Abstract

Drinking tea in Indonesia according to the literature, culture and history has a habit and populist. But in statistical data consumption rate is still low (0.2 kg / capita / year) compared with the sequence as a producer of tea in the world's fifth largest. From a business standpoint it can be seen not many restaurants that offer the main dish of tea, different things with coffee. Among the existing reality, tea culture has been attempted by a restaurant in Jakarta and also in Bogor, West Java, with the concept of on-site cafe and elite with a market share above Based Social Class (Jakarta) and in Bogor with shop concepts and outlets established in complex with college students and consumers in the mall with a market share of all ages. At the restaurant in Jakarta, in the initial conditions of business development a reality more coffee than tea, this restaurant is able to bring in a 20/2-hour or 70 person / day. In Bogor, in the shop in the complex could be the arrival of the college day about 60 people, while at the mall about 25 per day. The phenomenon that happens to be very interesting when examined in terms of consumer behavior in order to make a cup of tea as a culture among Based Social Class / urban and lower classes, so as to increase the prestige of the tea itself, and can be part of a culinary tour of Indonesia

Abstract

Various studies have been conducted to see how the job satisfaction of employees can be affected by many variables such as motivation and leadership. The problem that occurs is that the level of employee satisfaction greatly affect its performance in service to consumers. For those reasons, job satisfaction was found to be significant and should be antecendent constituent variables such as leadership, motivation and communication. This study aims to model the effect of leadership, motivation and communication on the level of employee satisfaction. This research was conducted in two (2) phases. First performed in two 4 and 5 star hotels in Jakarta, the second phase will be carried out in two-star hotels 3 and 2. This distinction aims to get results if the employee satisfaction in terms of leadership, motivation and communication will be the same or different in the hotel with star category different. The method used descriptive correlational, to test four hypotheses model builders. Sample withdrawal method by accident (accidental sampling) is used to obtain data from seperangat questions to test constructs built. Analysis used structural equation modeling with the help of software Lisrell. The relationship of service quality and job satisfaction resulted in a strong relationship of 0.622 , it indicates that employees are satisfied to work so as to provide a quality service for hotel guests .

Abstract

But ironic if we look at it, why still in rural areas community, still just coming problems hunger, poverty, lost identity and so on, even a lot of which go from village because assume village he live in not were given hope for the future. Problems these problems are real the and trickling in almost all village in indonesian.This, apparently have many provide a to us how to village dioah and managed, because of that village can give hope and welfare for their citizens. The concept of the independence can be realized with a pattern development of backward, with model of development tourist village, here the community called to collectively make a notion how showing potential for many fields including tourism, without damaging and reduce the value of the value local knowledge owned. The outcome of several explained the study a lot of models tourist village, as: tourist village themes culture, tourist village themes potential nature, until tourist village of a religious nature, which some study it reduce on a explaining how village managed in a communal with synchronize with many sides such as; government and private, to shoulder - before build model of development tourist village appropriate to identity the village community. Abstract

Setiap pemimpin memiliki karaketeristik tersendiri dalam menghadapi karyawannya. Namun untuk mempertahankan karyawan di suatu perusahaan sangatlah sulit, diperlukan tingkat loyalitas yang tertanam dari diri karyawan tersebut agar mereka dapat bertahan di perusahaan itu.Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gaya kepemimpinan dan loyalitas karyawan Avantie CanCook, serta mengetahui ada atau tidaknya hubungan antara gaya kepemimpinan dan loyalitas karyawan serta besar pengaruhnya. Adapun bermanfaat pula untuk memperkaya pengetahuan mengenai gaya kepemimpinan dan loyalitas kerja.Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode korelasional untuk melihat hubungan antara gaya kepemimpinan dan loyalitas karyawan. Pengumpulan data primer diperoleh melaluikuesione, wawancara, serta observasi lapangan.Hasil pnelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang rendah (nilai korelasi 0,31) atas pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan terhadap loyalitas karyawan Avantie Can Cook, dengan nilaipengaruh sebesa 9,6%. Pengaruh lain terhadap loyalitas karyawan sebesar 90,4% dipengaruhi oleh hal-hal lain diluar faktor gaya kepemimpinan

Abstract

The Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia has been supervising four tourismhigher schools (with two additional tourism higher schools) to produce human resources in the tourism and hospitality industry. For this reason, there should be good synergy between the tourism higher school and the regional board of tourism particularly if they are located in the same destination. Nevertheless, there is no empirical data concerning how the regional board of tourism and the tourism higher school collaborate in developing the regional tourism. This research aims at examining the partnership between the regional government and the tourism educational institution as well as proposing recommendation in strengthening synergy between the two institutions. By implementing qualitative research in April 2016 through interviews to staffs in the Tourism Board of Pangkep Regency of South Sulawesi and the Tourism Polytechnic of Makassar, this research reveals that partnership has been implemented by Bandung Tourism Institute and the Tourism Board of Pangkep Regency.This fact arises question on the role of Makassar Tourism Polytechnic in building synergy with the regional government particularly in the eastern part of Indonesia. Thus, it is recommended that partnership should be strengthened through formal and informal tourism activities guided by the Tourism Polytechnic of Makassar. Education and training in tourism for staff is required to support the partnership

Abstract

Tourism is a fast growing industry around the globe, including in Indonesia. Report published by UNWTO in 2015, shows that the industry contributes 9 percent of the world GDP. Recently, Indonesia is taking more serious action in developing tourism industry in the country. Tourism has been set up as the biggest money spinner for Indonesian foreign revenue in the future. The goal of the Indonesian government is to achieve more than 20 million foreign tourists by 2019. Many Indonesian cities transform themselves to be a place of doing business as well as a place to visit. As the second biggest city in Indonesia, Surabaya plays important role as the hub of development for eastern part of the country. Surabaya has grown from manufacture based city into service and trade city. Tourism destination development becomes one of the important issues in Surabaya. Since2005, the use of city branding “Sparkling Surabaya”, has made the city become one of tourist destinations in East Java region. Destination development needs constant and effective support by the stakeholders. The local government has an important role in destination development. This study aims to identify the role of the government in the process of developing the destination in Surabaya. This study is done qualitatively by using in depth interview with the executives body that represented by Surabaya Tourism Office, as the primary data. The strategy and the action plan of the government are also explored in the study. The result shows that Surabaya government has an important role in destination development; by working closely with other stakeholders, such as private business and local community. This study can be used by the government as the reflection of their strategy in developing the destination. Moreover, all of the executives of Surabaya government need to have the same objectives and perspective in developing Surabaya as tourist destination in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauhmana masyarakat mengkonsomsi ikan air tawar sebagai lauk alternatif dalam kesehariannya. Target khusus yang ingin dicapai adalah mendorong agar masyarakat lebih banyak mengkonsumsi ikan air tawar. Luaran yang dicapai ialah, memetakan jenis ikan air tawar mana saja yang paling disukai oleh masyarakat. Menjadikan hasil penelitian terpublikasi baik di jurnal nasional atau Internasional, dan menjadikan bahan ajar bagi mahasiswa. Ikan termasuk sumber protein yang mudah diperoleh, apalagi Indonesia sebagai negara maritim dengan sekian banyak ragam ikan dan masih ditambah lagi dengan jenis perikanan diperairan darat Indonesia tersedia jenis aneka ikan air tawar yang melimpah, dan dikembangkan dalam industri pangan. Ikan laut mudah didapat dengan harga relatif terjangkau dan menjadi pilihan sumber protein dalam menu keluarga. ( Lilly T Erwin, 1: 2015).

Abstract

Belitung is one of the regencies in Bangka Belitung Province that has quite large mineral resources of tin mining and has provided a lot of benefit to Belitung Regency for hundreds years. However, these unsustainable mineral resources reserves dwindling and has impact in environmental damage. Meanwhile, Belitung also has the potential of nature tourism that is very unique. The tourism sector is expected to replace the previously development bases of Belitung regency in mining sector, which in turn could improve the welfare of society. This policy also supported by determination Tanjung Kelayang area as a National Tourism Strategic Area. The acceleration of tourism development has not been balanced yet by the readiness of the community, both of as a host and as a business tourism operator. This study aims to assess the community readiness take on tourism-based development. Identifying the readiness both of as the host, which encompass cognitive, affective a nd conative aspects as well as tourism businesses operators, which encompass cognitive, functional and social competencies. Based on the results of analysis, known that the local community of Tanjung Kelayang area still not ready either as a host or as a tourism business operators. Miners mindset for hundreds years has been deeply embedded in the public mindset. However, along with the accelerating of tourism development, the community began to transform into the tourism community. Moreover, some people’s respond is to begin changing their professions to the tourism sector, despite of not continuous and only rely on a drop of skills. Based on the results of analysis, also noted that the community’s competencies as a tourism business operators are still very low level, especially of cognitive competencies and functional competencies, which indicates the low competitiveness of Belitung tourism. People who started to switch the professions in tourism sector, currently do not have the educational background of tourism and neither any formal tourism training yet. All the expertise and skills that they have only rely on the expertise and skills that has learned autodidact and hereditary. Therefore, formed the Local Working Group (LWG) as an opinion leader whose role is to foster and to assist the communities, and also to mediate the various elements of tourism actors in order to collaborate in the development of tourism.

Abstract

Coconut-based material for various home industries in North Sulawesi has made a contribution and become a source of income for local community such as furniture, copra, coconut oil, delicated coconut, various cakes and handicrafts. This study is aimed to evaluate and monitor the growths and product quality of handicraft made of coconut wood and sheel that has been produced by local community in the handicraft centers. The souvenirs with a characteristic or symbol representing the local characteristics of North Sulawesi is taken into consideration to give values to the visitors so that they can prove to their families, relatives, and friends that they really visited the place. This study employed interviews, on-site observation and FGD (Focus Group Discussion). The research identified constraints, problems and challenges encountered by craftsmen and souvenir business operators. Thus, souvenir models and design as a supporting tourism product in North Sulawesi need to be improved in terms marketability, competitiveness and of uniqueness with its local characteristic of North Sulawesi. Bahan mentah industri rumah tangga dari bahan dasar kelapa di Sulawesi Utara telah memberikan kontribusi dan menjadi sumber pendapatan bagi masyarakat lokal seperti mebel, kopra, minyak kelapa, bungkil kopra kelapa, berbagai macam penganan serta kerajinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pertumbuhan dan kualitas produk kerajinan yang terbuat dari kayu dan tempurung kelapa yang dihasilkan oleh masyarakat setempat di pusat-pusat kerajinan. Souvenir dengan karakteristik atau simbol yang mewakili karakteristik lokal dari Sulawesi Utara menjadi perhatian untuk memberikan nilai kepada para pengunjung sehingga mereka dapat membuktikan kepada keluarga, kerabat, dan teman-teman mereka bahwa mereka benar-benar mengunjungi daerah ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalahwawancara, observasi lapangan dan FGD (Focus Group Discussion).Melalui penelitian ini teridentifikasi kendala, masalah dan tantangan yang dihadapi oleh para pengrajin dan pelaku usaha souvenir. Dengan demikian, model souvenir dan desain sebagai produk pariwisata yang mendukung di Sulawesi Utara perlu ditingkatkan dalam hal pemasaran, daya saing dan keunikan dengan ciri khas lokal dari Sulawesi Utara.

Abstract

Research landscape management strategy Nostalgia Parks Kupang, aims to analyze the landscape character nostalgic tour of the gardens, the potential and constraints, as well as to propose management strategies garden tour of the city. The research method using three analyzes, namely SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the region; analysis of the carrying capacity of the region, and analysis of the characteristics, perceptions, and preferences of visitors. The study was conducted in September 2014 to January 2015. The results showed that the preparation of several important strategies park management system, especially in the area of economic value utilization system, enforcement of visitors travel to / tenant clearly, design improvements (re-design) and garden materials that facilitate / gives a sense of comfort for users, promoting the implementation of local arts and cultural activities that interested visitors, as well as maintaining a special green open space for wildlife.
