervention for enhance knowledge, attitude and behavior for pregnant women of post partum incontinence culture.

Abstract

Cholesterol is needed to stabilize the double layer ( bilayer ) of phospholipids in the membrane . Cholesterol is also a precursor of steroid hormones . High cholesterol levels can cause need to watch out for deep vein thrombosis , especially when high LDL levels . Control of cholesterol in the body is absolutely necessary to regulate the levels of fat consumed each day . Carrots ( Daucus Carota ) as a source of fiber and antioxidants ( carotenoids , polyphenols and vitamin C ) that contribute to protection against cardiovascular disease . Raw carrots have tough cell walls so that less than 25 % of beta - carotene is converted to vitamin A. However, the cooking process can dissolve cellulose by breaking down the cell wall so as to facilitate absorption . The purpose of research to determine the speed difference between the cholesterol-lowering treatment with ripe raw carrots .This study used a true experimental design with control. White rat ( Rattus norvegicus ) were given a high cholesterol diet is used as experimental animals were divided into a control group and the treatment group . The treatment group were treated raw and cooked carrots . Simvastatin for the control group . Incubation 8 weeks to determine changes in cholesterol levels . Data were analyzed using parametric statistical test Kruskal Wallis test .The results showed no differences at all cholesterol-lowering treatment . Allegedly content of β -carotene in carrots is low . In a variety of carotenoid compounds , β -carotene will have lower antioxidant activity . Pectin also suffered damage to the heating activity . It is necessary to further test of the difference in the treatment of raw and cooked

Abstract

With the growing elderly person, they will decline, especially in the physical abilities that can lead to a reducyion in the role of spiritual. The purpose of the research is to describe the spiritual needs of elderly with Immobility in UPT PSLU Blitar in Tulungagung. Method: The research design was description design. The population in this research is all elderly in UPT PSLU Blitar in Tulungagung as many as 80 people and great samples taken is as many as 29 people using total sampling technique. Data was collected by questionnaire. Result : The results of this research show that 55% elderly have a good spiritual, 14% quite, and 31% elderly have a less spiritual. Elderly are a vulnerable group of physical and mental deterioration caused various problems one spiritual. Discussion : Recommendations from the study are expected need for discipline in the religious guidance, especially in the elderly with immobility in UPT PSLU Blitar in Tulungagung.

Abstract

Health education is the educational activities carried out by way of conveying a message, put faith, so that people are not only aware of, know and understand, but also willing and able to perform a suggestion related to health, for the elderly, the risk of degrading is closely related with the aging process among other circulatory disorders such as hypertension, vascular disorders, joint disorders such as osteoporosis. Nowadays, the elderly enthusiasm in Posyandu Lansia has not been going well. It was proven that there were 63 elderly in Tulungrejo did not join Posyandu. Method: The research Design was pre-experimental using one group pretest-posttest approach. The subjects of this study was 75 respondents using the total sampling technique. The sample was the elderly of Bendogerit village. Result : With a significance level of <0.0001 showed that there was an effect in before and after treatment by providing health education for the elderly to visit Posyandu Lansia. Discussion : The need for socialization is much needed in the elderly, it can also be a motivation for them to visit Posyandu Lansia.

Abstract

Asthma bronchiale that occurs in children will have an impact on daily activities. Based on the registers data of childhood asthma in children clinic Mardi Waluyo BlitarHospital January - June 2012 amounted to 114 children , with 57 new cases of asthma children and 57 children an old case that repeated treatment. This suggests that the asthma control level in  partially controlled and uncontrolled . The purpose of this study was to analyze relationship between environmental factors with the asthma control level children who went to Pediatric Clinic Mardi Waluyo Blitar Hospital.Method: Research design was cross-sectional , using purposive sampling techniques obtained a sample of 32 respondents. Data collection was conducted in October 2012 using a questionnaire Childhood Asthma Control Test ( C - ACT ) . Descriptive data analysis and statistical analysis using the Spearman Rank test . The results showed that Spearman Rho test with p-value= 0.025 , which means there is a relationship between environmental factors with the level of control of childhood asthma. Discussion:Environmental factors stay near the farm, the family members who smoke , have pets is a precipitating factor of asthma . Exposure to environmental factors can cause a level of uncontrolled asthma. It is expected that health workers can provide education to families and patients on the control of environmental factors to improve the level of asthma control.

Abstract

Adolescence is a stage in human life which is often referred to as puberty. And of the various characteristics of puberty, menarche is a fundamental difference between pubertal male and female puberty. Method: The research design was pre eksperimental design. With the approach of one group pretest-posttest design. The sample are 100 student of SMPN 1 Blitar City, it was choosen using simple random sampling technique. The data was collected by questionnaire. Result : Based on statistical tests Wilcoxon sign rank test obtained sig = 0.000. This shows 0.000 <0.05 that the presence of the above found that the pvalue (0,000) <0.05, it can be concluded that there are significant health promotion on the attitudes of young women. Discussion : Young women more active to increase the knowledge by obtaining information about reproductive health care, especially about mensruation.
