Abstract

The TSP problem can resolved using Genetic Algorithms. In other previous research,crossover is one process that can be eliminated from the genetic algorithm to get better optimization. This research tried to solve TSP by using genetic algorithms without using the crossover. To improve optimization by applying the method of mutation with 2 phases. Mutation operator used the inversion mutation, exchange mutation, and insertion mutation . The results using these methods is the average error percentage of optimum distance 10%.Keywords: Travelling Salesmen Problem, Genetic Algorthim, Two Step Mutattion

Abstract

With the issuance of PP No. 19 In 2005, Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) has become an necessity for an higher education institution that aims to achieve continuous improvement. Most colleges including Universitas Atma Jaya Makassar has implemented a model of management and control system for academic process by relying on the outcome of process, not the concurrent of the process itself. In order to achieve continuous improvement, the quality assurance system needs a control system that not only rely on the outcome but more important is the implementation the process itself. This research aims to develop a prototype model of management and control system of academic process that focuses on the monitoring and evaluating function of the academic process, especially the academic process which runs at theUniversity of Atma Jaya Makassar. This research uses UML methodology based on objectoriented approach to take advantage on computer networks as the supporting technology. The prototype model of the resulting system will help facilitate the implementation and quality assurance of academic process through increased control and evaluation function in a structured academic process and in real timeKeywords: supervision, governance, higher education, prototype, model, system

Abstract

Utilization of electrical energy in a building direct impact on carbon emissions. One of them in commercial buildings such as campus, industry and banking. Therefore, it needs building management systems by monitoring electrical quantities. This research aims to build a data acquisition system of electrical quantities in commercial buildings. Real time data acquisition by using the Modbus TCP protocol as a communication media between the RTU and MTU integrated with SCADA. LabView is a software that acts as a software tool to visualize data acquisition. Theresults is the utilization of the electrical energy of the building can be monitored so that its use more efficient.Keywords: commercial building, Modbus TCP, monitoring, LabView, SCADA

Abstract

The design of an interface model is expected to contribute in creating a system that improves effective and efficient IT Governance. Hospital as a public facility in health field requires an interface system to communicate to stakeholders. Services performance evaluation interface model is one of the fundamental requirements for strategic development of IT Governance in the future. The presence of current cloud computing technology is a solution in supporting operations in the hospital. The challenge is how hospitals can adopt these technologies. An effective strategy derives from services performance evaluation results so that the use of technology can create efficient IT Governance in terms of financial. Mapping business alignment with IT strategy needs to be done especially in the selection of cloud-based service provider outsource. The method used to adopt cloud computing architecture was referenced to one of the IT Governance international standards which is TOGAF ADM. System architecture models include interface design, infrastructure management, classification, definition, and connectivity design. Abstract

This research aimed to develop the image search system using content-based retrieval approach by applying algorithm to extract low-level feature from images. Low-level information that is used to extract image features in the image retrieval system is color information contained in the image. Composition of color pixels in an image can be represented in a color histogram. The degree of similarity between the image colors is determined based on the distance between the histogram using Laplace distance and Euclidean distance. The smaller the distance between the histogram, the higher the percentage of similarity of an image. Results of image retrieval through the database will be displayed according to the query by example method performed by a user, based on the sequence of images that have a higher percentage of similarity. The test results for images with a maximum size of 150 x 150 pixels get fairly accurate results with percentages of similarity is above 60 percent.Keywords: Content Based Image Retrieval, Histogram, color space
