Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the increase in activity in the learning of students listened to the media fairy tale movies Elementary School fifth grade students Wonolelo 1 Sawangan, Magelang and (2) describe an increase listening skills with the media fairy tale movies Elementary School fifth grade students Wonolelo 1 Sawangan, Magelang.This reseach is a classroom action reseach. The subject were all students of class V, amounting to 20 students. Data obtained during the learning process in the classroom by using the medium of film. Actions carried out in two cycles . The instrument used is the student activity sheets and teacher observation , intervie, test, and documentation. The data were analyzed by descriptive qualitative is based on the reflection of each cycle the action.Results of this study indicate that (1) the medium of film can improve the learning activity of students in the fifth grade students listening to a fairy tale Wonolelo state primary Wonolelo 1, Sawangan, Magelang. (2) the medium of film can improve listening skills fairytale Elementary School fifth grade students primary Wonolelo 1, Sawangan, Magelang.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve learning outcomes through the use of thematic learning medium for students of class III comic Karanggondang Bantul elementary school year 2013/2014.This research is classroom action research ( CAR), which was commissioned jointly. Subjects in this study were students of class III SD Karanggondang Bantul totaling 34 students consisted of 17 female students and 17 male students. Object of this study is the result of the third grade elementary student learning Karanggondang Bantul on thematic learning using comics medium. Data collection techniques in this study was conducted with the test method and the method of observation. The instrument used in this study is testing and observation sheet. In this study, the test used is the test used. Test instrument is tested. Test trials tested are validity, distinguishing features, level of difficulty, and reliability. Data analysis techniques to determine the test with an average score on the learning outcomes of each cycle were used to determine the average value, the percentage increase in learning outcomes in each cycle, and the percentage of completeness that meet the KKM .The results showed that the learning outcomes on thematic learning using comics medium has increased from pratindakan, the first cycle and second cycle. This is indicated by an increase in the average value of student learning outcomes in pratindakan ie 65.56 increased to 73.09 in the first cycle and then again increased to 81.88 in the second cycle. The percentage of students who are able to reach KKM also increased each cycle is equal to 11.76% or 4 students at pratindakan, increased to 64.71%, or 22 people in the first cycle and the second cycle indicator of success has been achieved with the percentage of 82.35% or 28 students reached the KKM. Thus it is advisable for teachers to use comics in the thematic learning medium that can be considered as an alternative or efforts to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The role and function of teachers is very important in teaching and educating students, as well as in advancing education. The quality of student education and depend on and teacher’s quality. Teacher is a profession who prepare human resources to meet nation building in the independence. Teacher as one component of course inseparable from the education system. The paradigm of the national education system should include a variety of factors, including input, process, and output of education. In practice, more emphasis on education efforts to raise learners do something beneficial to the interests of society and the nation. So the teacher's role in creating an exciting and fun learning, teachers demanding more creative and professional. This is important, because in every lesson, has a very central role, well as planners, implementers, and evaluators in learning.

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to improve the activity and learning outcomes in mathematics of students 5th grade Balingasal 1 Public Elementary School through cooperative learning type Teams Games Tournament. The subjects of this research is 29 students of 5th grade Balingasal 1 Public Elementary. The object of this research were student’s activity and mathematics learning outcomes. The result showed that after treatment with cooperative learning type Teams Games Tournament at 5th grade Balingasal 1 Public Elementary School, activity and mathematics learning outcomes of students has increased. This was indicated by an increasing in the result percentage average activity of 36,64% in the pre-action, whereas at the first cycle improves with average percentage to 59,41%, improves in the second cycle to 77,16%. Mathematics learning outcomes of students also increased. The average of students learning outcomes in pre-action is 49,81. In the first cycle, the average result improves to 63,97. In the second cycle, the average result improves to 75,88. In conclusion, cooperative learning type Teams Games Tournament can improve activity and mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

 This study aims to determine the direction and magnitude of the relationship between learning based on local wisdom and culture of the school with learning outcomes 4th and 5th graders at Perumnas Condongcatur elementary school in academic year 2013/2014. The population of this study was 4th and 5th graders at Perumnas Condongcatur elementary school with a population of 121. The sample in this study amounted to 93 students. Sample of each class using population sampling techniques. Data collection technique using a questionnaire which further tested for validity and reliability. Test analysis showed that 1) there is a positive relationship between learning based on local wisdom and culture of the school with student learning outcomes; 2) partial there is a positive relationship between learning based on local wisdom and culture of the school with student learning outcomes. Partially, the relationship was Proportional between the cultures of the school with learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to improve motivation and science learning achievement to the IV grade students of Sumberadi 1 Elementary School using lift the flap medium. The design of this research is “Cl assroom Action Research”, with two cycles, which consist of 4 levels in each cycle. These levels are planning, field visit, observation and reflection. The subjects in this research is the IV grade students of Sumberadi 1 Elementary School which is 32 students. The data collecting technique in this research is observation, questionnaire, test, field notes, and documentation. The result showed that after the aplication of learning to use lift the flap medium to the IV grade students motivation and science learning achievement could improved. The persentage of motivation is 59,98% in previous cycle could improve 76,53% in first cycle and the second cycle improve to 85,41%. The average of the previous cycle improved from 62,06 to 73,63 in first cycle and in the second cycle was improved become 79,94. In conclusion, using lift the flap medium could improve motivation and science learning achievement to the IV grade students of Sumberadi 1 Elementary School.

Abstract

 Abstract: Pancasila as the Indonesian state should be the guideline for all Indonesian citizens in various spheres of life. But in fact this time the noble values of pancasila increasingly eroded due to the influence of westernization and globalization are less well filtered. Indication of the waning practice of pancasila values can be seen from the increasing number of cases involving young people which reflects the weak character of the nation, such as the rise of student brawls, clashes between students, anarchist demonstrations, cases immoral, crime, and so forth. To restore the values of pancasila in the life of society, nation and state need for revitalization efforts. Revitalization means process, ways, and actions to revive something that was previously lacking empowered. Through revitalization, expected values of pancasila became more terberdaya in Indonesian society. All parties can actively participate in efforts to revitalize pancasila values in all aspects of life. One of them is to instill the values of pancasila through teaching in schools in an effort to form a good character of the younger generation. The younger generation as a potential successor to the leadership of the Indonesian nation must maintain and practice the values of pancasila to people's lives and the country in the future for the better in the sense of the Indonesian nation has identity as a nation of character .

Abstract

This article presents an overview of the application of mind map in science learning in elementary school. Mind maps help teachers and students in summarizing material science. The use of colors, images, keywords or short sentences on the mind map is able to stimulate the creativity of students. Creativity leads to thinking creatively here. When creating a mind map, students connect some important concepts in science-related topics. Thus a balance exists between the functions of the right brain with the left brain. In addition, students are also involved in the manufacture of divergent ideas based on the theme then through a process of convergent thinking students can find solutions related to the theme. f the dimension is associated with learning, teachers can stimulate students' creativity by stimulating their thinking abilities (cognitive dimension), foster an attitude and an interest in making a mind map (affective dimension) and provide the facilities and infrastructure to create mind maps (psychomotor dimension) .

Abstract

This study aims to improve learning motivation in social science through Jigsaw cooperative learning model to fourth grade students of SDN Jabres, Sruweng subdistrict, Kebumen district.This research is a classroom action research undertaken collaboratively. Design of this study  using model of Kemmis and Taggart consisting of 3 cycles. Subject in this study were fourth  grade students of SDN Jabres, Sruweng subdistrict, Kebumen district total of 32 students  consisting of 14 male students and 18 female students. Data was collected by questionnaires,  observations and field notes. Quantitative data was analyzed using descriptive statistic and Qualitative data using flow model. The result showed that after application of the Jigsaw method of learning can improve  learning motivation in social science. It was marked by an increased percentage of the  average number of learning motivation in pre action there was 19%, in the first cycle 53%, in  the second cycle 78% and 94% in the third cycle. Based on the results of research conducted,  researcher advises schools or teachers can improve the students’ motivation and apply the  Jigsaw model on learning.

Abstract

 Abstract: The multiculturalism problem isn’t only the indonesian but also global’s problem. Multiculturalism is one of the problem key in the world which is crusial, including indonesia, in facing the global changes in the future, evenmore the national history in past time which apparent and controlled by the hardness. It gives priority to the uniformity which is like the sociopolitical order in Indonesia since 1965. Multicultural learning has been given to the child since early aging, it will givw the initial understanding which decide very much, because it’s golden phase, this phase plays an important role to the development in adult time. Education of elementary school, in practical is materialized through which the programmes are variety and packed into informational istitutional and the effort which is looked so important in framework to give understanding about multicultural concept through the education of elementary school.
